While I was able to get everything downloaded, installed and patched, I'm now at a standstill with the activation keys. I was given two keys, one for Ice & Blood and another for the Gold addition, both sent with my confirmation of purchase. When I launch the game it asks for an activation key, as well as an unlock request code. I'm not sure which to use for what, and I could use some help with specifics (real basic step by step fully fleshed out extruciatingly detailed specifics) so I can get this right. Is it just me or is this process only slightly less painful than a root canal? I've tried the links that supposedly allow for manual activations but I'm getting an invalid key. I've been entering the Ice & Blood key here and the unlock code given in the small application that launches when I try to start the game. I don't know what to do with the Gold serial key though. Just confused!! Thanks!

An Error Occured while trying to copy a file: The Source File is Corrupted (Option given to retry, abort, skip). This is right out of the gate when I try to install the Fallen Angel exe. This is the file: sacred 2 - fallen-angel\pak\musichq.zip Any thoughts? I have my anti virus disabled, just an FYI. Thanks, MC

OK, so I ponied up for the full gold version. I'm downloading via the download manager that was linked. I hope that is the right way to go before I start using Loco's steps from early in this thread. Thx!

Thanks again for all the feedback. I'm wondering if I'm really hamstringing myself if I just get this for the Fallen Angel release (plus patches, CM and otherwise) and not the Blood & Ice. Is there THAT much to the expansion that makes it a must have? Would I miss out on so much that I should plop down another $20 basically? I'm also getting an impression that the online realm for PC isn't that vibrant anymore. That's not such a huge deal for me, b/c I plan to mostly play lan co-op with my wife on two pc's. I know I can do that with just one copy, but not sure if I can with the one copy if we both play online saved characters on the servers. I guess if I get the UK version (which is sold here) I can only play on UK servers too. Are the US servers even more sparce? Thoughts? Thanks again all!

Pretty much, the servers are dead. You might see one person on over the whole range of difficulties and server types and thats if you are lucky. Wow, so this is pretty much a solo experience with the Lan Co-op being the draw for me. Too bad, I thought it would have longer legs. Oh well. Thanks!

Hi, I'm a newcomer to the site. Played Sacred 1, been looking into Sacred 2 and I've some questions (Thanks in advance for the help!) I'm in the US. Is the gold version only for UK servers (saved characters) or is there a version with the expansion that is also for the US? I can see that plenty of us from the US are buying this version and playing on these servers (or at least from what I gather) but I'm wondering, is there a reason? I'm mainly interested in purchasing this to local coop with my wife but would welcome the online saves. I just hope that there's a player base in my time zone when I play (eve's mostly) so I want to make certain I'm buying the right version. Thoughts/Opinions? Thanks so much!

Its only a $10 difference but the download/install process for the PC seems to be a bit cumbersome I wonder if I want to dive in with all that. Any thoughts on the PC version? Worth it? Issues that might disuade me? How's 2 player local? My my wife likes these games but I built her a PC that surely meets the recommended specs, but I really don't want to download this puppy twice! Thanks for the feedback and help.
