  1. As my first official power-hungry, ahm, moderating task I'm immediately locking this thread to present an overdose of poutine. No slobbering around, ha! But for real, thanks for the promotion and warm welcome. Thank you master slaver for the heartwarming introduction. The software upgrade seems to be in line with another gaming forum where I was given moderator status, so it shouldn't prove too hard to get a grasp of it. There are barely any bots or bad posters here so it should be easy cruisin.

  2. You can get the Community Patch here: You can install it on Steam. It works the same as with any other installation. Simply run the installer file. It's true the Destroyers used to explode prematurely sometimes. This is another bug we fixed in the Community Patch.

  4. The Dragon Mage has many bugs and balance problems without the Community Patch. The Dragon Magic aspect in particular performs very badly without the patch. He also has a bug where he cannot remove combat arts from his combos. This is fixed in the patch, among many other issues. The Patch was designed to preserve the developer's vision of the game. The interface design is changed somewhat but it can be switched back to the default if you don't like the look of it.

  5. You can see him answering questions across the sites from DarkMatters, to Steam Community. He's done dilligent work with Flix and the CM Patch team in helping team this beast called "Sacred 2" under control so that now more than ever folks globally can indulge in this gem of a game released a decade ago and fight bosses and assorted other bad guys across the lands of Ancaria. He writes with happy heart, is game-technically adept and has a bag of solutions that has kept frustrated hair-pullers coming back with smiles to this game. Please help us welcome Androdion as our newest Moderator to the team, where his rookie poutine - shower awaits him. Welcome to the team, Androdion!! gogo

  8. When looking at this thread and then the CA's, makes me consider if I should have played an elemental build with Destroyers ... with those summoned golems that attack and blow up everything! That could have been hugely satisfying... if the Destroyers' targeting was decent that is Rawr! gogo

  10. Welcome Dragon mage more versatile and less dying, elf more powerful.... I liked to start the game with a Dragon mage transformed into a dragon berzerker. In dragon form first levels should be easy. But only take the dragon mage focus to modify the combat arts. The focus to 75 is enough to have a fully modified high level companion later in the game. more intelligence, more willpower to your character. When you leave berzerk form fight with a weapon, if you found: use regeneration per hit items to recharge an offensive spell from mentalism tree. I think the dragon mage is more interesting because he can be played as a dragon berzerk, as a melee hybrid which does high level spells once they are recharged with spells, or as a pure mage once you got the items. No need to start over and over. He allows to change the playstyle by combining items in another way.

  11. Welcome to DarkMatters! I hope you enjoy the game. I recommend the Dragon Mage if you have the Community Patch installed. He is my favorite character. The High Elf is easier to play. I recommend High Elf if you don't have the Community Patch.

  12. Welcome to DarkMatters, Thaumork! I wish I had more information to share with you regarding a comparison of the classes...as it turns out, I almost exclusively played High Level Dryads and dabbled a few in the other classes. I myself do love magic, but ranged had become my thing, and the Dryad has an instant travel speed BlowPipe... a sheer delight to use, and capable of deploying with a number of other on demand protections like healthpoing boost which suited my play style. I did play up to Niobium in Hard Core a Dragon Mage, and used an almost pure magic buiild. A lot of fun to play but a tad fragile for my own style and ultimately not as fast as the Dryad. I know that teh Dragon Mage has many different styles, many of them with using other beasts, and there have been some great guides here written by some outstanding players, and I'm hoping they will see your post and be able to offer some advice. Thank you for finding us and this wonderful game. YOu're now a part of this awesome community (more than a decade! ) and hoping you'll get your gamings worth gogo

  13. The court says that a person has the right to tell facebook in advance that his account has to be deleted in case of death. Same as if he says that his letters and diaries have to be burned in case of death. If not it falls under inheritance law it seems: https://www.dw.com/en/facebook-court-rules-parents-have-rights-to-dead-daughters-account/a-44642230 All is a bit of a two edged sword: private sphere against the right of parents to check if internet mobbing may have caused the suicide of her child. The judge did it even more general in saying that internet accounts are always under inheritance law even if no crime involved. Diaries can be valuable and time witnesses as the one of Anne Frank.
