  1. yeah its from cabal online...I tried to use there armor set but there's no armor files on cabal folders..maybe its on server side..

  3. just want to share my made sword and mini skirt for my checks seraphim! texturing are not finish yet..
  4. hmmm..thinks you like it,.. before I was only importing the .ms which is mesh only or static object..there is no bones and texture inside.. so that the reason why the old methon dont have the effect of socket gem.. until I dicided to work with the smd files...ive notice the when I export the edited smd as a gr2, the only visible is the effect of the poison or ice.. I did more than 50 time figuring out why this is happend,,, now here's my method and what I did to put back the weapon and effect... in this method we are using the f_katana model as an example.. 1.import the smd file,then rename the "smdimport" name to the original name of the mesh which is f_katana.. 2.import the new model mesh.obj to the scene.. then click the original editable mesh ,rigth click then attach to the new model mesh. 3.after you attach the new model to the original mesh.click on the editable mesh >element and select the original mesh (weapon) rigth click then detach and then delete it..now only the new model is remain... 4..then click on the editable mesh and go to display tab, and select "hide selected" so that the only visible on the scene is only the bones.... 5.next find the bone with the name of the mesh ..ex. " f_katana " the name is thesame name of the editable mesh ,click on it and then delete..so now the bone that remain is fx_wpn_glow and weapon_r_hand/weapon_l_hand,, 6.then export it as a gr2.. on the mesh setting unselect all except the mesh name f_katana on the model setting include all..you will notice that if you double click the "model button"you will see the bone name ex.fx_wpn_glow or something , and inside it contains all the bone name and no "f_katana" its becuase we delete it... then export.. after that check on the exported gr2 files on grannyviewer ..make sure on the mesh tab only the f_katana or the model in it.. and on the model tab make sure all the bones are include.(just ignore if the model name is not the f_katana...it will load on the game with no error. now im still figuring it out,,maybe we can link the mesh on the bones so that the model name on the grannyviewer is the f_katana.. hope it help alot..
  5. yes..!I made it...I succesfully put back the socketing effect of the weapon,,and I made a frostmourne sword with the bigger size..texturing is not finish yet...

  7. weewewewe...using my old method ..using the .ms is ok... but there is no effect visible like the poison / ice or fire....is it possible if I load the mesh using the .ms and then import the smd file.then delete the mesh on imported smd and replace with the mesh from the imported .ms? sothat the effect well remain....
  8. it didnt works....maybe I did something wrong...ill try to figure it out next time...I have to take a rest......is there any method?
  9. can you guys tell why my test weapon dont show up...only there effect is visible....I try figuring it out more than 50times but no lock it is always invisible...
  10. here's the SC in the skin parameter edit envelops there are no bone or anything listed now I can import smd directly using my new download 3dsmax7.. pesmontis can you please give me a command for the grnreader. for example my grnreadr98 is in C:\grnreader and the gr2 file name is v_zenturio-body.gr2 is this correct ? C:\grnreader\grnreader98 v_zenturio-body.gr2 -a? bocoz I always get this error for now my method on extracking the smd from gr2 is dragging the gr2 file into the grnreader

I really dont understan! when I try to import smd (the enforcer boots) using "Johnny's Workshop - SMD importer for 3DSmax9" the mesh is so ugly and the bones are too small ,its like a very very little square..and only one bones.the original enforcer boots have 86 bones in grannyviewer but my exported gr2 only have 1 bone..I test it ingame the boots are not moving,,hahaha...very funny,,..I have no smd impoter that works...can any give me a link for 3dsmax7/8 not 2008..ill try to download it now.......
  12. guys is it ok if I import the smd files to milkshape and export it again as (halflife)smd then import to 3dsmax ? becoz I cant import smd file directly to 3dsmax..I get error "couldnt flag node 0 as weighted".. it work if from milkshape to 3dsmax..
  13. http://gr2decode.altervista.org/files/smdimp_max6.v013a.rar wont works here...failed to inialize. the only thing that smd works importing to 3dsmax is to import the smd fille first to milkshape and export it again as a smd then import to 3dsmax...that how it work...

I think the answer for your question about the position and the rotation is this.. this is my SC Few question: its posible to make the sword transfarent..how do I make it..I try in material editor to make it transfarnt but when I xport it theres nothing happend,, how do I make transfarent in dds texture.? [Edit] Therefor I need to ask you: did you apply a texture to your model in 3DSmax? Yes! succesfully all I did is make a unwrap on 3dsmax and save it as a dds.. then I followed your instruction about the dds type.I open the dds files on photoshop and save it again as _d _n _sg( _sg with alpha chanel) for some glow effect.. the glowing part of the sword is the effect of the _sg.dss with alpha chanel the original size of this sword is the size of the dagger,I made bigger to be cool..
  17. thanks for your fast reply.. to Pesmontis: you mean I should make the dds with the _d and _n ? do I have to put my dds too on hq folder..I really dont understand,where should I make the texture? on phoshop or in the 3dsmax,,I try on 3dsmax I use uvw unwrap and is the output of my unwrap my problem is how do I apply the texture ingame? can you please teach me how on how to apply it?
  18. first of all im new at modeling so I dont know the bone stuff...when I import it on 3dsmax 2008 only the editable mesh is visible..dont know where to find the bones,,if there a bone! here's the way I import and export it ( l_schwert2h-e1.GR2 located on graphics11.zip) 1.I extract the gr2 files using grnreader98 (1.4)and the .ms and smd is generated.. 2.import the gr2 (.ms) using the run script command on 3dsmax,,then the weapon is loaded as it is,, 3.I rigth click the sword and convert it as editable mesh,ive notice that when I convert is as editable poly it will distroy the form and look so ugly,,, " note: when I add a box on the weapon and convert the box to a editable mesh and attach the sword,,the only visible on other viewport ( top ,front, left ) is only the box, no weapon...but on the perspective view the weapon is visible " 4.I add some box to the weapon as a test if its working on the ingame,I didnt apply any texture yet.. 5.then export it..I choice the granny runetime GR2 I click save,,theres a pop up window gr2 export setting , all I did is click the export button,,I didnt change anything.... my second export of the weapon is correct..I really dont know what I did.hahaha just a few Question. 1.is the weapon have bones? 2.I know how to apply texture but how do I save or export it as a dds or tga something,, sorry for my very bab bad english...!
  19. please help..I made a test weapon without texture..and export it as a gr2, but there a problems with the sword I dont have any error when loading sacred 2 but these is the result : can any1 give a procedure on how to edit..im new to modeling..

  21. how do I export the edited gr2 files back to gr2...ive manage to import the gr2 files using gr2reader to 3dsmax but the problems is how do I export it as a gr2?

  24. wow!I have grnreader here I download it,,they say just drag and drop the gr2 files in grnreader but there nothing happens,,now I currently downloading 3dsmax 2008 to see if my downloaded plugins work.. recently I use 3dsmax 2009 and 2010 but it dint work..I just want to edit some weapons,,, I didnt get it?did you convert gr2 to smd? please can you post me a procedure on how to?coz im new on modelling..
