  1. Cheers local, So spell intensity rings would give way to ice damage rings in this instance? For overall damage output? I will have to pop out of town and do some of my own tests as you suggest I imagine. Cheers, D&E
  2. Hi all, a few nooby questions if I may,J Just wondering if anyone can give me advice on what rings to wear. I've tried to balance it with one cold damage, one magic damage, and one spell damage, but is this the best option for a Mystic Stormite/Delphic Arcania build? Also, would anyone have any tips for socketing with regards to the above? I guess when I wear cold damage runes I don't see any added damage on the summary page. It just seems to show the weapon damage? Doe the cold damage get added to the CA damage or something? Thanks, D&E
  3. Hi all, Well I've decided to roll a DW SW who uses the Nether Allegiance summons, as well as a combination of the Astral and DW tree's. I've done much scouting for guides, and have yet to find what I'm looking for with regard to skills, which attributes to use and play techniques. I read claudius's ranged Astral guide, and that was good, but I'd prefer to be amongst it with my skellies, not on the outer with Shuriken. I'm thinking (although no idea which order would be the most efficient). I'm also prefering Swords as weapons, but without a specific Lore, can chop and change as I find things I guess? So, in no particular order; BTW, this is for XBOX, so Blacksmithing and Spell resistance are off the table, leaving possibly... 1. Tactics Lore 2. Dual Wield 3. Concentration 4. Armor Lore 5. Constitution 6. Toughness 7. DW Focus 8. Astral Lord Lore 9. Astral Lord Focus 10. Combat Discipline or EP? Any advice or even links to guides which sound like they may fit would be a great help thanks all! D
  4. Could you please clarify what you mean by this?
  5. Hi all, Well I decided not to bin my first ever Sacred toon, and after playing around with a few alts, have gone back to try and get her back on track. She's 34 now and about to get her 35 skill. Now, I made a few errors with her (being my first character and having no idea what I was doing), but I'd like to fix her so she's at least playable, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Skills I chose were; 1. Ranged weapons 2. Concentration 3. Tactics Lore 4. Cap. Hunter Focus 5. Enhanced Perception 6. Speed Lore 7. Combat Reflexes For the last three I'm "thinking", and this is where I need advice... 8. Armour Lore 9. Toughness or perhaps Spell resistance 10. Constitution or should I take Nature Weaver focus for lower regen on GGT, which I don't use a great deal tbh... I made the mistake, as you do, of eating way too many runes at the start, and have around 10 hard runes eaten in Cap Hunter Combat Arts which mean my base CA skills have a regen of 4.3 and 9s for RI and DA respectively. I also have 10 in SP sadly. When I started her again and noticed this, I've made a conscious effort over the last few levels to try to get the regen times down with points in Concentration/Cap Hunter focus and Stamina. Its slowly getting there. As long as I can find better bows a I go I should be able to maintain decent damage until I can start putting more in ranged weapons, speed lore or tactics lore I imagine? Any good advice on the last 3 skills would be great guys, ty in advance. D
  6. Hi all, I have a question about the level difficulty. My first toon has just completed silver campaign. I guess I'm just wondering whether my other toons also need to complete the main campaign in silver before they're able to then proceed to gold difficulty?
  7. Well, I meant one of the Devout Guardian Combat Arts. Spells / Combat Arts....ugh...the terminology. Apologies for any confusion. I'll try what DB said and see how I go. D
  8. Thanks everyone for the advice. I have a few toons now, so I should be able to take Bargaining with one of them now, and start planning for my next level 75 toon to have Bargaining as well. Shame about the SW, I was enjoying playing him. Lots of stuff to consider. Thanks all. D & E
  9. That's great info guys, thank you both. I am making an Area of Effect TG, that's just the kind of toon I want with him. I am following Woody's SW Area of Effect guide so far, and will probably just grab a hammer or sword and socket it with beneficial bits as Woolfie suggests. Further, how can I revert to the default ranged gun after using a Devout Guardian spell? Which seems to then render the weapon arm, melee. (which it states in the CA description for that tree) Question is, how can I get it to revert back so that when I'm walking along the road, spot one mob, I can take shots at it until it gets to me allowing me to use DB or whatever to finish it off? Any tips?
  10. Thanks guys, Any further info on the bugged Xbox Blacksmithing issue? So you can't shop Uniques either? :'( Amazed you guys get to the levels you do so quickly actually, but I guess we're just starting. My fiance has her 35 +/- HE and has been at it for around 28 game hours o.O, and my chars are all following a similar line, time wise. *shrugs* Might have to chase up a good walk through for optimum questing, as Dobri mentioned. Thoughts? D & E
  11. Hello TG guru's. I'm creating a Area of Effect grinder/farmer/shopper (I think) TG, and am unsure as to what weapon type to use. Those sexy pistols that have been dropping, are they the go? I think I'd like to go that way if possible. Or am I better off with a long pole arm energy weapon? I'm still trying to wrap my head around how the TG attacks when not using Area of Effect. Shoots at range, but then melee's up close... Any basic advice here would be great! Thanks. D & E
  12. Hi all, Well it's been a fun week of alt making (for me anyway...my partner is more of a one or two toon player, and is shaking her head at my "X toon has achieved level 15 Achivement" uberness =) but we have been learning a lot, and still have SO much more to learn about Sacred. Some background about us. We're in Australia (which means we don't have Fire and ICe) and playing SP on Xbox predominantly for now. I have a few noob questions if I may? 1. What is the best way to develop and maintain shopping toons? From how I understand it, players must have shopping toons for various levels to allow them to find gear for a broad range of their playable character levels? Am I getting this right? It's taking me a while to level my toons on Silver, and can't imagine having all these unplayable alts at level 20/40/60/80 etc. <scratches head> I'd really like to get into my shopping for my toons. 2. Buff suits. How cool an idea is that! No question, just a statement of exploiting awe. 3. Eating runes. I've read a little, but is it safe (without getting too deep into it in this post) to assume the generally accepted best strategy is to eat one at the start, level you're respective Focus or Lore until the cooldowns (CD's) are very low, and THEN start to gradually eat more to increase the damage/output of the respective Combat Arts? 4. Oh, can shopping find you Set items? I'm sure more questions will arise, and so far everyone's been very helpful, so thanks in advance for any info. So far we're working on; 30 Dryad (Blowpipe. She was my first and I had no idea what to do, so she's a bit messed up) 19 DW seraphim (which I started based on a guide from here. For some reason I struggled with her to begin with, but seem to have the hang of her now) 19 SW who I REALLY want to improve. I went sword/shield and chose Shield Lore but now want to use a 2 handed hammer (for looks and ground pounding fun) so I need to really rethink how he's going to self correct. :'( 6 HE who isn't floating my boat for some reason. 13 Inquisitor (who I love but made a couple of early mistakes with. I've had some great advice from Dobri and others on how to fix him, so here's hoping. Was going to be a hybrid, but will probably be a gimped caster now) 4 TG (who I hope to turn into an Area of Effect grinder/shopper...see questions above) El is working on her HE mainly who is about 35 now I believe. She, like I, made a few mistakes here but is still having fun with her. She's also just started a Melee Dryad, following a guide by Olocat here, and is having a blast with her. I played a little with her, and she really is a fun class to play Melee. She just hit level 16 and is off to get her mount! Dave and El
  13. Thanks everyone, it's nice to meet you all. My fiance and I are having much fun with Sacred at present. Yes we had been frequenting Wiki initially to get the basics, which helped a lot. From there however, it was easy to see there was a lot more depth to the game than there first appears, and it's those area's which will clearly take quite some time to get our heads around. But it's all fun so far. I have a level 30 Dryad, 15 SW, 15 Inquisitor, and 15 seraphim (today) and I doubt any of them are built right lol so before I continue I'm gathering advice on how to try and correct some of the already made mistakes where possible. Anyways, thanks again for the welcomes and we look forward to chatting with you all as time goes on. Edit: Btw, am I able to add an image to my account? I can't seem to find a way to do that in my profile at this time. Lastly does anyone here design avatars for sig's?
