  1. I felt like taking a short break from modding this morning and making a Cooldown page for the Wiki. Basic info about the concept, and lists of CA's that have Cooldowns and the various ways to decrease them.
  2. That's a good idea, and very simple to execute. I like it a lot. I was actually thinking more grandiose plans, like replacing a CA with one like Magic Coup, and adding some attack-based bonuses to Combat Trance. Something to boost the Dragon Mage's melee/ranged powers overall. It's only a fantasy right now though.
  3. It's "Intensity" on the Wiki. I gave all the CA wiki pages a major content upgrade recently, I may have gotten the name wrong but more likely it's a difference in names between Fallen Angel and Ice & Blood (wouldn't be the first one, I'll double check today).
  4. Above each of our avatars, where there usually the user's handle/nickname, we get an auto-generated title based on post count, like Radon Master or Polonium Wizard. I don't have a problem with these titles, they're pretty neat. But they're in the spot where a user's name goes in like every other forum in the world, and new people (and sometimes old people too) are always getting confused and calling users by their titles, because the actual name is pushed way up above the post itself. Titles should go beneath portraits, not above. User names should go in that spot. So this is my humble suggestion to consider rearranging that layout some, please.
  5. I didn't realize it back then, but to me now the big benefit of the Lore is the increased casting speed. I've grown a bit wiser in Sacred 2 since my last posts in this thread. However, even so, I'd still agree you should take the Focus for a staff-user. Those alternate skills all sound good to me. Shield Lore especially is important because once higher level shields start dropping, they will penalize your attack speed without the skill. This won't be an issue if using two-handed staves of course. I'm actually hoping some of my new sets can help out a weapon-using Dragon Mage. I did some Niobium runs in Artamark and Nor Plat with the full Chaoskampf set and a magic staff/shield setup. It was...decent, all things considered. The main problem is crowd control. The DM could really use a hybrid damage combat art like the High Elf's Magic Coup, that could be modded for some splash damage.
  6. I'm definitely going to see what I can do to make some cool new offensive shields for Chattius. Whips are some of the Lost Items- turns out they were present in the files but not fully implemented. I found a post recently where Czevak said that the animations were bad and so they didn't add them with the CM Patch.
  7. I remember not being able to edit early on, but now I can, seemingly an infinite amount of times. It may be tied to post count.
  8. I don't think the build is no good I just think you're gonna have it rough defensively as a melee character without Armor Lore. A Ranged/Magic Character could hack it, if they had light armors. Also if Toughness was available to the Dryad it would be a different story.
  9. Why yes, I suppose I am! Thank you. A few months ago it was just an inkling in my head and now it's a reality. I'm also very excited to try them all out and give them "long term" testing since I'm still very actively playing Sacred 2! And I'm even more excited about where this mod is going. It's kind of headed towards being a "Community Items" mod to supplement the CM Patch with some things that weren't able to be added in the final release (and who knows, maybe it can merge with the CM Patch if they are able to do a final release). Check here if you want to see the future of the mod. And chip-in an idea or three if you have them! Aside from my work specifically, I am working on being able to bundle it with sets by Pesmontis, Dmitrius and Tom.Morrow, depending on what they are able to contribute.
  10. After a certain point, it starts to become morbid and disgusting to me, the "joke" about fathers killing/maiming/mutilating their daughters' potential mates. At first, it's like ,"aw, he really cares about her, he's going to defend her from all harms, like a good dad, so we're going to exaggerate it to comic proportions to illustrate that" Then, after the millionth joke about killing the boyfriend because he didn't act exactly correctly, it's more like "F*** this, he should just marry his own daughter."
  11. You took a skill just to unlock mods on a single sword, yet you don't want to take armor lore, which offers like 4 bonuses? I've read the guide on how Dual Wield+Sword Weapons is good because of Boneslicer, but I'm not fully buying it. The two skills overlap so significantly, that I just can't see the value. IMO Chance to disregard armor is the only truly great modifier on the Sword, and it's just a chance, that can be obtained on jewelry and other items. Ancient Bark works against you when fighting a fire monster like the Carnach. Sensitivity: Fire +20% If you don't want to take Armor Lore then you should at least have Constitution instead, or Spell Resistance. Speed Lore is normally something of a waste, except you don't have Armor Lore so you're slow, slow, slow on foot I'm sure, but Constitution would be a great help. What's your Divine Gift? If you've got Infusion it should help at the crucial moment when Goldenglad Touch wears off, though only once of course.
  12. Added a link in the first post to German-language version of the mod (translations courtesy of Pesmontis).
  13. Skills are in blueprint.txt I don't know how to edit them.
  14. Oh wow, you're right. That's painful to see though, because in this case both sets of pages are detailed, complete walkthroughs, written by two different users - so can we even say which is the duplicate and which is the "real" one? From the looks of it many of these were written c. 2011 by ZGold and then re-written by Knuckles in 2012 on new pages. Maybe some kind of merge would be appropriate, I mean they can't both stay on there, it's too confusing. But Gogo or Schot will have to decide...
  15. Yes, the complexity of Sacred is not in the story or characters (lord knows) but rather in builds, skills, items, and gear, and monster fighting.
  16. Yes and yes. Doomguard and Hellhound armor also, and apparently more armor for mounts and new sets for the High Elf and Dragon Mage that we've never seen. So, dang. Pesmontis is getitn' things done. This is quickly growing from "Flix's Mod" to a "Community Items Mod". More updates as I get the files and figure out what we'll do with them.
  17. ROFL I don't remember anything like that in Dragon Age. I played it blind, and then played through it several more times with varying degress of internet info. I had a blast.
  18. Growing up, as a teenager I got lots of speeches from older family members like "I know what it's like to be your age, you think you know everything, you don't want to listen, you wanna do this and that, well I remember being that age, I know what you're thinking..." And...surprise. Everyone was wrong. I was remarkably mild mannered and well-behaved, despite both my parents being the wild "black sheep" of their respective families. It wasn't until I was out on my own and responsible for myself that I let loose with the debauchery. I've seen things, man, THINGS. I'll never be a parent, but as a supposed "rebellious teenage wild thing" that never actually was one, my only advice is maybe spare your kids the "I remember what it was like to be your age, I know exactly what you're thinking" speeches...chances are you won't know. I'm 30 now, at an age where lots of my old pals are having children...many of them daughters. It's amusing to watch them become dads. My theory is the more wild they were as young men, the more anxious they are to butcher the boys who come sniffing around their daughters.
  19. So what is it? I dress the same pretty much everywhere I go, suit for work, jeans and t-shirt everywhere else. Pajamas the second I'm home for the day.
  20. Just wanted to leave note saying this thread is packed full of great ideas! I am going through each and every one of them and seeing what ideas hit me and what I could do. Pesmontis may be cooking up some cool stuff too. So thank you everyone who has contributed some ideas and wishes - and keep 'em coming if you got 'em! In the next week or so I'll update post #1 with a list of things that might get worked on, once I've sorted through it all.
  21. Well, welcome back then! Request for help with the patches should probably go in another thread, if only because it would be easy to miss in this one. If you want to post what questions you have about the patches in this thread, someone can probably help you out.
  22. Phew. Hope everything continues to work for you. The Mutation set has a good chance to drop from T-Mutants and as a Quest Reward, so keep those in mind if you're trying to assemble it. The other sets follow the drop same patterns as the vanilla sets: Armor is more likely to drop from bosses, champions, and armed enemies (humans, orcs, etc.) than from rats and boars, and jewlery is more likely to drop from energy beings like the ghosts in the Whisperwood or the Armored Suits in the Blood Forest.
  23. Ok, from talking with Gilberticus the missing icons problem sounds like a problem with the Steam version of the game. It seems Steam has an additional icons folder that needs to contain the icons for the armor. So, once I get that confirmed/worked out I'll see about writing some temp insttall instructions for Steam users and then later updating the DL package.
  24. Yeah, I caught that little detail a while back. The files are copied exactly from my working installation, so it seems like it should work for others if it works for me. Pesmontis would you mind installing the mod and then checking the items in the stash to see if the icons work?
  25. Don't take this the wrong way, but god I hope so. PM'd you some generic icons to try out.
