  1. To add to what Silver Fox posted... I think most of the class quests were adequately done - the only class that I think got the sticky end of the proverbial lollipop was the Dragon Mage. His class quest is over when he visits Merkill... Kind of a letdown. Maybe the devs would have expounded on that a bit and made it more interesting - but they kinda went out of business before anything could be done. In addition to that.. If you look at how class quests are structured, one quests chains into the next. Quest A tells you to go kill so and so, get such and such. Quest B then tells you to go visit NPC B. NPC B tells you to do so on and so forth then go visit NPC C. And so on till the end of the chain. In order to add new quests, you would have to break one of the existing quests and have it point to another NPC or another target. Then have the new quest point to the previous quest - to get it back on track. More work than just setting up an NPC somewhere and have him give all classes a task to do.
  2. Wouldn't it be easier to just make the set a SW quest reward? The Christmas island has a Christmas set, so it is doable in theory. Also, for all the new Comunity Patch quests developed for the game, there are no new class specific quests. Why is that? Yeh.. It could be doable - as you say - in theory. But in order for that to happen, there would need to be 6 other equally epic looking sets that would need to be created, not to mention an epic long series of quests that would give the class related gear as a reward. Then again, IIRC, the Christmas sets all looked great as a seasonal thing, but without exception, the gear all sucked rotten eggs when it came to stats and such. Maybe something you could wear to take a pic you could share... But not something you'd go out of your way to wear going into battle.. Well.. not unless you had a death wish or something. As for class specific quests... Not entirely sure there really needed to be more added to those. The quest chains were pretty much complete I think, not much more that could be added to them. Not to mention, there's a finite amount of game space. While it may seem like you can endlessly add new content, there are limits to what and how much can be added.
  3. I dunno. The battle scenes were pretty good. In addition to all that, the music positively ROCKED! I need that mini gun. Really.. I need that mini gun. Meanwhile, yes, the whole attack thing was contrived to get Ironwood and his minions to guard the city. It's a common military tactic. Attack at point A to divert attention from point B. And yeh.. Jaune finally got himself a kill. I think Pyrrah was quite relieved to see that happen. Did you notice how Jaune sorta had a tingling from the "Force"? He diverted his team from their mission to support team RWBY... Thinking the boy's finally growing a pair.
  4. Looks like we got a new minion in the latest episode.. Interesting hair color brown and pink. Not something found in nature. LOL. Finally see Oobleck pull his weight in the fight. Er.. Interesting weapon he's got there.. Throws fireballs... Tho not quite sure what the point of having the dog get hit by one of Oobleck's blasts turning him into a projectile was... At least the pooch didn't get hurt. Think the dog is made of rubber... Meanwhile Weiss goes up against an escapee of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Whee! Fun! And a new mystery woman arrives... Who is she..? Whose side is she on...? LOTS going on in this week's episode!
  5. Yeah right, lol...you don't have to be held captive looking at his gilded, golden bee-hind as he saunters over to kill stuff with his two-hander which for some reason seems to really give his hips some really strange moves! gogo I dunno.. Those golden undies remind me of an overfull diaper..
  6. Hmm. Don't recall seeing anything in the game regarding the Dwarves coming out AFTER the events of Sacred 2... However, I do recall in Underworld, there's some lore having to do with the Dwarves being sucked into the Underworld by Anducar. There is no actual reference to WHEN that happened. As to the last dwarf, our hero from Sacred 1 Underworld, I think there may be other explanations as to why he, alone survived. If you recall the opening story, he crash lands in some sort of flying machine that looks sort of like a helicopter of some sort and is somewhat clueless as to where he is. As such, I have a theory of what happened and how... Time Travel! The dwarf came from a point in time before Sacred 2... Back when Dwarves still existed... And somehow, through some miracle, he got transported through time and space, only to wind up at the start of Sacred 1. TGs: For what it's worth, our hero TG does a bang up job of wiping out most of the TGs in Ancaria on his class quest. The rest are mopped up when you get to the last part of the wastelands and the great machine complex. Given the hero TG is, for all intents and purposes the last survivor, and his physical state, it's likely he's fallen apart or at least, broken down.
  7. Oh my.. A Chihuahua!?!?! I gotta get this game! <SMACK!> OK.. slapped myself.. MUCH better..! Dwarves.. You're not likely going to find too many. This is supposed to be a sequel to Sacred 1 and as such, the Dwarves had become extinct - except for the one in the Underworld Expansion. In fact, they were long extinct in the era of Sacred 2 which is a prequel to Sacred 1. Temple Guardians - given they didn't exist in Sacred 1, it can be presumed they too were extinct Don't forget, the TG in Sacred 2 wasn't looking too swift at the start of the game. Coughing, wheezing, falling over. etc..
  8. There's a light bulb made originally by Westinghouse that's been burning for - get this - over 100 years now. It even has it's own website... It seems that bulb thus far has outlasted no less than 3 web cams and one UPS.... Things that make you go "hmmm" I mean they could make a light bulb that lasts 100+ years, meanwhile they sell us craptastic bulbs that drop dead after a few thousand hours. Of course a light bulb that lasts 100+ years wouldn't make Westinghouse, (or anyone else) much in the way of money...
  9. Well, as I was the one who found and reported said quote... IIRC, the point in the game was at the mist of miasma where it first popped up for me. I do not recall that soundbyte pop up anywhere else in the game - and we all know there are TONS of undead roaming Ancaria proper. There's plenty of them roaming the central part of the elf territory..
  10. Yeh.. I see what you mean. It was pretty weak - mostly filler. The girls did a great job of clarifying their answers - and Oobleck seems to be pleased by their responses. So yeah.. that issue is resolved. The whole underground city bit... Meh.. Seems a bit contrived. However, Oobleck's explanation could have been done with a bit less haste.. Could have added an extra 30 seconds to the run time and had him do it at less than warp factor 19...
  11. I believe he's referencing the number of things he's killed... Tho I could be wrong about that.
  12. The dog kinda reminded me more of the pup from Full Metal Alchemist (take your pick - the pooch is in both). Tho I do see your point - the dog does look like it could be some sort of Welsh Corgi... Thinking Blake is likely part feline - hence her distaste for things canine.. Onto today's all new episode. Seems Ruby and company are a bit perturbed by their guide... Not exactly what they maybe had in mind... But as always, Monty slips in some good humor based on the word Tussle. "Like the mushroom? Those are Truffles Sprouts? No Those are Brussels." LOL Great battle scenes..! Love how the professor let's the team take the monsters down while sitting in the background. Wonder why he didn't ask Ruby the question he asked everyone else..
  13. Hmmm Episode 8 is up... And Ruby didn't catch hell for blasting around in the computer room... In fact, she got high praise for her actions. Gotta love their mail system though - Gives the term "If it fits, it ships" a whole new meaning. LOL. Seems Weiss has a thing for dogs - but Blake, eh.. not so much.
  14. LOL I dunno. It WAS different.. The bits with Riker Junior and his cronies was ok.. The last bit tho.. meh.. Wasn't that impressed. TBH, tho, if Monty had THAT much free time on his hands to animate those, you'd think he could have done more series based content..
  15. Monty's been a busy boy this past week. Just posted on facebook - Monty's done up a series of alt disco routines. Instead of Jaune and company, he's got Cinder, Torchwick and the other two in one sequence followed by a few others - I'll let you all be surprised. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=656923741089168 LOL
  16. That and it's Cinder's way of disguising herself.. She IS, after all, undercover.Would NOT be good for her to use her full on powers as Ruby would have recognized her (remember, Ruby and Cinder already fought back in the 1st episode from Season 1.. It's what got her to Beacon early. It also helped get Ruby set up for some trouble as she disappeared into the dark, leaving Ruby having to Splain herself..
  17. Episode 7 is up and available for everyone! It's called "Dance Dance Infiltration" - another spoof of that arcade game, Dance Dance Revolution... Interesting developments. Amazingly Jaune does the right thing... Tho... Gotta worry about the boy.. Seems he's got some rather odd tastes in clothing... Speaking of oddities.. Interesting how the music changes... It's supposed to be a formal dance - ballroom style - but at one point, the music shifts to 70s style disco but later on it's back to ballroom. Makes no sense. Except for the hilarity of what's going on during the disco scene.. Later on in the episode... Seems Monty's got himself a fondness for Voltron.. Ruby's got herself a weapon's delivery system that would make Lotor proud... And she's got an app for that!
  18. Poor Pyrrah... Feel sorry for the girl especially after overhearing Jaune pouring his heart out about Weiss. But I can see the method in the madness.. The sooner she shoots him down, the sooner maybe he might get over her and she can pick him up on he rebound.. And yes, quite scary actually when Nora is the one making sense.. Never quite thought of Yang as being irrational. Definitely someone who likes to fight... But crazy? Nah. BTW.... No RWBY this NEXT week. Hopefully, there'll be one of those inside look episodes
  19. Probably not. And very carefully siad, hopefully not. Not if it'd be done in at all the same fashion. And yet Two Worlds, an utterly craptacular game was followed by a sequel which was so much of an improvement over the first that for anyone who'd played both the only and most polite response was, "Are you sure you're the SAME company? Are you sure?" Amen! No Sacred 4! LOL, But that IS the way it should be. The 2nd game should be better than the first. 1.) First game is a weak attempt by programmers to write something. 2.) Should they make any money, the company can afford a better class of programmer either by hiring them or sending the already existing staff to school to learn how to program better.
  20. Actually... The 100 dungeon achievement is VERY easy to do. ALL you need to do is enter/exit ONE cave 100 times. You don't have to find 100 caves to spelunk. Just one. OK.. It's sorta cheating but it does work. Also going into a multi-level dungeon, then going into the 2nd level and then going back up and out yields the best results. You get 1 point toward that achievement each time you cross a threshold to the next level up or down. So, if you go into say, the Orc cave where you need to find out who has the right hand of the old warrior - and you find he has both hands, that quest alone gives you 6 points toward that goal. The problem most everyone has with getting this achievement - if you save and exit your game, it wipes out ALL of your progress. You MUST do all 100 entries in ONE session.. As far as the Master Cartographer achievement.. That one requires walking a very, very fine line. It's possible I've done it in Bronze. It means NOT deviating from the main quest line. No blue quests.. No side quests. Just the main quest chain. Also helps to be familiar with the map and know where things are. That way, you're not going off on tangents.
  21. Yes... I'm looking for some illustrations of Shelob and Failitia for the log: For Shelob like http://danielgovar.com/tolkien/shelob-2/ For Failitia (http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Failitia,_Dreamweaver_of_the_Gods) should be like the seraphim from Sacred 1, like http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred:Dream_Netting_of_the_Gods -> http://www.sacred-legends.de/images/wallpaper/Seraphim_1024x768.jpg, wthout halberd, with sword See http://www.frankrentmeister.info/mantisbt/view.php?id=1105 as well. The file format (TGA) is a little tricky. Put "shelob.tga" and "Dreamweaver.tga" into the folder pak\data\icons\pixmap to see them in the log at their quests. CU Marcus Marcus - if you need, I can convert most any type of file into a TGA file. Let me know if you need that..
  22. Today, I stopped by a small Mexican eatery I went to once before and really liked their food. They had a new special! They call it Nacho Fries. But looking at the picture it looked more like a poutine. 1.) Fries. check 2.) Cheese... Check 3.) Meaty sauce.. Check If it walks like a poutine, smells like poutine... It's Poutine. Here's how they do it: 1. layer some triangular chips on the bottom of a 9x9 foam container. 2. pile on some refried beans. 3. pile on your choice of meats. I went with green chile verde pork. 4. pile on the fries. 5. smother with warm nacho cheese sauce. 6. top with sour cream and guacamole 7. add the coup de grace - chopped onions, chopped cilantro (coriander leaf) and chopped tomato. Enjoy...!
  23. That makes no sense what so ever. If they did a survey - WHO exactly did they bother asking? It certainly wasn't anyone in the community already established. You'd think DarkMatters is well known enough to Deep Silver as a place to advertise such a survey posted on their board (which, btw, I have yet to see posted there). In addition, you'd think they'd send an email to all the people who are registered on their forums. Heck, if they can send an email birthday card, they could spam their list once asking for input on what we want to see in Sacred 3. Secondly, let's look at Sacred 3.. Instead of a lush, open world that you can roam endlessly, we got a linear brawler type game. Somehow, I just don't see anyone in this day and age asking for something like this. Not the fans of Sacred, nor gamers in general... I just don't see anyone saying "Gee.. I'm burned out on all these large, oversized worlds.. Gimme something old skool simpler." There might be a few people out there who crave that kind of thing, but overall I don't think there are that many. That said, I somehow doubt seriously that Deep Silver's execs are stupid. Well... Let me clarify that. They're NOT entirely braindead to think that a linear game would be something we, the fans would want. Not after Sacred 1 and 2 gave us the whole open world experience. So the idea of a survey is out. Why would they do a survey and NOT ask the fans - the one group of people almost guaranteed to buy the game - what they wanted to see? If anything, Deep Silver has been going out of their way to guarantee Sacred 3 becomes a flop. The bean counters green-lighted a craptastic game that no one wants. They continued down this disastrous path even with an overwhelming TON of negative feedback when they gave people a tiny glimpse into what the game was going to be. They knew it would be a flop and did NOTHING about it. As such, Sacred 4 is likely to never see the light of day. There's no justification in a sequel to the sequel because the current game isn't going to sell very well.
  24. yeh.. except he's talking bout Sacred 1...
  25. I'd say the Diablo 3 release on consoles was a convenient coincidence... Then again, after watching WAAAAAAY too many cop shows, there's no such thing as a coincidence.. I'm fairly certain that Blizzard made the release date for D3 on Console known early enough - and DS no doubt announced their release to be about the same time - so they could pull this sort of stunt.
