Hey ya'll, After many months away, I'm feeling the itch again. Thinking about reinstalling Sacred 2, booting out any old toons I had lying around, and trying again. I've got a shiny new, fast computer so I'm itching to see what the game looks like with improved graphics. Can't say exactly when I'll be online, likely evenings Eastern Standard Time, but I play on the EU servers. Hopefully I can still remember how to build a toon properly. Do you all still play hardcore only? Hope to catch up with some of you online. My philosophy is that (aside from the CM patch) playing single player is really no different than playing online by yourself, so I'll be making all my toons online, and hopefully run into some people!

I'm still around, but I play on the Normal side simply because there are more people there. Mostly Germans, but it's something. I play as if it was hardcore though - if my toon dies, I delete and make a new one. This seems be an acceptable compromise to me.

Hey there Gogo, got some questions for you. I've recently resurrected my own Ice Elf, and find that she's almost identical to the one you've build up here, except I swapped Combat Discipline for Shield Lore. I'm a wimp. Question 1: At level 92, the main problem I'm having so far is defense. Even with lots of Anneal runes socketed, my defense is a paltry 1500 or so. I have tons of physical armor from Crystal Skin, and am getting by with relics for other elemental damage. But I'm getting hit a LOT, and feeling rather squishy. I'm on the way to mastering Constitution as you suggested, but any other suggestions in the meantime? Question 2: Do you keep all your attacking spell Combat Arts at level 1? Flare, Nimbus, and Thorns? I found the damage on Flare was getting a little low so I pumped a few runes into it, and regen is still ok - about 1.4s with a level 55 or so Flare (that's mostly +CA from gear and socketed Niob Flare runes, not all read) and that's working well. Just curious what your CA levels are now at character level 122+, and how many of those are read runes.

Good call. Newer BIOS should also have some temperature monitoring if the motherboard supports it, so this would be a good way to check on the CPU/chipset temps without actually booting the OS. If they climb and aren't stable, there's a heat issue. I too have run into this sort of thing before, so I concur with your assessment. I guess we need more info from the OP to know for sure, but it def. sounds like either a heat issue or a power issue. Oh, just thought of one other thing. lujate - if you have access to a UPS, those will often "clean" your power for you by normalizing dips and spikes. It's also possible that your power feed is just unreliable.

Keep in mind that Ranged Weapons is a second-tier choice for Shadow Warriors. You'll probably be looking at Tactics Lore also, whether you want it or not, but since you're considering Dual Wield also I'm guessing you realize that. I too would go for Ranged Weapons, though Dual does give you more sockets. For my Astral Lord build I don't plan on doing any real attacking myself save Spectral Hand, so the addition of Tactics is a regrettable (but not tragic) decision. I chose to pump it a bit for useful mods on Rousing Command and Augmenting Guidon, which are useful to have up during boss fights for the extra hit chance. Worth it to be able to rake Ranged and have even better chance to hit, and therefore chance to +RPH and get more Skeletal Fortifications out.

I can confirm that this definitely works for the SW's skeletal fortifications. I've been playing my Astral Ninja almost exclusively for a while now, and he uses SF with maxed EP. Drops are definitely better than normal.

I love running the Girvym cave, or as I call it, "the cave of many monster types." Usually good for a level or so with my hyper +experience SW

Was wondering if you had second thoughts about choosing to pump Stamina. IIRC, Intelligence would boost SF damage. Do you find yourself wishing you had more damage from SF, or are you happy with the lower regen times from Stamina? Does this hit a wall somewhere where it doesn't really matter? I've been playing my version of this build, level 33 so far and pumping Stamina. Seems to work quite well to keep regen times reasonable so far.

I have an Inquisitor at level 97 that has Astute Supremacy Focus, but not Lore. With Clustering Maelstrom at level 30 or so, I still do plenty of damage without Ancient Magic. What's left is always a mostly-dead champion, which I mop up with some melee for a little RPH and move on to the next mob. Frenetic Fervor modded for Faith takes care of casting time issues.

A couple of hours later, they did send me the codes, no verification needed. They came as a single-slot and dual-slot code though, not a three-slot code. No biggie, all the codes worked, and I have 6 additional slots now. So I guess I'll leave the above as an FYI in case anyone else sees that upon ordering.
