For Non-weapon Combat Arts conversion happens iff there is partial physical damage. Some spells do straight ice (FF), while other spells do partial (IS). Although the bar shows otherwise, the conversion only occurs with the physical damage. Thus, converting IS to ice only converts x% of the physical to ice. In general, these conversions aren't enough to really notice. 35% conversion of a spell that has say 40% physical damage is roughly 14% of the damage. I read somewhere that it should convert all non-specific elemental damage. For example, a weapon that does partial poison (magic, ice, fire) will have all of its elemental converted. Well, typically... Most weapons have elemental damage but aren't 'flaming sword of billybob' specific. So, similarly generic Combat Arts should do the same. I can't think of any off hand. That isn't to say there aren't any.

Finally building an online char, so I thought I'd post here. I'm on US ascaron silver server with my characters name. Just look for Kali.

Have you tried socketing the enhance blacksmith art? I have a few chars that have it socketed in all of their gear and I can keep to max buffs and my CA (depending on the runes in them) go from around .5sec to 2.2.sec. I don't get how he melees with the buff. It breaks when you attack. Only casting/running can happen without breaking it (even as a buff). I can't see the video clearly, but I swear I see him attack.

I think some caves are broken in places as well. For example, if you have a teleporting character doing the shadow version of the octo*blah blah* story quest, you can dismount, place the explosives, go back and get mounted, ride through the cave (no screen change), and then teleport across the dam to fight the octo*askjdhflak* boss mob. that one comes to mind immediately, but I know there are a couple of places where there is no need to have a screen change, and you can move through them.

just an FYI, I was told by cdv on the 10th "I can tell you that I have received the patch from the Ascaron to test it here in house. We hope to have testing completed by the end of the week and hopefully next week the patch will be ready." :fingers crossed:

As soon as you start heading east (in campaign mode), pick up Ambul ('Old friends' quest). Don't complete it. He doesn't do jack for damage, but nothing in the game can harm him; so he makes an excellent tank/distraction/free pet. Definitely nice to have if you jump in over your head somewhere.
