  3. Ah, too bad. I was afire already. But I believe somehow it is not over yet. However. We made good progress during the last months and the forum is blooming. It is a pleasure to see that so many players return. Maybe, you want to keep an eye on us. It will surely pay. Maybe you can answer me a question. I remember that you brought sounds into the game. Which kind of sounds if I may ask?

  4. Hello everyone. My name is Christopher. I live in WA State USA. I've been a long time Clan-DA member. After my long hiatus from the Sacred community, I'm happy to be back, and I am glad to get to know all of the new (and re-acquainting with the veteran) members of DarkMatters! Cheers, - DarkWolfNine

  5. Ok, since as you can see, the new Lightning Lord is a retex of the DM's old Protector, and since I had previously the Protector as the new Earth Lord, some things are rearranged now. First, Earth Lord is reverted back to his old textures, BUT with some changes: The Earth Lord again looks to be made of volcanic rock instead of the "fresh soil" look of the Protector. However, instead of the intense orange glow of vanilla, he now has the lava shader applied. It's hard to capture in a picture, but the cracks in his skin (and his eyes) now pulse and shift like flowing magma. Vanilla: D2F v14: This makes him look a little more dangerous and interesting than the old static glow. I also changed one of his spells, replacing his summoning spell with the "Dirt Spray" attack that the Garganthropod uses. Because of this change, elite Earth Elementals no longer use this skin, and are changed back to the vanilla skin (identical to normal earth elementals, but larger). I also took this opportunity to review and rework the stats and spells of each Lord. Now each one has a significant vulnerability (a "prone bonus") to a single element - this will correspond with the missing armor type in their health bar. Physical mitigation is reduced from v13 for all of them except the Earth Lord. Outtake: I experimented with a new Ice Lord but ultimately decided not to fix what wasn't broken. This might be nice design for the friendly water elemental in Tyr Lysia.

  8. Ha ha, I think we do. Honest joke, I was cutting up the peppers and saying to the wifey "don't worry, if it's too much at least we're closed at home". True story! We both love spicy food though. The pork stew on the other day had a big chunk of Carolina Reaper. Power pig!

  13. Delighted to meet one of the early modders, Zersius, There's been a kind of resurgence in this game in last wee while with some great modding going on coming from, as yo mentioned, the Russian Team who posts regularly here with their work, Dax with skins ...and Flix's brilliant new mod for Sacred a la Diablo... The Fallen welcome to DArkMatters! gogo

  14. I've been working on a 5th elemental lord, since there are 5 damage types in the game, and the Earth Lord has been pulling double duty for physical/magic. The Lightning Lord is attuned the "magic" damage type: He will have his own quest line in Hissil'Ta. In the Ruins of Khatuz where you first arrive at the swamp, Asheara and some of her Iron Wolves will be nearby to fill you in. The Perfect Amethyst quest reward will also get moved to this quest. The Earth Lord will reward a physical Sigil (Wol) instead. Earth Lord is also going to get some updates - more on that soon.

  15. There you go again Gogo "Its here again... Sheppard's Pie!... we call it by it's venerable name here Pate Chinois... " I never did understand what you mean by z"Sheppards Pie" and now I am even more confused. In English English these pies are usually named after the meat or its Producer? Shepherd's - mutton, Cottage - beef, Game - game (oddly enough). My late son-in-law was called Sheppard but he was no cook. "Chinois" really? I have seen Middle Easterners chasing an escaped sheep down a back street in Paris for their couscous royale. I know that forum members have been at you for as long as I can remember about this naming of yours, but I can't recall any convincing explanation. Just what is it that you are referring to ....er pal, ...or is it now ex-pal?

  16. There might be another option. Overlookers have altered some spawn triggers in their code modification Sacred Reborn. In some caves, teleport to Hedgenton, head east and follow the river, boss monsters spawn. I guess these guys have the toolset too. MetaL is here every day, Starling as well. Maybe they can help. Zerisius is also on Sacredvault.org, the site is still alive but very very quiet nowadays. Thorium keeps it running, he is a member here too, maybe he can send Zerisius a message. I will give it a try, the site is in German mostly. Also I will try to find out some more about the location of the toolset. It was not more than a single phrase I remember, but I will see what I can do.

Hello sacred lovers, I've got some skins four our assassin, the Dark Elf. I'm still looking for that secret texture of ,,Shalinor the Dark Elf" but I can't seem to find it anytime... Well, Enjoy assassinating your enemies with these skins! I left a read me file if someone don't know how to make this work (I do that everytime, but it can't hurt to give a guide)

Seraphim was my first character and she did not disappoint. The smooth Attack animation, the sci-fi powers and need I say the heels ... running in sand without sinking an inch and landing upright from a somersault down a cliff. Hence, I've decided to give her a little makeover starting with the boots, then the stockings which garters seem to always show. Pre-selected files for those with alternatives are included in the main file BLACK ARCANNA. The other zip files are the compilations of color or design options I had but also include the presets for completion. My retexture for her is rather basic but still meets my preference. Her black footwear and longer gloves inspired by The Witcher 3's Yennefer. The gold accents were my personal touch to make her look a little more exquisite. As for the powers, I wanted to go for something reminiscent of DC Comics' Raven. Black colored laser beams should look cool but nigh impossible so I settled with Violet Arcane magic. Similar to the Daemon from my previous post, I gave her eyes, brows and lips this time from Yennefer, removing the regular war paint in the process. I also lowered her hairline and gave her three hair colors -- black, auburn and white -- with different colored hair ties since I'm indecisive. I have also accidentally discovered a bug which erases the pigtails and included it in the zip file. Above are three of her less popular buffs. Light Shield with astrological signs since I wanted to keep it simple but rune-ish. Strength of Faith which I turned into an ankh -- Egyptian symbol of life. Light uses the same texture as Rotating Blades of Light but since I use the latter more often I had to turn the former to a light pink to make the other one violet. Usually preferred damaging spells RBoL and Lightning Bolt both turned violet. My boss killer, Celestial Light, with the in-game screenshot as the preset and the ones on the right -- 12 Zodiacs and Hallows -- as alternatives compiled into one zip. I am unsure of the potential of Energy Bolts since I don't use it but because it looks nice and reminds me of Starfire's star bolts from the DC Comics' Teen Titans cartoon I've recolored it as well. Last but not least, magical BFG shots to keep things consistent with the witchy theme. Violet Arcane and Storm magic along with the original Blue ones they came from; topmost as preset but everything found in the zip. NOTE: You might observe that several glowing objects in-game such as lamp posts may be recolored light pink because of this mod. If you find that this ruins the mood, skipping 5 TGA files starting with "PARTICLE" should fix it. This, however, reverts some of the skills to their original color. INSTALLATION. Unzip the file/s of your choosing and paste them within the PAK folder from where you installed Sacred. Enjoy!
