  1. What would you like to see improved in the current Sacred 2 characters? Should all characters with caster trees be backed up with ancient magic or they should be left as they are – for support/utility purposes? First, the correction of the bugs (Better Yields, Renik's End and other buggy missions). The worst bug is the bug in the final mission. I killed 2 Nameless Guardians and the other did not act at all. I found an explanation telling about a bug if a Nameless Guardian is killed outside of the inner core of the machine. Second: The support, it does not exist. I wrote about the bugs to two emails in July/11th. One (I guess is Ascaron) did not answer and the other answered asking info not relevant (DxDiag info). I answered the last and they answered me they do not give support to my because it was purchased at the USA and they ONLY give support to Sacred 2 purchased at UK. Third: Stupid companions. NPC's that you must guide but that are completely stupids and go directly to the enemies. These NPC's are killed very easily and you fail your mission. These NPC's are frustating, infuriating and make the game a pain instead of a pleasure. What do you think about the party option Sacred 2 provides? Is a 5-man party enough or parties should be bigger (like 8-10 people)? I have enough work managing my own character Do you think that Light chars should be able to team up with Dark chars in Free Play? Not at all, it seams like politicians allies Would you like to see new items – like various star trek phasers, living items that would increase/decrease their abilities based on slain mobs/bosses, etc.? Do you have any suggestions? I would like a greater variety and quantity of special items. I like a lot the exploring and founding of surprises. The humour is one of the better parts of the game, more quotes, jokes, bizarre missions (the best is the dragon in the basement) and easter egg's. I would not like any material out of environment or out of age (I think the age of the game is medieval) like "phasers" or cars or planes. Would you like to have super-bosses that could only be killed by a powerful 5-man party? Or maybe even tougher parties? No, I like to play alone. Would you like to have some additional events? If yes, what sort of events? As I said, I like to play alone. Do you think that events should persist to accommodate people who have missed them, or there should be more events that should change periodically according to the real world time? Same as previous answer. What else do you think may make this game even better? Better quality (the game is very good but the bugs are a pain) and direct customer support from the creators. I think the creators manage the game as their creature (almost their child) but others act like mercenaries (only for the money)
  2. Did you see what happened with BlueByte and Settlers ? For me, Settlers IV (Die Siedler IV) was the last real Settlers game (and, as far as I know, tha last succesfull version). Ubisoft almost destroyed the saga and, it was at least "curious" that Settlers IV was published near the time when Ubisoft bought BlueByte and the game appear in warez BEFORE it was published (who supplied the pirated copy ? a BlueByte employee ? could be....) Did you see what happened with software products "adopted" (like a children adoption) like: DBase III+, Quattro Pro, WordPerfect and several other examples. The buyer company did not "love" the adopted producted because they are not the "real parents" and the product fades and finally disappear. Appart from economical interests, I think a company can not make a really good product if the company team do not love the product and do not take it as their son with enthusiam and deep emotion. No money compensate the lack of enthusiasm. I hope Ascaron can solve its financial problems. On the other hand, the bugs on Sacred 2 (Renik's end, Better yields, etc) and specially the bug in the final mission (Nameless guardians 3 and 4 not awaking in some circumstances) do not any good for the game. We, the old Sacred fans, could forgive these bugs but I think the newer gamers and specially those on consoles (XBox, PS, etc) will be less tolerant and if the game acquire fame of bugous no one will forget this fame.
  3. In the quest "Sickle Moon Wool" you must hunt 8 sheeps and get the wool. When I made this quest I only got 7 items and there were no 8th item in the zone. The worst part of the bug is you got a permanent companion (the woman asking for the wool) I read about a solution somewhere: - save and exit - restart game - the 8th wool must appear It did not work initially. I erased the contents of the "temp" directory: C:\Documents and Settings\$user$\Local Settings\Temp ($user$ is the user who is playing when the bug appeared). Restart and the 8th wool appeared and you can take it and get rid of the woman. I guess it is only neccesary erasing directory: ....\Temp\Ascaron Entertainment, but I can not replicate error easily. I hope this will help others.
