  1. Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to this forum but Sacred has been with me for ages. In Sacred 1 I was known as "Jindujun" and I've been terrorizing the Open Net and also the Closed Net with a few others through the ArtMoney program. When Sacred 2 was released, I got into modding and was actively involved in the German Community, playing HC only, creating guides and builds. I was part of the CiSacred modding crew. Maybe one of you is here. I did an IT apprenticeship with the firm intention of one day applying to Ascaron. I know that at the time it was just a dream, but it ended anyway with their insolvency. When the Servers shut down I left Sacred 2 and moved to WoW. Sacred 2 has always been extremely unstable for me and I accepted all the bugs and crashes, even if they didn't lead to HC death just once. I've been waiting for Sacred 2 to be finally playable and with the Purist Patch the dream came true. Glad to be back. I forgot to introduce the main character: She's going the HC way and will be Flaring Nova/Dual Wield and Archangel’s Wrath. (woah in German they are called Shockwave and Swordsfire) I do not download any gear or modify the balance files. May she live long and prosper.

  3. Alright folks I have merged the Dragon Mage mutation set module with the main PFP. This makes development and support much easier on me, and will fix the lingering crash to main menu problem for users of the DM Mutation set. New release is 1.1, download links are updated, this was the only change.

  4. I don't have anything else installed, I had a clean I&B installation and just put your mod on top. The problem is solved by replacing those two files, it might be fixed with the drop.txt only, I haven't tried to replace just one of them I always do the quest at thylysium docks, but it happens with any quest But I also want to take this opportunity to thank you very much for this work. My Sacred 2 was absolutely unplayable, it crashed every 3 minutes and I couldn't leave the Crystal Plains anymore since it crashed when I tried to port away. With the Community Patch it was finally stable again, but I didn't like the new sets and Items, I didn't like them in the old German Forum back then when they were created... I'm sure a lot of heart and soul went into it, but it didn't feel like the base game anymore. The Purist Patch is everything I ever wanted from Sacred 2, and I can hardly believe that after 10 years I'm starting the game again exactly on the day when the purist patch came out of the beta. Thank you, I told my friends to download it and finally enjoy the game. EDIT: I know what might have happened: There is also a drop.txt in "PFP DM Mutation Set" and it probably did overwrite the updated version from Purist Fixpack.

    Ladies and Gentleman, may I present to you: My own Model & Texture Designs for the Main Sets and Special Mounts. These are part of Lindor's mod (which is still in development and not released yet), but got decoupled by me into an own mod. Complete changelist: Inquisitor Sets The Deylen's Power Set got new shaders and textures Mounts Non-Elite the aspectless non-saddle spider got a saddle now all saddled spiders have the same (golden) saddle now all non-saddled spiders removed from Hugart (Mount-Island vendor) inventory all spiders have now the T-Energy-glow on their main body T-Energy-glow of Spiders now only affects the dots All Spiders Eye, Hair and Skin got retextured Elite all armored spiders share the same model and texture with their non-Elite versions now Inquisition and Astute Supremacy spider armor got retextured Astute Supremacy spider armor now got T-Energy-Glow There are four verions of this mod, one for each of those: Dimitrius's CM-Patch Addendum (not released yet) Sacred 2 EE 3.0a CM-Patch Integrated into Lindor's mod (not released yet) Special Thanks to: @Flix for his patience in sharing his modding experience and explaining up to the very detailiest detail @dimitrius154 for sharing his codesided in-depth knowledge, providing the original model for the armored spiders and sharing the Trimmed Elite-Textures The original CM-Patch Team, the CM serves as a basis for all mods this mod is released for @gogoblender, @Schot, all the supporting members and everyone else making hosting this file here at DarkMatters possible

  6. Welcome Home, Vishanka! I am flaying the Purest Fixpack now, as well. I only get a crash very rarely when I cover a lot of the map and without stopping for a long time. I still do a quick save after I get a special drop and sometime preemptively. I hope that you will drop in now and then. There are many here who share your love of Sacred II.

Its almost weekend! gogo p.s. we just have to get Schot in on this so it will be some time later tonight, I remember having this convo with others a few years back and had thought we'd adjusted the limit after moving our website to new hosting. we're trying as much as possible to keep as much Sacred info here because many other sites after five or six years have gone out of business leaving us to find homes for all the Sacred stuff in the world . We're all mad here don't you know so we're not going anywhere gogo

  12. You can find them on youtube and the russian social network VK. The team has decrypted the games code and is doing changes via hex editor. (Mmh. I guess I have mentioned it already a few days ago) So there is not much you can do, speaking of coding. There are still some possibilities left, depending on your motivation and skill. You could, for example, remix ambients using Audacity, a freeware program. Textures are an option, ground retex is possible, if you got enough nerves, or editing 3d models in 2d. Well, thats it. Since I am too lazy today, I will answer your question, where to put mods right here. Put them into the pak folder. Thats it. And get yourself an installer. Just google it and learn how to make it work. Its not difficult, really. Why is that? Well, mods will start to clot together after a while and you wont be able to seperate them from each other again, depending on the amount of mods used.

  13. Happy New Years, everyone :) I meant to come back sooner, but I developed Covid symptoms on the day before Christmas Eve, and just today am I feeling back to my old self. Anyway, I'm watching a few games: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1118520/Paralives/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/1501310/The_Ranchers/ Vintage Story got a huge update, the rifts are my favorite part. Well, the ability to turn them off is my favorite part. I like a little danger; I just don't want danger spawning every night in my home. The rifts were cool, I just had to have my home lit up like a Christmas tree to avoid them spawning in my home. So, turning them off means I can still have temporal storms, still have subsurface drifters, and finally build the types of homes I want. I love modern contemporary homes bc they utilize natural lighting, but it kind of defeats the purpose when you have your home lit up like a Christmas tree. But playing solo was cool; the A.I did a darn good job of maintaining the sub. I don't know how the A.I handles the Captain role yet; I have too much fun as the Captain. I also haven't done any of the cave exploration much; tried it once, got lost, and drowned. I'm hoping the devs make a tutorial for that part, because I was terrible at it.

  15. rabbit -> Deutscher Riese My younger sister had some as a child. But not so big as this one with 22kilogramm and 132cm. Hers were just 9-12kg. The problem was that my grandpa breeded them for meat and not as a living teddybear replacement. But Maxi and Moritz got quite old.

  16. CM 1.60 installed, nothing else though I did change the font of the game, but this hasn't been a problem until recently. I figured this out though, I was following some solid recommendations on getting options.txt setup and for some dumb reason, I added this line: render.compass = 0 which.. obviously, does what it says. I feel dumb. Thanks for the warm welcome though!

  17. like every game, art book is a very key role to enrich the magic world, it is a pity that xbox 360 version of sacred 2 did not get the ice and blood expansion, neither any official patch fix, guess this game is dead already. miss the old day that I can spend days wondering in this gagatic seamless world.
