  1. Ugh came here hoping I was missing something. What a dumb oversight on Ascarons part.
  2. I installed the patch but when I went to play Avast blocked the updater. I'm assuming this is a false positive?
  3. Oh crap. I am SO freaking sorry for not responding >.< I ended up talking with one of the moderators over on the Steam forums & pretty sure my feedback is part of the reason (albeit a teeny, tiny part) Sacred 2 gold ended up back in the store. I now have the steam version! Woot! Thanks again for the help, I really do appreciate it. Again, so sorry it took me so long to post ;/
  4. Welcome back! I've been lurking here for a number of years. This place has saved me SO many headaches. Just wanted to chime in and thank everyone who runs the site for all the hard work and thank the community for supporting this place over the years.
  5. Hey all. I just wanted to thank everyone in this thread and on this site. Because of all of you, I not only have a third person mmo-style adjustable view, I managed to change the font using the 'Torchlight Font.ttf' file from my Steam version of Torchlight. While it doesn't exactly fit the art style, it looks perfectly readable at 1440x900. I can now actually enjoy playing Sacred 2 after all these years! Unfortunately, I can't seem to upgrade my UK copy of Ice & Blood to 1.65.2. I lost my old copy of the game, and a friend of mine gave me her copy-only it's the UK and not the US copy. For some reason, it's not the 1.64.0 to 1.64.1 patch isn't recognizing the game. I swear I'm not using a cracked copy! I'd buy a copy of Sacred 2 gold, only I'm having trouble finding where to purchase it. Can any of you maybe point me in the right direction, as far as patching issues? I really can't afford to get another retail or digital copy :/

If you liked Sacred 2, then...

Hey Rhs! As far as games that are like Sacred 2, you might find both Diablo III and Torchlight II to your liking, as they're in the same vein (isometric action/rpg) and both offer great story, gameplay and lots of loot. If you don't mind looking into some older games, the Diablo series (1 & 2) is the obvious place to start. The original Sacred, of course. Titan Quest, Dungeon Siege 1 & 2, as well as the Silverfall series are all decent action/rpg's. Some are a little more dated than others but they're all really good. Also, if you can find them and you have the 20GB, 60GB, and the older 80GB models PS3's (the backwards compatible ones) you might try looking for the Baldurs gate and Everquest action/rpg's that came out for the ps2. They were really great. Baldurs Gate and Baldurs Gate II were put out by Black Isle studios, Champions of Norrath and Champions:Return to Arms were developed by Snowblind Studios. Well worth tracking down if you can find them.
  7. Really sorry I missed out on playing this game with folks. I was never able to get my copy online. I really hope Deep Silver makes a Sacred 3. With all the publicity Diablo III, Torchlight II, Grim Dawn and Path of Exile are bringing to the genre, it would seem silly for a publisher NOT to take advantage of that. Maybe some day I'll get to play my temple guardian with some of you.
  8. I'm curious, is there still a way to play Sacred online, besides LAN? I thought Ascaron had closed the servers, and I haven't really found a definitive answer online (so far) would love to be able to play some multiplayer.

Hello everyone, Well, the titles not entirely true..I've been playing Sacred, and Sacred 2, for a long while now, but only now found this forum, so I thought I'd say hello! I live in Rhode Island, and since I'm on disability, I have a lot of time to play games lol hoping to get to know some folks, and maybe learn a little more about the game. Cheers! -Zid-
