  1. I didn't mean to HoF him . . . really! As if it were not obvious from what is below, this was very definitely not the plan. I probed around looking for metal deposits and came across this planet (and a few others in the neighborhood) with ~800K metal and some defenses. Just what Ike ordered. So I sent ships out to retrieve said resources to about 5-6 planets and was busy playing Mythos while I waited. Every half hour or so I'd check for activity on my targets and the Main planets. Nothing. I last checked on this one about 5-10 minutes before I hit. No activity. I check messages after the hit and there is this big yellow battle report. At first I could not figure out where this was and if someone attacked me or I attacked someone. :) I eventually figured it out and checked the CR and figured out what happened. His fleet must have returned a few minutes before I attacked or right after my initial probe. :(

So I probe, see more res and the remnants of his fleet and launch 3 waves to carry off the booty and recs (3:40:00 away). At least I grabbed the DF. :) The really amusing thing is he did not get a 20% moon on the first hit, but he got a 5XXX moon on the 4% follow-up. :)

    Recyclers:

Your 300 Recyclers have a total capacity of 6,000,000.

At the target, 2,142,300 metal and 886,500 crystal are floating in space.

You have harvested 2,142,300 metal and 886,500 crystal.

Total profits ~ 1.2 MM. Weird.

  2. Watch where the bear is in relation to the white-team's ball. At first the ball is on the left as the bear comes into sight. Then, as the bear crosses the middle and makes a basketball-wavy gesture, the ball goes up and over and then the white ball is on the right as the bear finishes on teh left and then leaves. Tricksie tricksie hobbitses.

But yeah, I saw the 13 passes but not the bear. :D:o cyclists.

  3. So far things look pretty slick. The graphics are a little sharper and they added a ton of stuff. There are now craft recipies and crafting components, both of which can be found or bought. There are luck potions, new levels of health/mana/antidote potions, group potions, etc. Combat has also been cleaned up a bit and the effects seem a little clearer to me. I popped by the new Zone and there was not a lot there, although there are new quests, etc there. There is also a Player-vs-Player gate in each zone that allows you to go up against others.

You need to download the new client off the website (it took me ~2.5 hours due to server stres last night). Remove the old client and add the new one. The new client is ~440 M.

  4. Hmmmm, e-tazer, hmmmm, gotta talk to the FBI and see if I can get my hands on one of those. :(

As for other Cyber-undesireables, I've got a plea this morning in an identity theft case and I have a couple of child porn cases that are wrapping up---one who pled last month and another that will probably plead in the next couple of weeks. Most of the rest are still in the investigation stages, so probably best not to discuss those yet. :)

  5. Well, I'm not a Cyber "Cop" per se, as cops are law enforcement (investigate crime, arrest people), while I am a prosecutor (file charges, prosecute cases in court). So if I were to see people trading child pornography via oGame, I would not investigate but would instead notify the FBI, Postal Inspection Service, or Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They would investigate and once they had sufficient evidence that a crime was being committed, they would notify me. I would open a case and help them to get subpoenas, search warrants, pen registers/trap-and-trace devices (phone taps), etc. Once we had sufficient evidence to bring a case against someone, we would seek to get an indictment from a grand jury, or a criminal complaint from a magistrate judge. These would be accompanied by either an arrest warrant or a summons to appear in court.

  6. Sensei got a bit active and rebuilt some defenses after my last crushing of him. In addition, he moved his fleet to avoid my RIPs and later my BCs, so after noticing that he was again getting a bit inactive I felt it necessary to HoF his fleet and grab some res. Is that wrong? :D

  7. A little hit for GoGo. I know he would have done it himself if not for me using his account. :P I saw this guy near the Main yesterday morning, ~36 hours ago. Unfortunately, the RIPs were out on an extended jaunt and did not return until 12 hours ago. So I spent the time building Missile Silo 1-4 and Shipyard 10, and some IPMs. As soon as the building were done and res was on the way, I started the IPM rain and when the RIPs returned, I sent them on their merry way with a Dessie escort. Without the dessies, some RIPs get R.I.Pped. :( With the plasmas and some gauss gone, the profits were quite nice. I got a little better-than-average result. Recs 2 seconds behind, should have been one, but I'm not going to complain as long as I got the DF. ;) In all, 100 IPMs. He already had a moon, so no biggie there. Perhaps I'll collect the rest of that res when the RIPs return. :)
