  1. Hello, there, all. I've been browsing these forums for a bit, as I've been playing Sacred and Sacred 2 for the past few months. I decided to go ahead and sign up so I can post because I decided to drop a mention here of the playthrough of Sacred 2 that I am currently doing on YouTube.

Normally, I'm averse to advertising my videos. In fact, I don't think I ever have. But my Sacred and Sacred 2 Let's Plays aren't getting a whole lot of views, possibly because the audience just isn't finding them. Or maybe I'm bad at videos. :)

Anyway, here's what I chose to play through as:

    High Elf

    -Light Path

    -Mystic Stormite

    Here's a link, if that's allowed: https://www.youtube.com/user/MikeBra99/videos

    Welcome to DarkMatters...!

It's more likely that no one is finding these videos as not many are looking. Let's be honest. The game is getting on in years. While it's still a great game and is still finding a new audience, the numbers are dwindling as the game is coming up on it's 10 year anniversary.

  2.

The problem with this question - it leaves out the other continent of Ancaria (From Sacred 1 and Underworld)...

In that regard, I vote for Bellvue - and the surrounding area - for the fact that's where you start - and where you meet the characters you're playing for the first time.

Ascaron spent quite a bit of effort on character building right off the top. It's the hook that drew me into the game far more than in Sacred 2.

Honestly though...did you really like the garish, disney colors of that region?

That was a real turn off for me when I started the game...

In fact, I think someone even released a mod to subdue the colors a l'il bit

    :)

    gogo

Honestly. Never noticed any "garish" colors in and around Bellvue. Now, in some areas of Underworld - yeh.. there were some parts that had "colors not found in nature" that kinda had me think BLEAH..

I've noticed that different monitors show colors differently. What shows up as a dark purple on say, my laptop, shows up as a bright magenta on my 20" Dell monitor.

  4. I like their idea of sausage dogs.

It's like a hellhound, but instead of a doberman its a dachshund, and instead of fire its mustard gas.

    Sorta like this:)

Sorry bout that. Having some technical difficulties.

Here's a direct link to the picture...

OK Now that's even weirder. I delete the links and the 2 pics show up on their own as attachments. Oh Schot.... Gogo... WTH is going on here?

  5. I dunno.. Nothing wrong exactly with the concept of "sausage dogs" - as long as they're talking about dachshunds. There are quite a few people who are big fans of the breed... And Goblins aren't exactly a new thought either as there were goblins in both Sacred 1 and 2. The naked lords with flowers, on the other hand sounds a bit off.

  6. How about just using those fireworks in a tube for Archangel's wrath? They are cheap and easy to get, and make blue glowing projectiles that ignite at launch (unlike flairs in a flair gun).

As for power generators, you’re best bet at this point in time are electric ells and electric rays in a portable spherical aquariums + green energy inverter. You only need one of those fishes for this. Easy to build. Runs on clean water and sausages. A bit dangerous, not yet tested, and please don't hit the fish if try this at home.

Hmm a bit of an X rated MST3K track on that one LOL

  7. Rumor has it he had 5-6 seasons worth of scripts already lined up...

As far as Ren is concerned... He never really had much to say so I'm thinking almost anyone could voice him for the few grunts he needs to make.

Gogo: NEVER too late to catch up. They've been archived on the internet somewhere. and they're available on Netflix as well

Bottom Line - I think it's a damn fine tribute to Monty that Rooster Teeth is going forward and bringing his vision to life. :)

UPDATE: It's been announced that Ren will be voiced this year by Monty Oum's brother. (see the video posted @ about 24 mins in..)

  8. Mouse Bacon -YUMMY

In germany we have Mäusespeck. It translates as mouse bacon. Farmers used roasted bacon as a bait for mousetraps. Roasting removed the human smell from the trap. The name was re-used for marshmallows.

Nobody here knows marshmallows, but Mäusespeck is very useful as a bait for kits ;) Now some company even produce Mäusespeclk which looks like mice.

Hmm These look suspiciously like an Easter favorite here in the US.. Peeps!

Like their marshmallow rodent cousins, they too, can be made into cookies and pies and what not.

  9. Forget even his age. When I read how it even happened, I couldn't help but think this could have been avoided entirely. I feel for the family the most. Monty was not some great big celebrity, just a dude who had a talent for art and shared it to the world. I think that's what floored me and why even now it hasn't fully sunk in.

I dunno. Weird stuff happens and sometimes medical professionals are quite clueless about how to fix things. Given it was a "medical procedure" of some sort that Monty was undergoing, I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess it was something related to anesthesia that was the cause. Some people are allergic to the gas or a component of that gas they use. Not much you can do about that. Don't know if there's a test they can give ahead of time either.

Monty wasn't a big name celebutard - as you said, he was a talented guy who shared his projects with the world.

I've seen this thread pop up every now and then, but I had no idea what RWBY was. Yesterday, it was the featured program when I logged on to Netflix, and it all make sense now.

    RIP

Welcome to our humble abode. :)
