  1. I tend to only want to play magic-based characters... so I would vote for a Voodoo Dryad without Alchemy. Alchemy (unused by most, but used extensively by your family) fills in the holes in any build. Now, my argument is beginning to turn to adding it in... for that very reason. I would like to see a hybrid character (minimum 2 aspects) for each class that does not use ranged nor melee attacks. At all. Ever. Even against bosses. Goodbye rph. Goodbye life leech. Hello challenge!
  2. Ground up fibre is still left handed starch... left handed means you can't digest it.... unless you take cellulase in a digestive enzyme capsule. btw left handed sugar is sucralose (IIRC). Tastes sweet, but can't be digested by humans... though, again, I wonder if you take a multi-spectrum enzyme capsule if maybe that becomes untrue. The problem with prepared juices is the loss of natural components through processing... using a blender on real fruit is not likely to destroy Vitamin C or anything else. It's the cooking they have to do, and the straining, (and freezing or heating, or drying) that makes juice less valuable. (Plus they add sugar to juices to fix the flavour, or enhance it--It's all about how much you crave it after you drink it, BABY!) So: My vote is: if it makes you ingest your daily limit of fruit/veg... go for it!
  3. I always suspect the Inquisitor was brainless... and now... Proof!
  4. Squirrels... any time I read about squirrels I think of Lexchicky, a former moderator from the SIF. There were squirrel wars back then... perhaps this refers to her, or to one of the squirrel wars participants? Only old SIFers will know (back from S1's early days).
  5. #2 on the list is The Exorcist... and that little girl saying those horrible things doing such horrible things to herself... it really creeps me out. Really.
  6. When playing a Dryad character you have the option of equipping a shrunken head. The shrunken head gives you a bonus (damage?, attack?, defense value against?). I've noted that all the characters have differing values of bonus versus different categories of opponents. Does anyone have a handle on how these values show up? Or is this just something partially exposed to us in the interface?
  7. Way to go Furian! Thanks for sharing your success story!
  8. All of them? Or just the one? I know he has more than one. He's like DaGirl that way.
  9. Nice to see you Tharkane. I'm sorry to hear that S2IB doesn't work for you. I know the painful time after S2FA was released turned a lot of people off the game... but the patches did come out. It's not perfect, but, to me at least, it's gorgeous! Wishing you well, as always, your co-writer Frost/Dave
  10. Thanks all! I was really really afk (by about 200 miles!) over the weekend. I've had my 3rd birthday dinner now... with pie, more pie, chocolate cake (still drooling it was that good!) and oreo cake last night! I'm doing an internal happy dance... and just want to say thanks for the well wishes from the [D.a.r.k.]! Cheers all!
  11. Hi Timo! Nice to see you. Re: time/new interest? Umm... Sports. How about sports? Good luck in the job search, and Cheers
  12. I would look in the manual and use that email address. If that failed, I would look at the help section of the official forum.
  13. Just want to report that due to excellent help from this forum I was able to get my new Ice and Blood to work under windows 7! Thanks all!
  14. I will have to imagine! The only legendaries I have were boneslicers or a hammer given to me by a German player. The excitement of an orange drop (on pc) is still in my future!
  15. Thanks. I'm downloading this particular patch as I type this.
  16. RE: magnifying glass to use on websites: Internet Explorer comes with built-in accessibility features that you can turn on/off to allow you use the computer to magnify parts of web pages, or... you can change the default font sizes to larger... I did both of these things for a co-worker before her cataract surgery. It really helped her! Cheers!
  17. Your daughter is showing great spirit and intelligence. Chip off the old block? (wink) Thank you for enlarging my knowledge about the getting stronger quote. I seem to recall another quote that is a tough person's quote that might fit... Pain is weakness leaving the body. It is in English, but sounds German to my ears. Wishing all your family the best, Frost/Dave
  18. I recall a graveyard in a cave in the Human Region (around the banshee) that has Silearth and someone else (or 2 or 3) from the Sacred International Forum (SIF)... at the time I took screen caps... so when I get home I'll start on that one.
  19. I would just like to say that I've been reading this thread with interest, but don't have the experience to be able to make intelligent comments. So, I want to help, but... well. You know how it goes. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in this.
  20. Necro-ing this thread since I now have a Windows 7 box... and I know that Dobs has ongoing ctd issues. I put in UK Sacred2 2.0.2.0--and tried to patch it to 2.40 UK version... The patch tells me I don't have any Sacred2 installed. I'm using x64 Windows 7... and it installed Sacred2 in "Program Files x86". Was going to leave Sacred 2 in that mode until I tried a VD Dryad... but the ctds stopped me. (though I wasn't yet running in XP compatiblity mode, nor running as Administrator yet). Will try the suggestions others have posted here... but what gets me is the patch is telling me I don't have Sacred 2 installed at all.
  21. I was digging a bit through the class specific quests in the wiki.... and found that it was not always obvious which class the quest was for. I was thinking we should add a line in the top to say: Seraphim class only quest or Class Specific Quest: Seraphim only or some such. Also, I would like to have the links to class specific quests say Children and Demons (Seraphim Class Quest) a-b-c (Shadow Warrior Class Quest) so that people who are looking up their character's quests can quickly uncover them... the way it is now, that is difficult. What do people think? I'm quite willing to poke at this if the consenous is to move ahead with it, given a little bit of guidance.
  22. Methinks too punchy. It is intensely emotionally charged and wonderfully executed... but if you note: the 'blood' in Sacred is about 3x less realistic than this. This is the stuff of nightmares for some 12 year olds.
  23. Weeeeeelllll! I'm just brave enough to watch the video... but no where near brave enough to climb like that! Wow! Just wow. I suppose one could acclimitize oneself to doing this, but it would take me a loong time to get to that point (read months of daily incremental attempts). If I did climb, it would be the slow, always safety lined way. My imagination is far too active. Wow. Oh... and as an added thought: I work as computer support.
