  1. Yes! It works perfect, there are many clips with other class’s armors but it works perfect with some High Elf pieces that I always wanted to use. Thank you for your advices! The only problem is with weapons, or at least the ones I’ve tested like the Extremely Mighty Bat of Devastation of the Shadow Warrior that still red in inventory and the Seraphim can’t use it. Is not a downloaded item, just a simple drop level 205 and my testing Seraphim is level 200 so it might work like the armor pieces. But this is not a real problem because I don’t know if I will like to use it anyway, for the rest, I’ve already modified all to fit my desires and I can’t wait to start a new fresh game properly modded when I get a quiet free moment to fully enjoy again this great adventure.
  2. Yes, I am planning to use it only with the seraphim so there not might be problems with any shield nor weapon. I’ve already read the examples you propose before, that was what encouraged me in first place. But only for testing I replaced in itemtype.txt ALL the entries "WEARGROUP-CENTURIO" with "WEARGROUP_DEFAULT" a first test; and with "WEARGROUP-SERAPHIM" a second test. Then I have in inventory various weapons for the Shadow Warrior but they still in red and when I tried to equip she says “we seraphims do not use such things”.
  3. I have been searched the forum, and testing changes like WEARGROUP in files like itemtype.txt but it is a bit more complicated. What I want to do is to make all class-weapons and class-shields usable by the rest of the classes, or at least by the seraphim (she can wear all kind of gear so she already has all the animations). I think armors will clip the models but perhaps that is also possible. Maybe already exists something for that.
  4. Yes! Thank you! It was complicated isolate few possible candidates but it works perfect and now my shield has even the right shape =]
  5. I have changed some objects with models that I like but I noticed that they don’t adjust their shapes when differ on sizes. Replacing the Stalworth Safeguard (2x3 blocks), with the model and icon of Nikotaste's Aegis (2x2 blocks), the icon adjust very well and also seems to be rotated, it is not a real problem but it would be nice to know how to solve. I have found this Mod for minimum size of items at 2x3 but I don’t want to change all the items, just adjust the ones I swapped with different sizes.
  6. Thank you, this helps a lot. This game really needs an editor; that would be by far its best addition, but at least is encoded in intuitive ways so it is greatly compensated.
  7. I want to decrease the amount of potions dropped to increase the usefulness of the restoration spell. Correct me if I wrong, I noticed that these values alter the amount of falling objects, even potions: NORMAL_STANDARD = 350, NORMAL_RUNE = 15, CHAMP_STANDARD = 700, CHAMP_RUNE = 45, BOSS_STANDARD = 1000, BOSS_RUNE = 600, And these values alters the chance to drop: ZRareExpectation15 = 2, ZRareExpectation14 = 6, ZRareExpectation13 = 14, ZRareExpectation12 = 16, ZRareExpectation11 = 24, ZRareExpectation10 = 34, ZRareExpectation09 = 46, ZRareExpectation08 = 58, ZRareExpectation07 = 72, ZRareExpectation06 = 88, ZRareExpectation05 = 106, ZRareExpectation04 = 124, ZRareExpectation03 = 144, ZRareExpectation02 = 166, ZRareExpectation01 = 456, ZRareExpectation00 = 1000, I want to reduce only the potions chance & rate, but preserving the normal drop of the rest of the items... Would it be possible to discriminate in this way?
  8. By moving the cursor to the left, and accidentally waiting a few moments, two panels will slides to the right, they are for server and chat but in single player are useless and quite annoying. Is that possible disable them by options or modding?
  9. Thanks for all the advices about Concentration and Combat Discipline, finally I was able renew my build and after some tests these are my results: Seconds of a combo (Nova + Pillar) / damage from a non-weapon combat art (Lightning) Constitution & Ancient Magic: 10s / 18.000 damage Combat Discipline & Ancient Magic: 8,7s / 23.000 damage Concentration & Ancient Magic: 7,9s / 18.000 damage Combat Discipline & Concentration: 6,3s / 19.000 damage Replacing Constitution guarantees damage will not be affected. The problem starts when I need to replace a damage booster skill. The best choice for a change is Combat Discipline, it makes good cooldown reduction and damage to combos, plus in some way it adds more damage even to al single combat arts (I don’t know if this is a bug). On the contrary, Concentration improves slightly the cooldown but it does not improve combos or combat arts. And both of them together improves the cooldown almost a half and slightly the damage. In few worlds, Combat Discipline for more damage and both Concentration + Combat Discipline for near half of the time, I have much to think about. And a report of problems on the wiki, I found a mistake that it could be easy to solve, the Technology Lore and Lost Fusion icons are exchanged as follows: http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Seraphim Revered Technology Lore (I think this is the Temple Guardian’s icon) http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Temple_Guardian Lost Fusion Lore (I know that this is the Seraphim’s icon)
  10. Ah, so yellows never will have one of these useful stats, now I understand. Thanks! Yes, I have been doing exactly the same, only that I replaced all 3 pieces (losing only 1 Niokaste bonus), because of its visibility bonus, but I learned how to edit the Balance.txt to increase the visibility range so I doesn’t need this combination anymore, only the chest for its sockets and armor, you know the Niokaste set reached it maximum bonus with 8 pieces.
  11. Rechecking my build and reading this forum, I noticed that Concentration and Combat Discipline may be wasted skills if you don’t use more than 2 combat arts in a combo or more than 1 buff, and their other benefits may be replaced for more useful skills (correct me if I am wrong). Concentration (at level 75) ● Regeneration Time -47% Combat Discipline (at level 75) ● Regeneration Time -20% ● Damage +1356 Aspect Focus (at level 75) ● Regeneration Time -64,3% ● Spell levels are raised even higher without penalty. Aspect Lore (at level 75) ● Damage +180,8% (refer to table below) ● Critical Hit chance +9% ● Execution Speed +36% Now what I want to know... 1) I am asking focusing only on the Seraphim because other classes may has different necessities. 2) I am using ALL of them 8 skills right now, so If I remove Concentration and/or Combat Discipline, I will NOT will have 75 or 150 points to spend on focus and lore, instead I will add another 2 (like Constitution and/or Shield) with 75 each one. So there will be a reduction on damage & regeneration. 3) The last (and probably the decisive for me)... is there a way to add those combo & buff slots by editing the game? (of course, this last point is only valid for offline single player game).
  12. And therein lies the dilemma! Those comparisons are without socketing any gear, but both gears have silver and gold slots! All items from Niokaste set have 2 slots per piece and I found almost all Yellows with 2 slots (some with 2 golds), and very few with only one socket. At final balance Niokaste has 18 sockets* against 14 socket from the Yellow gear... I know that those 4 slots means 4 rings of +10 all. And I must remind that that kind of yellow gear is only possible by altering Balance.txt to get ‘Bargainer’ for free, so that ‘advantage’ in normal game conditions comes with the disadvantage to waste a skill... Except if you have a “shopping character” that buy for your “real character”.** *The Niokaste description in Sacred Wiki may be wrong, it has less slots than I, maybe is because mine is at level 225... I don’t know. **I always hated that magic-find, negotiation, or similar skills that makes you play in a way that you don’t wanted, jha!
  13. Playing offline I have modified the Balance.txt in the way that merchants offer better items (so Bargainer is not necessary), also I can wear my favorite sets (which I have downloaded from this site). Having in mind that, how convenient would be to use sets regarding yellow items from shops? In high level tests I noticed that the full Niokaste set at his higher level seems worse than yellow items of lower levels. I read here that Items from shop are in fact better than sets or unique ones, so first question is: that is really true? The second is if the bonuses from the Niokaste set** may worth those huge differences (tested with no socketed items): Niokaste level 225 Shop yellow items level 200 ~ 214 Damage: 7.330 - 8.640 7.425 - 8.750 (slightly better) Attack: 5.575 6.527 (better) Defense: 1.479 4.923 (much better!) Level 212 (guardian) Player chance to hit: 60% 64% (¿?) * Enemy chance to hit: 70% 42% (¿?) * * I've never understood which one of those values is ‘my’ or ‘his’ chance to hit, please someone explain it to me... ** The full set bonuses at level 225 are: -Chance open wounds +34% -Chance to serious wounds +20% -Exalted Warrior focus +30 -Aspect Exalted Warrior +26
  14. But considers that those mindless enemies will run to you anyway! Hypnosis modification will not be much noticeable as Delude that reduces the attack of enemies and is much better for a helpless seraphim running around there. I also choose Brightness to increase the area of effect and Magnify to increase its power. But at last is a matter of which order makes you feel more comfortable, I prefer to use Flaring Nova first to ‘call’ more enemies so they will be tight for the flash of light! Combat Discipline and Concentration could be seen as wasted skills but I like to have all my alternatives ready to use (even if I do not use them, as the 3 bufs...), so is a personal choice. I figured out that as I only have 8 abilities to use instead 10...
  15. Wau! Thank you very much! Just when I was beginning to think that I reached a dead end, this forum saves me again! Your solution works perfect; I’ve also edited a lot of textures so finally I am using my favorite gear and enjoying exactly how it looks! I can’t be happier right now, this forum brings me the solution to all of my doubts about this endless game. Thanks again! =] <--- me playing my renewed super perfect seraphim.
  16. mmm I understand the problem with this particular mesh, thank you for explaining... The second one I assume that replaces the naked torso with an armored one, so I prefer the first one that I assume it will add the script to remove the default torso each time is equipped. (Correct me if I’m wrong). Is there a guide or a post to learn how to do that? Because I don’t have any clue about where even start to do that. I forget to say that I have the last game version with last Community Patch and Elite Graphics installed, maybe that’s important...
  17. Yes, that is how I managed to solve it, now every time I start Sacred that... funny logo doesn't kill me any more. And this folder also has the new gold color of the buttons, this doesn't bothers but it is good to know it.
  18. Thank you, that’s exactly what I want and it works like a charm. You forgot to tell me that there are three texture folders, so it was a headache to understand that lq, mq, hq actually means Low, Medium and High quality, I use the High quality settings so all the changes in the mq folder wasn’t reflected by the game, jha! (it sounds funny now). After that I have solved all problems except one that is killing me... I have changed pieces of the Niokaste from Niokaste (when I want to change only the texture), and other sets (when I changed models and textures). All changes match perfect except the one from the torso which is glitched in multiple areas. The changes are this ones: Meshes from: ...\pak\hq (original)\maps\heroes\seraphim\sets\std-iron\ n_sera-iron-torso.GR2 n_sera-iron-torso_cam.GR2 n_sera-iron-torso_0.cm to: ...\pak\models\heroes\seraphim\sets\angeldust\ n_sera-iron-torso_d.GR2 (renamed as c_sera-angeldust-torso.GR2) n_sera-iron-torso_cam.GR2 (renamed as c_sera-angeldust-torso_cam.GR2) n_sera-iron-torso_0.cm (renamed as c_sera-angeldust-torso_0.cm) And textures from: ...\pak\hq (original)\maps\heroes\seraphim\sets\std-iron\ i_sera-iron-torso-var3_d n_sera-iron-torso_n.dds n_sera-iron-torso_hx.dds to: ...\pak\hq\maps\heroes\seraphim\sets\std-iron\ i_sera-iron-torso-var3_d (renamed as n_sera-iron-torso_d.dds only if I want to change its color) n_sera-iron-torso_n.dds n_sera-iron-torso_hx.dds Note 1: Also I have replaced aaaaaaall files started with “c_sera-angeldust-pelvisskirt ...” with empty 0 KB text files, to get rid of the ugliest skirt I ever knew. Note 2: I know that the files “_n” are the bump maps, the “_hx” I think are some kind of effects, the “_cam” I think they are animations, and the “_0.cm” I think they are from Community Patch. But I don’t know if it was right changed their names as I do?
  19. It was a nightmare to find this Granny Viewer for me because all links are pointed to this *$#@ page. I also tried another programs but no one can view those GR2 files. Fortunately I found a download link of 4 shared that still working, I don’t know if Dark Matters allow that kind of links but knowing the site’s name everyone will be able to find it well.
  20. Thank you, I could not find it because it was compressed into a rar. mmm it is a pity that we can’t rollback the original art, the blood Forest is too bloody to me, I prefer the original ambience, but never mind if I cannot change it, what really bothered me was that... funny, CM logo each time I started the game, jha!
  21. A yes! Was the survival bonus, and my Niokaste set wasn't at 240, just only 225 with rings socketed, so I killed some enemies and when reached 30 bonus the first Niokaste level 225 has dropped, thanks!
  22. Is there a step by step guide to change the items? I don’t want to retexture like in this guide (although it is tempting, but I'll leave it for now.) I only want to change the models from some armor sets, with other “in-game” models, so, when they drops occasionally they will looks as I like. Also it will be equally good to change the attributes to other set or legendary pieces to do what I want.
  23. I want to ask about two similar things: I have already changed the... funny? (or ridiculous, jha!) Community Patch image with a custom image by editing the “\system\console.tga” image. But I still can’t replace the other Community Patch image over the top-left character selection screen. How can I change this image too? This image is located at “\system\console.tga” But where can I change this CM logo? And the second will be probably impossible but I’ll ask: Is there a way to return to the original character selection screen from Sacred 2 instead the bloody Ice & Blood screen? (Running Ice & Blood, of course). I want to change the Ice & Blood awful background with the original one (but keeping the menus and functionalities from Ice & Blood) Is that possible?
  24. I have downloaded the sets items and blank characters from this site, so I have a seraphim level 200 with the Niokaste niobium higher set. Also I changed the balance.txt to find valuables and I started to test my build! There was a rain of set and unique items but I noticed that all of them are lower level compared with the downloaded items. For example, all Niokaste set pieces I’ve found on niobium are level 210 while the ones I’ve downloaded are 240! I tested adding perception to my build in all areas of the map, but still dropping the same level. How can I get that kind of drop in a custom single player game?
  25. Thank you for all this information. But it doesn’t matter to me the progression curve because I’ll not be focused on my level, only on quests & exploration. Also I’m planning a balanced single player build just for fun, not a killing machine, so it will be challenging to play even at higher levels. I just want to know the average level reachable for a Seraphim by completing all quests of all difficulties.
