  1. Watched that video on the first page and immediately knew I wouldn't be buying it. I outgrew that type of game play on the NES. The graphics? Why is everything being turned into anime these days? It's terrible. As someone else said, this is an insult to the Sacred franchise. Just... no.
  2. I haven't really thought much about Sacred 2 over the past year or so, then I started playing Path of Exile. NOW I MISS SACRED 2! I see that the Gold Edition is available at many places now (sadly I missed the Humblebundle sale, I could have afforded that), but I take it online is forever dead?
  3. I feel you man. I picked up PoE on release and the entire time I've been playing I've been dying to play Sacred 2. I see the Gold Edition is on Steam now, but I can't afford it ATM.
  4. He put a pic! Shame on you! Good thing I just finished eating my leftover Subway.
  5. Act 4 is actually very easy to get the <1 hour achievement. I "accidentally" did it with my HC monk in normal without even trying. I was playing with a mage for the first half of the act, then picked up a barb for the second half. We didn't skip anything, killed every mob, did some of the random dungeons, got to the end and killed big D. Then we all got the popup for the achiev finished. Wasn't expecting it at all.
  6. I got the same way with GW. 5 years of playing (maybe 6 now) it and after NF no real new content gets old fast. Plus around here the game likes to have fits of extreme latency due to ISP problems. After the latest bout with it I finally just gave up on the game. HOM not even remotely finished but I'm ok with it. I'd rather move on and play something else that works properly for me instead of head bash on one game for months at a time.
  7. Yep. Spend a bit of time with it and you start to realize that it was created to be a cash cow first, player satisfaction second. Or third. Most likely fiftieth. I'm probably not going to go back to it for that reason.
  8. Blizz specifically stated around launch time that they didn't want people farming bosses over and over like in D2. They want you to run around, explore, and kill rare packs for loot. You'll be "rewarded for exploring" was the statement I think.
  9. I think I'm gonna start playing it again soon. Can't atm because that game makes my pc heat up quite a bit and I don't have working AC right now
  10. 105 right now. 90+ in the house because our air doesn't work. Handyman is here right now trying to get it fixed (hasn't worked at all this year).
  11. Sadly for the dps classes focusing on surviving (talking about gear) won't help you. You have to focus completely on not being hit. It'll come to a point where anything that hits you will one or two shot you, no matter how much hp/armor/resists you stack. While playing the later parts of Hell and Inferno you have to be almost perfect in avoiding damage or you lose everything. But you nailed it with one part there. The game ends up becoming a frustration more than anything unless you farm farm farm farm and severely outgear the content.
  12. Be very careful with the AH guys. Blizz is perm-banning people for being too profitable with it (people who aren't botting).
  13. Anyone out there still playing? I stopped about a year ago I guess. I've been playing Diablo 3 since it's launch and honestly it's left me feeling very disappointed and wanting to play better games of the genera. It's either pick up Sacred 2 back up or TQ:IT until GW2 comes out. Anyone feeling the same?
  14. It comes to a point that you'll have to remake your game if you come up against certain affix combinations. You can't skip them in HC like you can in SC. But now you know where the difficulty in the game is. Random rare/unique mobs are 100x more deadly than any boss fight you'll ever have. Depending on your class there are groups that you simply just can't fight.
  15. I actually never rubberband after using a skill (I use Dashing Strike/Tempest Rush religiously). I'm constantly getting it just from moving/walking/running around. I'm working on my SC 60 monk for now. At least until I get frustrated trying to gear her, then I think I'll pick up my Wiz again.
  16. That rubberbanding is a common problem that isn't related to lag at all. Blizz said they fixed it, but after the "fix" I've been getting it, where I didn't before. I guess I have been dc'd before. While I was playing my HC WD I was returned to the hero screen for no reason. Just sitting around in town, shopping the vendors, then booted back to hero select. If that had happened while fighting I would have lost that one too.
  17. Heh. What's bad is that I was only in A2 NM and I'm rolling around slaughtering everything, not even taking any real damage, laughing at elite mobs, basically god mode, and then "BAM" dead to a normal skeleton. You don't get to play anymore.
  18. I guess I can join the club now. I was just playing, running around killing things, no lag, no nothing, then "Your connection to Battle.net has timed out." Log back in not even 3 seconds later and I get this: From reading the HC forums this is a pretty common thing. All the children say "it's your internet connection" and "go back to SC." Well, I have rock solid (as in I've never lost connection) internet. I will be going back to SC until their servers are stable enough to actually play HC. So if anyone has toons in late Hell/early Inferno in SC hit me up. I'm not about to continue playing HC when you will most likely die (pretty much 100% chance, eventually you WILL lose your character to dc) to something you have absolutely no control over. This was the first time the game has ever dc'd on me.
  19. What?!? Servers actually went down while I'm AT work and not off:) What's the world coming to!?
  20. I used to use Afterburner just for oc'ing back in the day before it included video recording. Back then it was a straight copy of another program that did the same thing (ATI Tool? or something else, don't remember), they just changed the logo. Personally I use FRAPS as well, have for years now. Either of these can cause severe performance issues when recording if you don't have a system that can take it. The good thing about FRAPS is that you can adjust the size and FPS of the recording. Video sizes can get big if you don't watch it. Back when I was big into Guild Wars I used to do farming/tutorial videos. Recording at 1680x1050/30fps would eat up my entire HDD extremely fast. I'd hate to see what my current 1920x1080 would do lol. Oh, and if you use Win7 you have to download Windows Movie Maker. It isn't included by default but I believe it comes with SP1. Which you should already have.
  21. Ooh I didn't know we had this thread. I've found a few in SC, but my HC finds are: Knuckes, you have any plans for those wrists? My monk is close to being able to use them.
  22. Monk healing spells were a pretty common complaint for a long time after launch. They didn't scale with your level very well at all (actually it wasn't the level that wasn't scaling, rather the skills scaling with the amount of HP actually needed at higher levels), almost to the point that they were useless (low heal+long cooldown=fail). It's an issue that was supposed to be fixed or maybe already has been worked on. The comment about globes being tied to MF is interesting to me. I've played all characters to at least level 35 with one 60 (monk) and one 58 (barb). I've always noticed that some classes, most notably the ranged ones, have FAR more globes drop than the melee classes, sometimes leaving hordes of them behind after a fight. I'm specifically comparing this to the barb who can actually spec into having more globes drop. The common trend between the classes with more globe drops is that I always run MF on them, and almost never on the melee classes (it gets to a point where they're too darn hard to keep alive without survival gear). It could be argued that with the melee classes I'm actually using them during the fight and don't notice how many are dropping, while I rarely use any with ranged classes, but if you were to see the enormous wads of globes left behind in some of these fights you'd think otherwise. If that many dropped with my melee toons I'd never have an issue with surviving anything. It's definitely something to look into. When it comes to actually picking up the globes I pretty much have that covered. I prefer the monk over the other classes, and they have more than one "utility" skill that lets them get out of being body blocked. I always have one of these on my bar, and either of them can ignore pathing and reach those seemingly impossible to reach globes. I call them my "get out of jail free" skills. Only one of them actually breaks jail though (not counting Serenity). But, I always try to keep at least some pickup radius on me simply because it's annoying as hell to have to run directly over or click on every piece of gold that drops.
  23. Ouch, I feel for you guys. Luckily I haven't had a HC death yet. But, I feel I need to say something: Wait 'til you get to the hard stuff!
