I am absolutely blown away by what has been done to this classic since ive been gone, and that after all this time, so many other people still love this game as much as my lady and I do! after a looong time away we are 100+++ hrs into the newest patch and we have been -blown away- by the fit and finish of it. no issues whatsoever, ad hoc gaming on laptops for the win, no dcs, just good times and tall drinks on our end! it is insane that we havent had a crash, bug, or any issues like the old days xD Cheers and thank you all for the amazing rework we will be donating soon!   2. Hello! Yes. All languages, just like always. Czevak and Pesmontis have helped prepare the German localization. We are the same team. This release is a test version, just like Czevak and Marcus always released in between official releases. We are using MantisBT just like always to track and fix bugs and restore content. The only difference is I am making the announcements and leading this release.

  3. Last post for today, and before another week of work begins. With the aforementioned configuration I was able to play an hour straight until I finally had a a CTD. But once I returned to Sloeford and the game started stuttering I knew I shouldn't have entered a cave on the following minute. That's when it went down. But it was one hour straight with ET on and the game running smooth so I can't complain, plus nothing tells me that this threshold is to be had each and every time. I'll see if I can time the amount of minutes without a crash, and sorry Dimitrius but for me the objective is to play with ET, even if I have to endure a crash here and there. It's a small price to pay I reckon. Happy hunting people, I'll be back.

  4. Thanks to both of you for the replies. And please forgive my remarks as I wasn't demanding anything, more like a "ah crap..." venting of air in my chest. I'm playing with ET on/Physx off with AA/AF running from the NCP and so far it's been going nicely, though yeah there's the occasional slowdown here and there. Nothing remarkable though, and I've been using the new magic staff implementation to play mostly in third person view at the ground level, it's a cool change of perspective and the game responds fine so far.

  5. To me as well. I've just recently came across a reference to console commands, among them the one "mem mgr". It prints current memory usage statistics to console. That's how I found about the stated fact.

  8. Yes for me Anti-Aliasing on/off didn't have any noticeable affect in this scenario, but texture size made a dramatic difference. With texture quality at minimal I could run up and down the entirety of problem areas like Griffinborough or Teardrop Hamlet without a single hitch, even with all other settings activated and maxed out (PhysX, AA, Weather, Shadows, etc.). Pulling out just the textures that "need" elite versions (because the normal versions are of such low quality) is a big project. You can't tell the difference between a lot of landscape and architecture, but for NPC's and weapons, oftentimes the only textures that look half-decent are the elite versions. Case in point:

No the 'double mount' isnt fixed with that system.rar you posted : iv had a mount before cm patch 1.50 no duplication iv had a mount before cm patch 1.60 beta the mount is being cloned no matter what you do, even selling the mount saving and reloading doesnt matter the mount is still being there near the player after reload lol, even after using an save WITHOUT the 'double mount bug'... buying and selling any horse will leave that 'cloned ' mount there unsusable untill you sell your actuall mount then you can sell the cloned mount but it spawns again after reloading if you sell that too... another thing is that apparently the mount cloned IS the horse iv had BEFORE beta 1.60..interesting..even selling reloading, selling alt-tab deleting the save then saving within the game doesnt fix it...odd

  10. Great work as ever, thank you Flix. Loading is drastically increased (and no, I'm not playing on a potato). For the first time ever, this game works fine in fullscreen mode with windows 10. Before I have to play in windowed mode. I love it! Everything works fine, just the stacking for potions. With healthpotions, it works fine. Drop them, put them back to the inventory, they are stacking up to 99. But all other potions don't. I drop them, collect them from the ground (I tried with manual clicking also as with the "collect all"-button). They are in tbe inventory, but stacksize is just 20.

  11. d_gpuSync = 1, - used in pair waitForGpuMode seems to improve game responsiveness. waitForGpuMode = 1, - used in pair with d_gpuSync seems to improve game responsiveness. checkWorldPositions = 1, - not well researched, purely experimental. dxDetect = 1, - installed DirectX detection enableMobilitySupport = 0, - seems to disable functionality, pertaining to notebook power consumption optimization, should improve performance usePhysHW = 1, - enables hardware PhysX(which, for me at least, is pretty stable). Will, perhaps, not work for non-Nvidia adapters. detail_physx = 0, - switches off software PhysX(which appears no be unstable sometimes)

  13. Yeah, D3 is fun, but in a different way to Sacred. Only gaming I've been doing lately is on a Nintendo Switch - Zelda Breath of the Wild is simply awesome and the switch means I can play it on the train to and from work, when I don't normally have a lot of time for gaming otherwise.
