  1. Kung Fu Panda - Jack Black shows that he is better heard and not seen in this amusing and enjoyable summer cartoon.
  2. I did not get it. Not even the spambots want to talk to me. - Ike
  3. Mine have tear-away wool, so they aren't so easy to apprehend. - Ike
  4. Well, I am happy for you. I can't say I miss oGame. It was fun (for the most part), but there is not enough going on nowadays to make me think about coming back. I hope you enjoy the added free time and pop by FDM now and again. - Ike
  5. Hmmm, gosh, not sure if I even recall such an event, were it to have actually happened . . . and it was less than 3 seconds BTW. I don't think I realized it was Gintukas that sent the LF though. Huh. Perhaps if I had realized that I would not have allegedly nipped the DF. - Ike
  6. Happy BIrthday! And yeah, what GoGo said, unless you are crashing some massive fleet, then it is OK.
  7. Hey Ari, sad to see you sucked back in . . . like I was . . . twice. But now I am free again, for good this time. GoGo, Master of the Nuts, Cyclops, and Llama also shook off their oGame shackles lately. Mika del Siro offered me a Top-100 account yesterday, so perhaps he would give it to you if you were interested and asked nicely, or batted you eye-lashes. - Ike
  8. Hmmmm, I gather that Mika and Kiki left PAWNZ . . . I think perhaps because of Borg, in fact. This should be interesting. - Ike
  9. I spoke to Nish earlier today and he was a bit disgusted by it all. I think PAWNZ was at 14 members and all of a sudden they decided to let everyone's friends in. So Nish let Kavish in, Ban Dana let Borg in, Anestty let his cousin in, DiO let all of NN in, etc, and now they are up over 20. Nish said he was busy with finals and not paying too much attention to it all, and then BOOM! Ooopsie. As to Borg, he was only interested in D.a.r.k. and PAWNZ, and told me he would not join D.a.r.k. after the vote as he did not want to fracture us if people were against his admission. I guess when he got the chance to join PAWNZ he jumped at it. No surprise there. I'll have to drop him a note to see how things are going. - Ike
  10. Wellllll . . . I read through a bunch of reviews and was not too optimistic, but went and saw it last night anyway. There is a ton of action, but the plot is a bit thin, to say the least. I can't say the story made too much sense. I would have to rate it as slightly worse than Temple of Doom.
  11. Don't be surprised if it shows up in Lower G3 or near one of Spanky's other remaining Gated moons. - Ike
  12. The Forbidden Kingdom - Disney-esque kung fu movie.
  13. You need one level in Colonization for each new province you colonize. You get special defensive bonuses for provinces that are bordered on all four sides by other colonies, so normally people try to form a cross with a mountainous or forested/mountain province in the center. Colonize early (day two for instance) and often. Probably 5-6 provinces is a good goal. Check the different province types to see the bonuses for various resources and troop types. - Ike
  14. Posted on the OoF. Apparently it is Yakusa again. Whatever. Yeah, profit around 65MM, minus 2 MM or so for fleet and recs. - Ike
  15. And so it ends. Not at all as planned, and therefore, it was as expected. I sent 55 RIPs to my colony next to Spanky's moon last week and he phalanxed them. He was very active over the weekend, so I was not able to try again until yesterday. He was offline most of the day, so I sent RIPs on an 11-hour journey and meanwhile sent the rest of my fleet to the planet quickly and then deployed back to my moon and then recalled. In all, four fleets were to arrive within 2 seconds and two more fleets a minute and change later with the recyclers and some cargos. He came online with a few hours to go and did not launch. D'oh! So I watched and waited. Saw activity on all of his planets and then silence, 15 minutes before the reset, no activity anywhere. I got a window of a little over an hour on his fleet, presumably leaving from G3 moon to its own DF. However, the DF disappeared at an odd time that did not match up right. I launched 18 rips in six waves on a moon destruction mission with the thought that if his fleet returned I could recall them to all return at the same time and meanwhile deploy the fleet back to my moon and then recall again. However, I took a nap for an hour and 10 minutes and in that time, his fleet apparently returned, he came online, and crashed me. Just kinda figures the way things have gone in the past. I put out a call to D.a.r.k. and PAWNZ about recs and Slithle was the only one close enough and fast enough. If Spanky had turned his recs around quickly, he would have gotten the whole DF. Too bad for him. Planets, moons, and fleets deleted. Except for the 18 RIPs Spanky did not bother to phalanx. Those are on 10-day moon destruction missions to Spanky's G1 and G5 moons. It has been a lot of fun hanging with you all. As I have made clear of late, this is what I wanted, although not exactly in this manner. It is time to leave oGame. Thanks especially to GoGo for the account. Sorry it did not turn out exactly as planned, but it was a lot of fun while it lasted. _____________________________________ Attacker Kovalsky _____________________________________ Light Fighter 204,354 (Lost = 54,111) Cruiser 40,134 (Lost = 3262) Battleship 21,048 (Lost = 1025) Battlecruiser 4529 (Lost = 249) _____________________________________ _____________________________________ Defender Ike _____________________________________ Small Cargo 879 Large Cargo 1335 Light Fighter 8368 Heavy Fighter 5501 Cruiser 10,976 Battleship 1106 Recycler 7022 Espionage Probe 14 Bomber 110 Destroyer 3456 Deathstar 37 Battle Cruiser 1850 _____________________________________ The attacker has won the battle! 16. I am, for the moment, active. But I hope to retire pretty soon. . . within the next few days to a week, depending on how things go. So leave me on Active atm. - Ike

  18. I ran Speedsim starting with Yaga's fleet (above), which gets mostly destroyed, followed by Beowulf's fleet (also mostly destroyed), and my fleet, which remains largely intact (all RIPs survive, most heavies survive). I assumed that Beowulf has 15/15/15 techs and that Spanky would have ~10% more of each ship type than Speedsim Average. Spanky would be left with about 6 ships (out of 370K), including 2-3 RIPs. Total recs needed: 160,000. I did not have time to run SIMs with part of my fleet and resends (RIPs take 5 hours to return, desses would only take 30-40 minutes). I also did not figure total losses, etc. I have that at home, which I can post later. I am confident that I could get 100K recs from PAWNZ if I asked. Not sure if they have more or not. I have 7K, Yaga 12K, so we need another 40K or so. Probably doable, as they could be sent in advance and timed. Not a lot of people in the area to take advantage of the DF anyway. Deuterium would need to be gathered for rec support and Yaga's fleet. I have ~7 MM atm, which should be more than I need for recs and fleet. Beowulf has not been playing much for the last few months. First year of Uni coming to a close, boredom with oGame, etc. I've only spoken with him sporadically. I asked him if he'd be interested in suiciding his fleet into Spanky as a goodbye hit with me--and perhaps others--in order to take that fleet down and he said he would consider it. So nothing firm, but I told him I'd check back in if I could organize something. - Ike
  19. Yeah, it seemed like about 9-10 moonshots worth -- I think just shy of 10 when I was trying to figure it out. Although there were some other ships missing as well. I absolutely understand and I do not blame you in any way. I just thought it would be cool to have 3-5 D.a.r.k. Top 10 hits on the Board -- even profitless ones. My plan would have been to see if we could kill him by ourselves, or in the alternative see if Beowulf would be interested in hitting Spanky after you and before myself and anyone else who is interested -- as his own Goodbye hit. To my knowledge, Beowulf has never probed anyone in D.a.r.k./Dark.W., much less attacked any of us. I just don't have current fleet sizes on most D.a.rk. people (or indications of interest) so it is hard to know what is possible. Going after Spanky's moons for the last month has been very draining. I have been up until midnight or later pretty much every night for the last two weeks -- and I get up around 5-6 a.m. So I am very tired and short of something big to plan, I just want to do my hit. That way I can post while the moons are still gone, upgrade my main Nanite, and rebuild ~50 RIPs to maybe go after more moons with the DF. - Ike p.s. He moved his fleet, I think to 1:458, so now I need to convince him to move it back for me in order to hit it.
  20. Nope, no real response from him. I did get a probe yesterday after he saw the RIPs heading toward 1:234. So I launched more at 3:88, but he split his fleet, so I had to recall both sets. What kinda pathetic #(*^$ allows someone to just blow up their moons:) - Ike
  21. Well, Spanky split his fleet so I could not hit either moon, and now 16K LF are missing. Not sure what he is up to, but I am fearful that he is becoming active again. For instance, he is online now, about an hour and a half (or more) later than any time in the last week or two. My RIPs return to G2 in a few hours and I can get them to a colony in his SS on Friday in time to launch around midnight Friday/Saturday. As of right now, the TD is ~ 2BB, about 31 MM smaller than Nish's current #1 hit. But I suspect it will just have to do! He'll lose ~400-420 MM in fleet. RE: Yarasa, Yaga is not planing to hit Spanky anymore . . . so no real point waiting. If Spanky becomes active he'll be building fleet much faster than I can and may get some of those moons back.
  22. With Spanky's fourth moon gone I have RIPs heading toward his fifth moon @ 1:458. They should hit tomorrow morning (a little after noon server time). I'll send more RIPs to his 3:88 moon this evening to show up at the same time so he can't intercept the ones going to 1:458. When all of the RIPs return (or at least all that will return), I plan to drop a colony in 3:88, move the fleet over, and suicide it into Spanky's fleet. TD s/b a little bigger than 2 BB, enough to edge Nish out of the #1 spot. With the DF, I may rebuild some RIPs and go after his remaining moons again, or just pack it in entirely. Spanky stands to lose ~ 400-500 MM in fleet. This should probably happen in the wee hours of the morning later on this week. - Ike
  23. Well this has been a loooong time coming. After taking out his G8 moon and one of his G1 moons, I setup a colony and got a moon in G2. I sent 42 waves of RIPs in all, even side-tracking to take out his G7 moon in the meantime. Finally, the 41st wave did its work. Overall, I had better than a 99% chance to blow up this rather RIP-resistant moon. Finally, it is done. I sent six waves this time, alternating between two RIPs and one RIP. The RIPs had a 7% (1) or 9.9% (2) chance. Overall for the six waves there was a 41% chance to blow up the moon. After horrible luck on the first six times six attempts, this last batch of six lost no RIPs and destroyed the moon.
