  1. A LONG time ago, there was an old SSI game I used to play called Eternal Dagger. My mention of the spear was a reference to a spear you could purchase in the game that had ice damage along with the chance to paralyze. Such an item, even if given "Chance to stun" would probably be too powerful for Sacred 2. The game also had a +7 greatsword, which was the best possible weapon you get if you knew where to look. In the game, +6 items were the best that could be had thru enchantment. And in the previous game, you had the Wizard's Crown. It was an item that let you cast lightning, improved the spell casting, and had high defensive bonuses.
  2. Any chance for unique scythes? I wish flail was an option, but it can't be implemented from what I've read.
  3. There is the Divinity: Original Sin game coming out from Larian if I'm not mistaken. I've not seen news of anything else that really interests me. Personally, it's fine if I don't find another RPG any time soon. It gives more time to go thru and complete the Gold Box and Wizardry games among others I have waiting.
  4. Both this game and Silverfall are on sale until 6/2/2014 for only $2. I accidentally bought an extra copy of Earth Awakening, so I'm willing to give that copy for free. Search Gamestop.com for "Silverfall" and you should see both.
  5. This seems like they are taking the idea of the "Demon" weapons from Silverfall - Earth Awakening. In that game, you could level the "Demons" in your weapons. I never really bothered since that was buggy.
  6. I can't look at any of the pictures. It says I don't have permission.
  7. The loot system is significantly different in the newest patch, and they made encounters harder. Items with single or two stats have been forced aside by rare items that are better and have a lower level requirement. I had multiple characters that I wanted to advance due to needing to use all items waiting for them. Most of them have pretty good rare items now, and I'm talking about only after a few levels of play.
  8. You're done with Sacred 2 multiplayer already? Tell me it isn't so. You only started at the beginning of this year.
  9. If your copy process fails, you might need the web installer version: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 DirectX 11 may be the latest version, but IIRC those dll errors are due to missing files in the system32 folder.

  11. If you install the DX9 redist I mentioned previously, it should take care of the error.
  12. Unless they have changed the stance on no open world and only two combat arts(last update I bothered reading), then count me as not interested.

  14. Turn off Physix. It's seriously unoptimized for any system. It may work decently with the Greatest System Ever Built, but you'll eventually run into lag with Physix enables.
  15. I'll put in my vote for "Balance". If you're following the HoMM mythos, then all of the pieces of the set should represent the different dragons.
  16. There are Tunngle Sacred Underworld servers still online. I just checked, and there were five active sessions going on. Sacred 2 can have well above 20 servers running at a time.
  17. I've never been a fan of the Ashan setting for HoMM and now MMX.
  18. After thinking over this build and the intent, I do agree that Mentalism Focus should be taken and not Lore. You could argue that Spell Resistance could be replaced by choosing Kybele to heal if needed. Shield Lore could possibly be added back or Damage Lore. Damage Lore seems to be a better choice due to it impacting multiple combat arts of the Dragon Mage as well as damage inflicted from the ranged attack.
  19. I've rarely run into issues when playing on Windows XP. I had symptoms that you described on Windows 8 and Windows 7. The game is not really designed well for a 64 bit operating system in my opinion.
  20. One idea for a Javelin legendary could be similar to a weapon in a very old RPG I once played. It would have Ice damage along with a chance to stun(could be a specific value or scale very slowly). You could also come up with something attached to history like the Spear of Destiny. As far as shields go, the only thing I can think of would be something with either damage(shield bash) or would reflect damage(think of a mirrored shield).
  21. I was able to disable and re-enable the 1.40 Hotfix content after downloading the version available at the start of this thread. I'm pretty certain the one available from the Sacred Wiki is 1.40 since that's where I remember downloading it from.
  22. Neither way worked for me. The link does not work and redownloading and trying the disable still fails with the newest version from here.
  23. I can't disable version 1.40 of the Community Patch. I run into an image error when I try running the disable function. I'm using the latest version available here.
  24. Blood Forest in Silver tops out around level 70. I've been used to level caps in version 1.30 of the Community Patch.
  25. Tunggle operates like a "lobby" system, so you just browse to the RPG section and select Ice & Blood. I was able to join a game yesterday with Veracious, so I'm explaining the setup to any others interested.
