  1. Thx for your input, and although I don´t know anything about any hype, I must say that this Lap is fantastic. I bought a desktop last year, and the new Lap outruns it by a mile. I remember back then that I was thinking about getting a Lap instead of a desktop, but the price and performance worried me, so I went for the desktop. Fool. I should have gotten the Lap there and then, and just used it with my widescreen when at home. Oh well... the desktop isn´t that bad anyway, about a million times better than my old one. So, if you find a pot of gold, go for a nice gaming laptop and prepare to be dazzled. My went for about 1600 euro, but I have seen others up towards 9000 euro. I can´t even imagine how good they must be. Back to the topic at hand. I found out what went wrong with the keybinding. I had copied the optionsCustom.txt from my desktop and put it on my laptop, but somewhere in the transfer the file itself got corrupted. The textlines looked ok in it, so it must have been something else. I replaced it and then it worked just fine.
  2. That´s fine, just as long as I know that everything works properly. A dual wielding seraphim w staves is quite fun. You get both close combat fighting and range shooting in the same weapon(s), which saves a slot for other fun stuff. I´ll try out the SW next. Yeah, I deleted the options.txt, but to no avail. I can switch weapon-slots with the F-keys just fine, so it can´t be a communication issue. It´s all very strange. EDIT: Wohoo I got it to work! Somehow the optionsCustom.txt on my lap was corrupt. I removed it and replaced it with the working one on my desktop computer, and lo and behold, it worked. It´s still strange though, because the corrupt one was also a copy of the desktop one. At the moment I´m divided between going vanilla spells and enhanced spells. The new spells are very fun, but I miss the teleporting capabilities of the Dryad and the Shadow Vail on the Shadow Warrior. A tough decision. If I had to choose a CA to ditch from the dryad, it would be the Dust Devil as I never use it anyways. Sure, it has it advantages if you get cornered or just like to stand still, but I´d rather just teleport myself out of such a mess. The rooting mod of Forest Flight is quite useful too. The new poison trap is acting a bit weird. It never lands where I´m aiming, and it moves way to slow to be useful on anything other than enemies that don´t move around a lot. Or maybe I´m just not experienced with it enough; might try it out a bit more before final judgment :-)
  3. This is weird. So I tried to uninstall everything. The game still thinks the S2EE is installed though, even after I removed all files belonging to GME and S2EE. So now the changes made by S2EE are gone, but I still can´t use staves to shoot. Somehow running GME and S2EE screwed up the functionality of staves in my game. I´m gonna uninstall Sacred2 alltogether and reinstall it, although it´s a pain in the back with all the updates and patches and stuff. Bummer! Edit: I did a full reinstallation, and now I got staves and all to work again. I think I´ll play without S2EE for now as it seems to have something against me :-( Edit 2: Ohh stupid stupid me... I just realized that I was on CM 0150, not 0160. No wonder S2EE played havoc on me. So I installed 0160. Now the staves do shoot, but they don´t work like before. The instant hit of enemies far away is no more. Instead, if you are using Pelting Strikes, Ruthless Mutilation, or Darting Assault, the staff just shoots a few projectiles, aimed at the closest enemies. Range is terrible. One funny thing is that the Seraphim uses both kicking, hitting AND shooting projectiles when executing the Pelting Strike at close quarters. At range she shoots a row of projectiles on 1 single enemy. The speed and damage of the projectiles are slightly better than before, making a staff a reasonably nice ranged weapon, at least during the first low levels. Btw, while I have your attention: Could you think of any reason why the keybinding in optionsCustom.txt (the one linking F1 to 1, F2 to 2...) won´t work on my laptop. The camera-settings there works just fine. I have a Acer Predator Helios 300 with nordic layout keyboard. I have no problems using the F-keys otherwise.

  5. Hello wizards, I have a slight problem you might possibly be able to help me with. I recently bought a new laptop (Acer Predator Helios 300 / 15.6" / FHD / IPS / 144Hz / Win 10 Home / Nordic layout keyboard) and the game runs perfectly except for one detail. I have managed to bind the keys (numeric 1 to F1, 2 to F2 and so on) in optionsCustom.txt and it works just fine on my desktop Win 10 computer, but it has no effect on the laptop. Is this a common thing with laptops, or is it just mine? The F-keys works as intended ingame, so it can´t be a problem with the game not recogniscing them, it´s just that the binding doesn´t work.
  6. Thx for the quick reply :-) Well, without the EE 2.3 the staves work just fine and shoots projectiles as they should. Are there different versions of EE 2.3? In the GME I activated the main file first, then the Superspawn. I tried to upload a file "RicsLvl17Dryad" under Ice & Blood Misc, but it needs approval from a moderator.

  8. Hi. I´m just testing this mod and I´ve noticed that magic staves doesn´t shoot anymore (yes, I have taken the skill Magic Staves). I was planning on making a Dual Wield Magic Staff Seraphim, using the Pelting Strikes, for the extra range the staves give (hitting enemies several meters away from you), but with this mod that doesn´t work anymore. I have the latest patch and CM 160. I´ve tried both the vanilla spells and the Enhanced Spells version, and it´s the same result. Same thing with the Dryad. When I disable the mod, staff-shooting works again. Is this intended? Or just an unforseen consequence? Whichever, it´s a shame as I really liked that the seraphim could do a bit longer ranged Pelting Strikes. The Dryads "Kill-everything-for-a-mile" build, or the Inquisitors Ruthless Mutilation build are a bit overkill, but the seraphim is well balanced in that aspect, she gets some ranged hits, but is still limited to the strikes PE does. On the other hand, I like the new CA´s in Enhanced Skills. The Sonic Vortex is amazing, and might just have to replace the ranged Pelting Strikes setup.
  9. This must be THE most amazing mod I´ve ever seen to Sacred 2. That said there is a minor things that bugs me, namely the annoying sounds from active buffs. Now I´ve managed to find and deactivate the Shadowed Veil buff sound for Sacred 2 in the soundprofile.txt, and now I wonder how to turn off the sound for the Amazon Inner Sight buff. I´ve looked in the txt, but as most names are in german, I´ve no idea what that buff is called. Any1 have a clue? Is it actually the same as Cleansing Brilliance buff, and in that case, what´s it called in the soundprofile.txt? Btw, the animation for Inner Sight looks like the one for the high elf´s Grand Invigoration buff. Is it the same? OK, problem solved. The Inner Sight is based on Grand Invigoration. Once I´ve set that sound to zero, the Inner Sight also became quiet. Look for: newProfile = { profilename = "FX Highelf Regenerationskraft", fx = 174, mindistancefactor = 80, maxdistancefactor = 100, event1 = { event = "FX_CAST", resource = 2353 }; event2 = { event = "FX_STAGE0", resource = 2354 }; Set the numbers 2353 & 2354 to 0 (zero) and that´s about it, no more annoying sound from Inner Sight buff.
