  1. I. Ever bought something online and recognized that the prices are different if you use a smartphone or a desktop? The algorithms used by online shops consider smartphone users buying quicker and comparing less than desktop users so they try higher prices. II. My wife is a doc and she says that more and more kids have problems with their necks. A head is like 10 pounds, Looking down at a 45 degree angle multiplies this weight. The anatomy of humans is still optimized for a distant look for predators in the open savannah. Looking down at the smartphone needs a lot of muscle work especially for a kid. Muscles are not bad, but if you never use the muscles in the opposite direction for a similar time the muscles will stiffen. III. Smombies. Ever did a emergency breaking with a 20ton fire truck because a smombie crosses the street, looking down to the phone while wearing anti-noise headphones. Fire trucks shouldn't have signal horns and flash lights. Sending an electric magnetic high energy pulse 200 metres to the front would be more useful I think. IV. Even more evil than a smombie are the ones who block the street at an accident because they are using their smartphone to film the crash and upload the video. Doing a video of helpless or dead people is a crime here, spreading it is the next and blocking access to the scene for emergency vehicles is another one.

  2. Hello everyone! I just registered an account here so maybe I'm doing this all wrong and I'm supposed to make an introduction post first (if I do need to, please let me know), but I just wanted to ask a few questions regarding the community patch for Sacred 2. Specifically, is the patch only for the on-disc version of Ice and Blood, or can it also be used with Steam's "Sacred 2: Gold"? Thing is, I live in Canada, and that makes getting the disc version of Ice and Blood very difficult, since I heard it was only for European versions of the game at the time of its release, which is why I went for Steam's gold version. Also, I read somewhere that characters that were made before you download the patch will not be compatible with the new patch. Does this mean anything regarding the character (including items, weapons, etc.), or just the character itself? Because I have a lot of really good stuff on an old Temple Guardian of mine from Fallen Angel that I've been thinking of transferring into the shared stash so I can start anew in the Gold version, but I want to know if those items will be broken should I download the patch. It would be a shame if they were, it was the best armor pieces for the Temple Guardian I've ever found in the game. Sorry to bother you all with this, I just really wanted to get some answers. My mom and I love Sacred 2 and we've been eyeing the community patch for a while, we just didn't have enough information regarding some of the more specific things about it. Thanks in advance for any answers you guys give! (PS: It's good to know that this place is still active, I was worried for a bit that not many people were going to be around since it's a fairly old game.)

  3. Yeah, there's the chance that your gold items will have randomly different bonuses. You can do backups of the saves before loading them if you want, and see how they roll out afterwards.

  4. Don't sweat it, we're all very smooth riders here. ;) Anyway, the patch should run with every iteration of the 2.65 version of the game, be it FA+I&B or Sacred 2 Gold Edition. That's also accounting for physical and digital distribution, so you're good to go. Regarding the equipment, if what you have are uniques, legendaries and set items they won't be changed unless they've been re-balanced between the release of FA and I&B. On the other hand if those items are rare (yellow) then I'm sorry but once you load the chest their stats will be completely different. Please realise that these items are RNG, so once you change the game version they suffer a re-roll of their stats. That's valid for both developer patches and community made patches. The idea about starting anew after installing CM Patch is for the sake of consistency and stability of your progress, items and quest log.

  5. It's great having a purpose like this. As long as you can see where you want to get to, the nowness of the swimming is transformed from dogpaddling in no place to a powered motive with a completed dream goal in mind. This is how the best athletes get to gold we are here to witness the finish line gogo

  7. As you say there was a big difference between the last two videos and that seems like as good sign that things are flowing well for you and the rest of the team! Good luck going forwards!!

  8. I took a look at the videos and the FAQ and I hope the project is complete as soon as possible! Sorry if I never looked at this topic, but now you have all my support! I also used Unreal Engine 4, and it's definitely the best 3d game engine. (Not like unity, that's a lot worse).

  9. Thank you. Yes it's quite the journey for us as well. Most of us never did a game close to LifeLeech's scope. So it's even interesting to see how it progresses to our self. We had a lot of ups and downs and we are currently on a huge upswing, I think you can tell from the last video. It starts to feel like an actual game. Still a long road ahead of us before we are confident enough to look for further financing, like a Kickstarter. But it's now pretty clear to us, that the game is actually happening, one way or the other.
