kittens -> valerian treated lure-stick
We have more than a dozen in surroundings of the house. Cats and wildcats like valerian. So a rough wooden stick is rammed in the ground and the top sprayed with valerian. The cat/wildcat will rub against the stick and looses somes hair. Then DNA analysis says if cat or wildcat, So when we bring out the sticks our cats are forced to stay in barn for 2 weeks.
Currently we have real wildcats in the forests. So our cats were sterilised/fixed to prevent hybrids. Learned the hard way: 2 of the 5 kittens of our norwegian forest cat were Blendlings - cat-wildcat hybrids. Untamable but couldn't be set free unsterilised. The two 'work' in a factory as rat killers.
You know that of all the cats (lions, tigers, cougars, ...) the European Wildcat is the only one which can't be tamed and has highest weapon weight compared to size?
