  1. Bad news - there is no shared chest like in Sacred 2. To set items aside for other characters you have to set up a multi-player LAN. Never done it myself so I can't really help, you'd have to dig through some older threads. For a melee character I'd go with a Soaring demon build - EPOX has a great guide. Dwarf is fun, theres a good vehemance and dwarven steel build posted - basically pump dwarven steel which reduces enemies physical resistance. Haven't played the vamp that much. Wood elf is fun with multi arrow and thorn bush. Poison mist dark elf is a great leveller, kills bosses easily but is a bit boring. Battle mage with water magic /ring of ice is good in the sense if you have bad regen times you can hide behind it, let monsters come to you. You get multiple Life leech, you can use split, and if when you hit someone with gust of wind they don't get knocked back as much. Gust of wind is poison damage which some monsters have low resistance too - Orcs iirc and Sakkara demons in UW. when you get to higher difficulties it isn't necessarily raw damage but resistance - so if 2 weapons did the same damage but one has more magic damage vs the other with more fire damage, then fire will do more damage vs ghosts.
  2. No problem. I added some extra advice and some links. Are you going for an air + water build or an air + fire build?
  3. I'll also add this build takes a while to shine. First 40 levels are slow, damage ain't that great but with better items it gets fun.
  4. Put most of your runes into Ghost meadow and keep it running. Leave Lightning strike at one rune. Keep putting points into mental regen (note - mental regen from items does not improve regen - there's a post about this somewhere) and air magic. Even at level one it will take a while to get it under one second. Take trading as soon as its available - try find items with regen spells %, +Combat arts, and magic damage. And try and get a 1H staff with 4 sockets too. Once you have ghost meadow, points in air magic and meditation, and some regen spells % from gear then assess if you need to eat a rune. And make sure you have magic & spell damage bonuses. LS base damage is pretty low in comparison to FB or ice shards. Eating a rune gives you a big regen penalty, whereas bonuses from items it is about half iirc. You can get a Lightning strike rune and socket it into a free socket - you also get the secondary effect (in this case regen spells + 10%) Make sure to get LL% of 9% from vamp runes. BM is weak. You might find LS on a single target is weak, so don't neglect whatever fire or ice spells you use. Be careful on bosses or champions, let Wilbur take some damage and use yellow potions. I never used COA when I played, or fire spells - used a Ring of ice build. It was good to bunch up enemies, slow then down. With stoneskin and flameskin I'd maybe make a combo, have some yellow potions ready. This build is pretty gear dependant - having set items from Mammons treasures and black staffs is a big help. Mammons gives Trading bonuses too. Never was able to find Shiny Kite Shield, or Laraimmes book. Adding some extra info and links - http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred:Blackstaff's_Icy_Invocation http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred:Mammons_Treasures http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/SacredUnderworldHome.htm Nightwolfes site is really informative. Also if you haven't played the BM at all its pretty tough as he doesn't have constitution, goblins on the lawn are hella annoying if your regen times are high and the archers in the desert are tough. Life leech from socketing vamp runes helps. And I'd start in Bronze till about Level 12, then move to silver.
  5. Thanks for the heads up gogo. I might give it a try. My PC and O/S is kinda archaic though.
  6. No problem. I can't remember how much XP the rabbits gave - I think it was pretty low tbh.
  7. You mean in sacred 2? Cos' there was a quest to kill 10 rabbits in thylisium (?)
  8. http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/Eggs-EvilBunnies.html
  9. Easter Eggs (rare item, though probably no one would want to wear this one!) I remember using bunny ears as part of a buff suit - pretty sure the bonuses are random, finding +combat arts is pretty sweet. "How about quests that by definition will hand out enormous amounts of XP/loot, or higher possibilities of snagging set/rare/unique/legendary items? Just so one doesn't do all the reaping (always) in the Orc Cave. Mini-bosses are probably a good place to go, but which ones are usually the best in terms of real benefit for a progressing character?" For Fallen angel I would go to Grimwald - good mobs, alot of XP, dragon to fight, 2 part quest to hunt down robbers (can't recall atm, but they have a panther with them iirc)
  10. http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Archangel's_Wrath Damage is fire & physical - red hot mod is only improved fire damage. Played Soldats Celestial/rev tech build - Salvo is the better choice by far. Your build seems similar. I didn't find Baneful smite that useful tbh, and I just went for damage over reducing enemy resistances (stacking Pillars alone on bosses should get a weakening effect) Whilst flaring nova is more for mobs, the benefit of modding it for 2 pulses = 2 stun chances I think your damage is low because you haven't taken Rev tech lore yet. Makes a big damage difference. http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Revered_Technology_Lore Also, what weapon are you using? Deathblow %? As a last resort you could just use LL% shurikens on bosses.
  11. Flaring nova doesn't do alot of damage along with AW unless they are modded for double hits. Baneful smites damage is pretty poor too. Have you modded them or have you modded the defensive spells/buff first? At level 58 and with bargaining you should shop for some +Combat arts, or find some Tinworas. Also deathblow works in console doesn't it?
  12. OK - so Spock is hosting all the content with the exception of the forum? My bad. I can access everything I just freaked a little at the dead link. Not a big issue as I never really went there. Also with the new Darkmatters layout and changes are liking posts no longer an option?
  13. http://nightwolfe.proboards25.com/index.cgi The forum link above gives me "the page you are looking for can't be found"
  14. With bosses and dragons - yes they do respawn but you have to clear out a region (as in thousands). http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/BossesMenu-Region.html I wouldn't bother importing, maybe make a saved character before a boss, if you don't like what they drop do it again. Personally if I did do that I'd limit it to before the twin frost dragons, tristam town (hope I'm not spoiling anything), and the Sakkara demon. For farming I HIGHLY recommend this area as you get the shaddars to respawn (use the portal nearby) and they drop good stuff. http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/PopularHG-RimValley.html For some of the other things you mention. The game has some tough areas when you begin - goblins are pretty hard when you have poor regen and the archers in the desert are nasty too for a beginner. Clearing out Bellavue and doing all the quests helps. Save some yellow potions too. This might help http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/Eggs-EnlightenedIron.html I normally go to level 20 in Bronze, maybe kill D'Cay in the deset then start Silver. Gladiator can be boring if you don't like his style - using stomp and dagger stare are pretty fun though. For the battle mage I would recommend flame spiral - maybe make a combo of it. You can exchange 4 runes to get the one you want. Also socket vamp runes for the life leech, 9% is good. Use ghost meadow. Daemon flying builds - poison or fire - are awesome. Therions Death from above build is a pretty fast leveller too. For a dark elf I'd recommend the poison mist build. Makes some bosses really easy (boring even?) but he levels fast, uses split well and shines in Underworld (aka Poison works well on Sakkara demons.) Wood elf is fun - multi arrow is great. I can't compare it to D2 as I've only played D3 on PS 3. Using thorn bush, call of the ancestors or tendrils gives her some variety. The wood elf isn't as strong as other character but with some very specic gear she is up there http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/Item-SetAll-EttolRahcNotwensBreeze.html ********* For gogoblender - Wolfes Lairs forum is down/gone.
  15. What combat arts are you using? I know vehemance takes a while to develop - alot of initial regen. With some characters it takes more time depending on the combat art/s used in the build - e.g Battle mage Lightning strike, Daemon using choir, poison tendrils/thorns Wood elf build are all weak pre level 50 compared to picking stronger /more conventional builds. With a trader you should be going for +Combat arts/+whatever combat art you predominately use to minimise regen penalty (1/2 the regen penalty you'd otherwise get from eating a rune, or was it a third?) tbh trading at lower levels is much better in Sacred 2 IMO and you find set items much easier too. There are pro's and con's with each Sacred. Generally I'd stick to 1 or 2 runes unless its something you have to pump up - eg dwarven steel. Maybe revisit it after level 60 or 70. Bear in mind this is just my opinion as I use combos alot - so alot of yellow potions, and haven't gone overboard with survival bonus (I.e not fighting monsters 20 levels above me) Besides concentration, + % regen special move) shop for physical regen - you can find high bonuses on gear and it reduces combat art regen time. Combat art level is probablly the biggest factor in damage but if you aren't happy with combat art damage look at things besides CA level - Weapon Lore, Strength, + % physical /elemental damage rings, base weapon damage and using elemental damage weaknesses (e.g Poison damage on orcs, fire on ghosts) There is also forging damage from blacksmith. Also playing a dwarf you should use dwarven steel as much as possible. EDIT - Trading - 4 characters have to be level 30/50 to pick it. I didn't shop alot pre GOLD difficulty, and when I was shopping I commiitted. So wouldn't bother much in Silver, under level 30. Its subjective based on how much time do you wanna be shopping? Battle mage might be an exception - trading @ level 12 - get 4 socket 1H staffs. Very nice. OK - thinking a little more about it I would add trading is pretty useful to get extra resistances for regions - e.g I try to get more poison resistance (amulets) when going to the dark elf and troll regions
  16. There's a recommendation from Blind Guardian in the video.
  17. I'm a big Lacuna coil fan too. Last album was alot heavier Best XMas song ever? -
  18. BAND MAID. Hard rock. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJToUvYrmkmTCR-bluEaQfA
  19. Because you want to socket the best things possible in your armour and weapons available at the time. Trading will get you jewelry and things to socket that hours playing won't. You can improve your characters damage with 20 minutes of shopping that 2 hours won't. You still need to play and level up but its a balance. Also keep in mind this guide is an end game guide with the very best possible uniques - Lorgars amulets are very rare. I've never gotten a Jagged amulet of darkness or a glimmering amulet of luck (I've got about 6 characters above level 100). It is unlikely you can get everything he mentioned in terms of uniques - or even half (maybe by level 200?) But some of the the things you get through trading are incredible. Defence bonuses on amulets (a flat rate boosted by agiilty and heroic courage), +combat arts/+attack/+hard hit on rings with % damage boosts. Under sockets the guide mentions some of the things to socket before you get things like Lorgars amulets. So having weapons for each region, I'll give an example - poison axe for orcs - you want rings with % poison and something like +attack/+combat arts or regen special move to socket into the weapon. Without trading you are lucky to get +12% poison damage rings at a trader in platinum or Niobium difficulty. With trading I could spend 20 - 30 minutes and have a couple of rings with 24% poison damage, hard hit or attack bonuses, critical damage chance % or regen special move. It adds versatility to a build too - if I need poison resistance and better defence in a region I can shop for it. Maximising what you put into your sockets is key to the stronger builds. Having good uniques is part of it, shopping helps. Its the same in Sacred 2, find good uniques, go shopping for rings and amulets and socketing except you have a shared chest.
  20. You could. Some guides mention putting just 1 and getting everything from items. They may have access to shared chests through multi player - and therefore have items with +skills/+trading ready. I play single player only and with Sacred 2 I would max out bargaining (the equiv. of trading). You had to have the skill at least 2x - 3x your character level to see real benefits. There's nothing wrong with either approach, but putting just one point means you have to shop alot more. And you can compensate for maxing out trading and not putting point into other skills - e.g you can find items with + agility easily and amulets with defence points. At Platinum difficulty its not hard to get an extra 40+ points bonus to weapon lore from gear. If you look at the gladiators set items you'll see plenty of weapon lore bonuses. (In case you didn't know) You know how to get the dual merchants side by side? http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/Misc-Bravemart.html There is also an extra merchant at Porto vallum.
  21. Yes to all. If you are happy with your regen time you can use the blacksmith and socket an attack rune http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred:Runes That way you get less of a regen penalty and can remove the rune iater if you aren't happy. Also alot of builds mention Life leech. At lower levels you can use specific vampire runes http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred:Vampiress_Runes The gladiator is pretty durable health wise but having 6% is good. EDIT - this is a pretty good guide for armour and resistances needed for each region http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/4300-tharkanes-weapons-armor-figuring-it-out/
  22. Sorry for the confusion - Attack is good at lower levels because it hits multiple times and will move to the next opponent. It is hard at early levels to get hard hit regen time under a second, so attack is the best one. At higher levels Hard hit is used more because you get more gear with regen special move %. Plus hard hit x4 as a combo is great for bosses and dragons. Honestly the gladiator can use pretty much any combination of his combat arts. I would mostly use attack for the first 40 levels, see how it goes. Use hard hit on bosses/champions and have yellow potions ready Also most people starting run into the problem of eating too many runes and making their regen times too high. Stick with 1 or 2 runes read max. You get less regen penalty if combat arts come from items.
  23. For the first 40 levels I would recommend most - if not all - to go into weapon lore, armour, constitution and concentration. Put a couple into dual weild. Try to get some LL%. If you are doing low damage try get some +Hard hit or +combat arts, or socket blacksmith arts (damage). Maybe have combo runes for champions. Make sure you have the right resistance for the region - e.g fire in the desert. Archers can do alot of damage. Hope it helps.
  24. These are from the X bow gladiator build but it translates well (switching dual weilding for ranged) Weapon lore - much as you can put, some guides have it maxed, and others have leave it at 100 and get the rest from gear - weapon lore is pretty common tbh. Concentration - Only when you need to lower your regen times like in the beginning. Around 20-40 max anyways. I would go for more but if you have good % regen special move bonuses then leave as you see fit. For dual weilding I'd say 5 points, 10? max - as attack value you get from combat arts, strength, agility and heroic courage. Heroic courage is very important for the build. Constitution - Around half of your level or more if got spare points to use. Agility - 1/2 or 1/3 of your level. You can find gear with agility fairly easy in later levels. Armor - 1/3 of your level, maybe more. Parry - 1/3 or 1/4 of your level Trading - Maxed. I wouldn't put much points in trading below level 40 as personally it has less benefit and it's time consuming. save your time shopping when its a higher time vs bonuses pay off. http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/GameBasics.html http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/GameBasics-Attributes.html This gives you a good summary of everything.
