  1. I'm back. I sent a PM with what I have to @ratsred. Very respectfully, fleet
  2. Check the second post in the linked topic, while it deals with mounts, the idea is the same. Note the caveat about movements. http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/13819-is-there-a-mod-to-change-mount-appearance/ I no longer have Sacred 2 installed, so I can't give you much additional help. Very respectfully, fleet
  3. Sorry. I can't help as I haven't used that method, and I don't have the game loaded. Perhaps another member here can assist you.
  4. Look at some of the mods that modify the itemtype.txt file. That method should work for you. I can't help you with that method as I didn't use it. The caveat on modifying the itemtype.txt file is, whenever the game is patched, the patch overwrites that file. very respectfully, fleet
  5. You'll need to look at all of the armor for the HE, not just the base skin. very respectfully, fleet
  6. It's in there somewhere, I don't have the game loaded, so I can't tell you which one it is.
  7. If they both use the same model replacing the textures would be the way to go. The medium quality textures are in the grpahics02.zip compressed file. Open it with winzip, winrar, or 7zip. The path to the riding creatures textures is as follows: mq\maps\npc\ridingcreatures\
  8. edit you're save game using hex editor n find hex related to hair color That works with most colors, but if I change the hair color to FFFFFF on the seraphim it ends up being blond becuase the texture is that color, so I need to find the texture for the hair I want to change and make it white. If you are using medium quality graphics settings, the hair texture are inside graphics02.zip. Use winzip or 7zip to open the file. Path to the hair texture files is as follows: mq\mapa\heroes\seraphim Look for the files with names starting with sera_hair1 and sera_hair2 If you are using the low quality graphics settings, look inside the graphics 04.zip file. Path and file names are as above. I don't have the elite (high quality) files, so I can't provide any information about them. Maybe someone else can help you. I wish you luck; others have tried to make white hair without success. very respectfully, fleet
  9. WHen I clicked on my bookmark for darkmatters.org I got taken to a Booyah web hosting site. I had to add 'forums' to my bookmrk to get onto the site.
  10. Medium quality texture files (skin color) are in the graphics02.zip file. When you open the archive files (use winzip, winrar, or 7 zip) look in the mq\maps\heroes\seraphim folder. The skin files are easy to identify. You'll need a graphics editor program (GIMP is a free download) with the Nvidia dds plug in (also a free downlaod) to edit the files.
  11. Sorry, I think I misunderstood your original question. I assumed you wanted to substitute a different type of mount for a hell hound. Is what you want to make one hell hound look like another? If that is the case, you can do it by extracting the appropriate dds (texture) files from graphics02.zip and following a procedure similar to what I told you to do with the models (gr2 files). I have not used the 'modify itemtype.txt file' technique and so cannot offer any advice on it. Very respectfully, fleet
  12. The granny viewer doesn't show the colors (textures). To see how your swapped models will look in the game you'll have to play the game. Try the renaming technique in my previous post with the m_spider.gr2 file, and see if it works. Best regards, fleet
  13. Regarding changing the hellhound appearance. You can swap model files (have the hell hound look like another mount). It will still have the hell hound characteristics. There might be some problems with the characters movements in game. Model files for the mound are in the graphics05.zip file. You'll need power archiver, winzip, winrar, or 7-zip to extract them. Once extracted, the mounts are in the following path models\npc\ridingcreatures. The hellhound is in the folder named hoellenhund. They are models are gr2 files. You'll need grannyviewer (it's a free download) to see what the models look like. The hellhound model is named v_hellhoundreit-v1.GR2 Once you've determined what you want the hell hound to look like, create the following file structure in the pak folder of your game models\npc\ridingcreatures\hoellenhund Copy v_hellhoundreit-v1.GR2 file and the gr2 file that you wish the hellhound to resemble into that folder. Rename v_hellhoundreit-v1.GR2 to original-v_hellhoundreit-v1.GR2, then change the name of the other file to v_hellhoundreit-v1.GR2. There might also be a way to do this by modifying the itemtype.txt file. The problem with that technique is that each time the developer/publisher issues a patch they overwrite the itemtype.txt file. If your experimentation does not work, simply delete the models folder and its contents. Good luck and have fun. Best regards, fleet
  14. If anyone wants the link to the site that hosts my undressed mods, they'll have to send me a PM, as per agreement with the site admin/moderators, I will not post the link in open forum. I'm not working on any new mods. Oh, I do publish the names of members who do not give me feedback on whether or not they like the undressed skins. Best regards, and very respectfully, fleet Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
  15. Hello. The texture files (those that contain the colors) are in a file called graphics02.zip Make a back up copy of this file before making any changes. You can extract the files using powerarchiver, winzip, winrar or other file compression/decompression program. Note the folder structure. Where the files are located within the file structure is critical. The texture files themselves are in dds format, and can be modified using photoshop, paintshop pro, GIMP (it's free) , or some other graphics editor program. You will need to install the Nvidia dds plug (it's free) in to enable those programs to read and write to dds format. If you don't want to mess with the Nvidia plug in, you can use DDS Converter 2 (it's free) to convert dds files to jpg, edit them using GIMP or one of the other graphics editors, and then convert back to dds. After you make the changes to the dds files, you can use the file compression program to put the modified dds files back into graphics02.zip There is another way to bring the modified files into the game, but I won't go into that because I don't remember, and don't currently have Sacred 2 loaded. Check out this thread. http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=9357 There is at least one other topic here on making changes to characters. Best regards, fleet
  16. I checked my setting and I was using standard editor. In order to send the requester the links to the undressed skins, I have to use html. This is the first time this error has happened. I only have permission from the moderators here to send links for the undressed skins via PM. This is the error message in Mozilla. "Not Acceptable An appropriate representation of the requested resource /forums/index.php could not be found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
  17. Hello. I received a pm from new member Voltaic requesting my undressed skins for Sacred 2. I prepared to reply to him, but when I hit send I got a page not found error message in Iinternet Explorer 8. I logged out of IE 8 and logged in using Fiorefox, but it would not let me reply via PM either. Help! regards, fleet
  18. Hello, welcome. I don't read all the posts here, but I have yet to encounter rudeness (I like friendly sites like this one).
  19. This is starting to get silly. This happened on 8 June, so I changed my password. Now it's happened again. What the heck is going on? respectfully, fleet
  20. I had a power supply go out after 6 months use. The system builder replaced the power supply for free. He said power supply failure happens sometimes, but could not offer a reason.
  21. It's always a good idea to include installation instructions with the actual modification in a compressed file.
