I hereby resign as proposed guild leader for GW2 effective immediately.

I will be playing gw2 and d3,both are on my shopping list. Like a few others I'm not much of a download game type of person. I like to actually have the manuals and keys be something tangible with a receipt to prove I actuallyh bought it rather than an email that can be lost. Not to mention with 3 of us playing in the house thats ALOT of bandwidth to use, even one at a time will take alot of bandwidth and time to get us all up and running but 3 physical copies makes it go much faster.

Any word on guild hall requirements ?

I agree the chances that our clan name will be swiped before release time is probably slim however if the guilds are like in GW1 there is a gold requirement to set up a guild that means some dedicated grinding in the beginning to have the required cashola to set it up. Any kind of headstart we can make on that prior to official release will only make the process go that much faster. And as to the world we setup on , My feeling is an EU one might be better for 2 reasons. 1) those of us in the US who like to grind and pve find the servers emptier due to the time diference so less lag to deal with and b) for our international players an EU server will have more who a)speak thier language probably and b) will not tell them to speak english in rude and nasty ways every 5 minutes... (which I have seen happen in GW and other MMORPGs located on american servers unfortunately).

They currently in GW1 sell things in game for $$, extra slots, costumes, name changes, character changes, etc...

*blushes* I've love to be guild captain again in GW2. I have my $$ put aside for a copy day one its on the shelves. I'm still slaving away trying to get my achivements. I have a survivor I'm working to get to level 2 (about 65% of the way) along with a few other titles like drunkard and such. Lately I've been hanging out in pre-sear trying to get a survivor level 1 over there... made it to level 10 my last attempt and then a undead ilusionist (vangard mission) took me out :-( My main's name is Lady Jade Greye if anyone wants to get hooked up with entry in the guildhall of GW1. It is a complete guildhall with all the services, just a very empty one most of the time lately.. I think keeping the guild name the same would be great. I would also like to find some active players for guild officers with me. My eldest is a junior in high school now so this summer and fall we will be taking the college road trips to check out colleges so having back up in game to help out would be great :-) (not to mention with 2 kids and full time jobs LOTNR and I cant be in game 12-14 hours a day everyday, real life can be a drag sometimes ;-) ) Cant wait to play with you guys (and gals) again .! I'll start working on Ari see if she will be playing also.... ;-)

There is also a non advertising version of chrome called iron. Lord uses it as his main browser all the time. I have it as a back up to FF. I hate MSIE.... Only time I use it is at work to get to sites (work related) that wont play nice with FF (highly secure sites that only work with MSIE's security features) I'm really hoping FF4 over takes MSIE badly so those sites will be forced to program to work with FF too so I can stop using MSIE permanently.

I beg to differ. MSG has known history of triggering or exacerbating asthma attacks. For most MSG is not harmful. If you have asthma, it can be deadly.

I think all we can do now is pray for a miracle in Japan, the 3rd reactor has had an explosion and the 4th one that was shut down is on fire ... the evacuation zone is now 30km and the level of radiation at the gates is risen exponentially. It does not look good and it looks like it will get alot worse before it gets better :-(

Lord and I lived in Japan when the Kobe quake happened in 1995. We were in Yokuska , justoutside of Tokyo awaiting Daemonrocks arrival at the local Navy base there. kobe was and probably still is one of their major shipping ports. While Tokyo just got shook a bit and most of the rest of Japan had no damage the damage to the port interrupted supply lines for months. I can still remember having to really search out baby formula because the us navy imported all their American goods through Kobe and couldn't for weeks. While this time the quake didn't hit a major supply port it has hit their refineries and their power plants. In addition to the normal quake clean up activities they have 2 possibly 3 meltdowns in progress and limited electricity and gasoline to address the clean up efforts (and stop the melt downs). It may take years for the country to recover. This tragedy may define an entire generation over there. My heart goes out to the people over there but I really feel for the foreigners over there who are in a foreign country and may not speak the language going through one of the worst natural disasters ever experienced by a country. The Japanese will survive and rebuild because they have done it before but I think their society will fundamentally change as a result. They have adjusted the rating for the quake, its now listed at a 9.0 instead of 8.9 . The Sumatra quake of 12-26-2004 was a 9.1 for reference. If you have a facebook account there is a group called Dog Bless you that is a non profit funded by the annenburg group. If the group gets 100k likes in 10 days they will donate 100k to rescue /relief efforts in Japan ... costs nothing and the offer is legit. Look them up and click like. They were only 7k away from the goal as I typed this.

I had to rollback to 3.6.13 to play some flash based games. I only found the bug report at 10am today, it wasnt up last night when I was crashing every 2 minutes or so. So I think its still a problem. I'll dig more into the mozilla site and see what the current status was.I was person number 32 to report it this am. Disabling shockwave fixed the crashing issue for me but as above I need flash for certain things I do on the net so I had to source out the older version of firefox to "fix" it and then tell firefox to not auto install the new version until I tell it to do so. You can now ( a fee applies to obtain this upgrade) You can now obtain both Legendary Defender of Ascalon AND Survivor in pre-searing ascalon. The New Vangard quests allow you to obtain the titles with no death leveling needed for Legendary Defender of Ascalon. There have been changes to the survivor track and drunkard track and a skills trainer for pre-sear ascalon! There was also a major skill rebalancing for Dervishes and much more. If you havent played Guild Wars in a while come back and see all the changes...

Just an FYI, Flash shockwave and the newest version of firefox 3.6.15 are not compatible and flash will crash your browser everytime. It was just release in the last 48 hours and I got hit last night with it...

no thunder storms for me but black ice in the morning.... took a turn in my drive way at my normal speed of about 8 mph .... went sideways through it and then fishtailed out the end of my driveway.. but later that day, it was like spring had arrived early. I miss spring.

I d'loaded undercroft for my ipod for free.... I then had to try runescape by the same makers... I may end up next month if I still like runescape, paying for membership for 90 days. This type of marketing in my book works since undercroft has lead to me playing the fullversion and watching thier $$ generating ads. Deep Silver would be stupid to atleast not research if a small version of s3 would be possible on the ipod. A prequel type thing that would whet peoples appetite for the full version on the pc or console.

There is a free version to try it out before you buy the full version if that helps any db

Glad to hear they figured it out. Make sure you bundle up really well when you go back to work next week. I'm sure the cold didn't help things after the injury happened and probably helped set the stage for the injury to occur. Keeping your back nice and toasty so its loose will help keep it on the road to recovery. I've aggravated my herniated discs 3 times and every time it was in the wintertime so unfortunately I've got experience with back pain and wintertime aggravating the injury :-(.

The hospitals here in the US still use Demorel but its only given by nurse injection at the hospital. It will make you sleepy but since its pain free sleep its still good for you. :-) Sleep deprivation makes everything worse that it really is so get plenty of sleep.

yesterdays snow storm dumped 3 inches , todays storm til about 7pm dumped another 12 inches. tonight its forecasted another 1-3inches and its going to snow again Saturday and Tuesday ... time to get house in order to move south .... I'm getting too old for this crap .
