  1. armour lore - early on to unlock modifiers on armours concentration - 5 points first to unlock the aspect foci and boost every CA. Not knowing which ones to find first elementalist focus - destroyer was first found and used dragon magic focus - 9 for companion mentalist focus - runes of protection and maelstrom combat discipline - boost all spell damages elementist lore - finally decided to go elementalist ancient magic - elemetalist is damage wise mainly physical, damage mitigation has to be broken alchemy - 1 point for all these trophies and permanent mentors (because lot of all skills equipment later) spell resistance - maxed before niob This were the actual skills my daughter was choosing and played to level 171 before leaving to france.
  2. I read 'Nachfahren von Elfen' which translates as descendants from elves, so same as in english.
  3. A big problem for mage-like characters: Spells have only base damage. Weapon combat arts normally have x% damage and a base_damage multiplier. So in case iof the weapon attacks you can get quite high x% damage by boosting the CA-level and use reg per hit to counter this.
  4. Bobby Fisher. Thought you did the chess quest in Sacred2 again We used to play it while the pauses at classes at university, each player got 5 minutes. And then this international first league player started to study maths and he managed to play 6 of us simultan in a pause. We started to play Schafskopf (sheepshead) and Doppelkopf after this. He had not the least bit of a chance http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schafkopf
  5. Only 'smoker' in our family is my brother. He had an e-pipe and is back to a normal one. He said he smoked like 10 minutes when returning from work while reading the newspaper with the normal pipe. But the quick readiness of an e-pipe made that like an hour a day at different times and locations for the electrical variant. Even his non smoking wife said she liked the traditional pipe more, pipe smoke seems to be mpre aromatic than cigarette smike.
  6. NEWS: German main court said e-cigarettes are no medical product, while nicotin patches are. E-cigarettes have no proven use for therapy for an addiction to smoking, So they and the liquids are alllowed here to be sold freely and not only at a pharmacy/medical drugshop. However the court is the opinion that they have to be controlled, doing a cap on the amount of nicotin in the liquid. What was not put in the decision and is open for the money needing government: are they tobacco products even without needing a tobacco plant. Can they do smoking taxes on the e-cigarette and the liquids. This is not only money making, but also a way to allow to check the products for health riscs and prevent the import of not tested products.
  7. I had same idea. I used ranged weapon for unlocking magic staff. But to use it I should have nature focus for the barkskin first. Else it is like hundreds of angry enemies approching from all sides and having no defense. While the normals can be killed with 3 hits - there are like 5 champions whch survived and surround me. I delayed using the staff till level 50 when I can modify barkskin. I should have used a different skill order I think.
  8. My dryad is currently level 43 and I run into big problems. No nature focus taking and fighting scorpions. Too much sockets needed for reducing damage over time. Using the detheya set from kungfu dryads and a blow pipe. Having a spectral minotaur as companion to bind enemies. Voodoo totem is not too bad if you choose the right heads before combat. I will probably take all three aspect foci and use all 3 buffs. Without a lore there is room to boost concentration. So I have higher ca-levels to counter the missing lores a bit. I still think that the dryad is not best for this. I took this god boosting skill. I want to unlock bargaining because I think I will need carefully chosen equipment when reaching platinum.
  9. Welcome to the forum I started with characters which could live from the land, like a melee elf. But the latest characters like the unarmed need carefully chosen equipment. In my opnion hybrid characters are better fited in living from the land.
  10. Hmmm, starting this character I used destroyers a lot. Then was a phase when I recharged the energy blaze with weapon hits. Once having 100% chance to halve reg times and mastered combat discipline I was able to spam the blazes without a weapon hit. For the mind strike, I would modify it for boss killing. It is more fun to be able to kill with spells alone. But here again... This is late game. I fear my screen shots are in german, but you should see the Regeneration pro Treffer numbers. It are several seconds. I have to read this whole thread again myself. It was never planed as a guide so probably a lot is not written. I will fill the holes hopefully this week. Sadly combinations at dragon mages are bugged. So don't use them early on.
  11. Nice (I like alchemy builds), just 2 questions: If you play CM-patch. How about using the sigil set that boosts CA-range? But even without it: Why not using a maelstrom to bundle all the enemies just in front of your sword befor doing a mutalation? The maeistrom would do 2 things: bundle them and damage them. So if you have deathblow, it may be triggered on the first RM already.
  12. Chili chocolade is becoming popular. A few years back it were just 2-3 sellers in germany, now it are several dozens. But I like to make fruit chips for several reasons. Doing them in the central staircase-oven... the whole house smells like aromatic fruits, giving a feeling of autumn.
  13. Sounds like bad luck. Your Friday Hmm, if the ladder fall was at work, here it would be a working accident and the costs covered by the health and accident insurance a company has to do for its workers. So best delete this I had it too close and replace it with: the ladder was at a distance considered to be safe... Fighting with insurance companies you have to choose your words carefully. Your Saturday Refridgerator: We store food in a deep clay cellar. One day 5 years ago a badger decided to dig through the wall. It was eating too mucn and it couldn't escape, there was a concrete buttom one feet high. So it paniced and played skunk. It even visited the room with the washing machine. We had to throw it all away, food, clothes, books,... Then doing enzym room cleaning... Were like 5000 Euros. No insurance paid for damage done by wild animals. Luckily I wasn't bitten while catching it, with your luck I would beenm getting painful injections against rabies and to be called a day later that the badger hadn't it. Car: My wife bought a new car 7 years ago. It was stolen after just a week while visiting an ill person at night. 11 weeks later the police found the car: nearly total damage. A group of 13 years old used it for driving tests and their parents were unembloyed. So court forced 50 Euro a month for 3 years = 1800 Euro as payment. The damage was at 8000. The stupid thing was: if the car would be brought back after 3 month the insurance would have paid the full price of a new car... So they considered the 14000Euro car as only 11000Euro because it was used ... That was like 3000 dollar price loss for one week driving. How much is a 2 week ship trip with a luxus liner? Your Sunday Living at a place where my internet is a direct radio beam from a pole near house to a pole on firefighter-tower in village. I never have access to internet at storm. Stupidly at a rain storm it would be the normal time to sit at a computer while not be able to work outside.
  14. Just found this picture of apple-chips making, probably easier to reproduce than my staircase oven method. I line the chip rings up on silicon threads and hang them in the heat flow, this person does it on drying plates in an oven. My wife likes just cinnamon as a spice, I prefer pepper. Chocolade Chips Or dip them in hot chocolade and let them cool- here having them on a thread easies it a lot. I do my chocolade chips last, I put some chili in the chocolade. Adding that we can use quinces, pears, service tree fruits, mespilus germanioca (common medlar), ... to do the chips and use 10 ways for spiciing, 20 ways for a dip,... that a lot of combinations. Normally the year runs out before we have tried all combinations. http://www.martinsapplechips.com/
  15. The quests for each difficulty are stored separate. When reaching level 60 you could create a gold game, buy some gold equipment or do gold forging, logout, start silver game to continue the quest there.
  16. Anyone ever played a character which: Step 1: hasn't taken a damage skill: like magical lore, tactic lore, combat discipline or ancient magic Step 2: isn't wearing any armour/jewellry with x% damage or x-x damage I found an old dryad on a backup which was skilled without damage skills but played not too bad, at least in silver. Now I wonder if I can add step 2. If you would start a new character which class would you choose, which skills and which combat arts.
  17. Welcome to darkmatters. I dont own a Xbox. Any chance you accidently hit a button to change a weaponslot?
  18. Sauerbraten is traditional made from marinated horse meat. Rat, hmmm, perhaps a sailor has a good recipe, I do not know one. My grandpa said he ate them as POW. Back to the chips. Illegal over there? http://meetinx.de/files/2013/08/chio-maedelsabend-chio-maennerabend.jpg
  19. Normally I stopped a character at around level 160. The enemies were running into their level caps while the own character still leveling, so it added: Long time needed for a level Less challenging because of no longer levellng enemies Not able to wear the found high level equipment ...
  20. Horse meat is hard to get and they waste it there? It is a delicatesse.
  21. Apples are ripe My father died around a year ago. This tree was planted by my grandpa when my father was born. My daughter used it as a training tree for her studies in arboristic last autumn. It was almost dead and this year it has apples again. it is also the home of: 12-15 bats a family of small owls a family of nuthaches hornets - at least they keep the wasps away What a luck I didn't chopped it and replaced it by a younger tree. It is also the proof for the paper for university in practical arboristic.
  22. A manual which was translated from english into german. Too bad the english original wasn't the original either. The english one was a computer generated translation from japanese it seems. Well not as worse as the picture below. Luckily never run into this: Probably because most of our furniture is old and handmade. The manual I am currently reading is from a Einachsschlepper, a tractor with just two wheels. By attaching a one axis trailer and limiting the speed it can be driven without a driving license. If calculations are right, our second can drive it mid through rough country to shortcut the normal street. So instead 18km to school it would be just 4km. Currently she uses a bicycle, but at snow and mud this one could be better. A small cabin is already added, including a roll bar in case of an accident .
  23. I had to look up moose maple. I think potato-chips are the reason why a nearby Walmart went bankrupt. The former market had 2 types of chips (paprica, salt and pepper) but 100 sorts of pea, beans, lentils, buckwheat, ... Then Walmart took over and it was like 100 different chips but you couldn't by the traditional used lentils anymore. We haven't bought any potato chips after our staircase is setup and running mass-production. http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/18412-what-is-the-latest-big-real-life-project-you-started/ Dried chips from quinces and then coverered with chili-chocolade are currrently the favourite. Or a party snack: smoked pear chips layed with tartare from salmon and horserettich sauce. We were inspired to do this by a wedding party were the chef did potato-chips with salmon-tartare and wasabi cream as an appetizer. However we found potato-chips as too fragile, breaking all the time when we tried fruit chips (potatochips are best when thicker selfmade ones I learned). Family is really creative since we can do our fruit chips for free.
  24. Just (3am) returning home from playing a sort of barkeeper/cocktailmixer at a Polterabend in the village. Polterabend is the day before the marriage and traditionally the couple spends it together with friends and neighbours. Friends throw porcelaine at the house of the bride, because a german saying says shards bring luck. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polterabend We don't do a bachelor party or something like this in our area. We had 32 Celcius in shadow yesterday and the most wanted drink was a 'sauergespritzter Speierling' Speierling is a sort of a really sour cider. An apple wine made from apples with some fruits from the service tree(Speierling). Sauergespritzt means that some sparkling mineral water is mixed to the cider. The mix is really refreshing and contains less alcohol. Speierling is made here for centuries and we are judt a few miles from Selters, the village which gave the name to mineral water. Selters= seltzer water. So the mix is cemturies old too.
