I'm having the same issue. Sacred 2 gold on Windows 10, with the latest community patch. The game starts and the menu bars (Single player, etc.) are visible. However, many elements are not displayed, for instance: - unlike on screen presented here, in the graphics options I can see only 'Graphic Details', 'low', 'medium', ..., 'custom', but not 'General quality', 'Texture quality', 'Shadow details' or the rest, - in the character creation screen I can see bars corresponding to skin colour or hair colour, but not the names of the bars, - in game, I don't see the potion name or the stuff that NPCs say. And when I press tilda, I can see the messages INPUT MANAGER: UNABLE TO ACQUIRE DEVICES CONTROL MANAGER: UNABLE TO INITIALIZE GUI <CWELCOMEBOX> Was anyone able to solve this issue? Edit I'm still getting the message "CONTROL MANAGER: UNABLE TO INITIALIZE GUI <CWELCOMEBOX>". However, it turns out that some texts weren't displayed due to missing fonts. Following answer from here: This helps in the case of English version being installed. You can find solution in the case of different language here. After all, I'm not sure whether missing fonts are connected with the control manager message.
