  1. Well, 2646 is definitely a horse. If you want to find all horses, just search itemtype.txt for "Schlachtross" and then search creatureinfo for numbers you see in mgr.typeCreate() at the end of itemtype entries. But do NOT remove all fallback equipment for horses, because it would give you a horse which is not only saddle-less but tail-less as well. In the example you listed, 5536 is indeed a saddle, but 2690 is apparently a tail, which the game formally considers the equipment. Now, if the fact that the tail is considered equipment sound strange to you, I'd have to tell that formally, in Sacred 2 the rider is also an equipment for the mount... If you want to see your character riding bareback, check the numbers in itemtype.txt before erasing them in creatureinfo - if the entry is classified as HAIR, then it's a tail, and it's better to leave it alone. You can also remove saddles from the special mounts in the same fashion (or exchange them between aspects). But do not try to exchange saddles between different mount types (e.g. between Fay Drake and Monitor Lizard) - they don't fit. To find all special mounts, search for "specialmountfor" string. The numbers in this string indicate a character just like tom.morrow listed in the opening post. However, I have to tell that removing a mount's saddle does not always give good results. The thing is that the characters' position on the mount is made with the saddle taken into account, so removing a saddle would cause the character to levitate slightly above the mount's back. Horses don't have high saddles, so removing a saddle from one won't look bad. But removing saddles from the Fay Drake or the Spider would look quite strange. Sweet! I'll keep your findings in mind. I did notice that one of the valid equipments for the horse was the player, which gets me thinking... could we technically mount Anything? What I want to find next are the 'civilian' NPC clothing sets.

I've been using something I've found from Schot's camera guide, but I've been wanting an over the shoulder view along with this massive zoom range. I added your line to optionsCustom, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I think it has something to do with the camera mode? That's because we were fooling around with the raw options.txt. For optionsCustom.txt, you need to add the class of the option: camera.TPOMax = 85 Perfect, thanks! I should have taken the camera. cue from the previous lines
  3. I decided to play around with adding random fallback stuff onto my character after finding this thread. I put a lot of random stuff on, most of which ends up becoming so distorted its unrecognizable. But here's an interesting find: type = 2646 is apparently a Horse of sorts and fallback # 5536, 2690 gives your character a saddle. So in theory, removing those numbers will give you a saddle-less horse. Also, the screenshot hotkey doesn't seem to produce screenshots for me.
