  1. This fine gentleman has some free animations, think I might use this one here
  2. We'd have to ask DreD for that one, he's our witty gravestone inscriber
  3. I try But there's only about 13 seconds of that video that use Sacred as background footage. I blurred it a bit and used it only because the transitions between the same picture looked a little funky. It's hard to keep people's eyes interested when all I have to work with are 1 concept art piece, a world map, and some .pngs I custom made from their existing art. I agree though, I'm in a catch 22 here where I want to help bring awareness to the game to get more funding, but at the same time I don't want to come out with content that gives people the wrong idea. I've been toying around with using some unrelated game content for transitions - something like ambient smoke on a black background. Thoughts on that? I enjoy making videos, but don't want to confuse others
  4. Thank you for this link, I was looking for it a few months back
  5. Any funds donated until they cut off the first tier are being put towards preproduction. You can bet they're going to need a lot more than 25k Euro to make the game, so there will certainly be quite a lot of fundraising after the preproduction stage is complete
  6. gogo, if you happen to grab one of these I would love to try and get my hands on it for the subreddit
  7. Doubt they'd keep these donation tiers till January, but if so my small university budget will be ready to donate more
  8. Anddddd we have arrived at a great solution! Simple but effective, I like it. I'll be waiting on the English translation to go live then start working out the details for it. Thanks for the inspiration SX
  9. I think it definitely depends on the subreddit though. If the mix of a good community, good mods, and good guidelines get drawn there are some excellent subs out there. There's a lot of trash out there, but finding those diamonds in the rough is a great experience
  10. Hello everyone, I use reddit quite frequently (always lurking, never posting) and figured it would great to have another media platform to discuss Unbended related content. Although currently it provides the same functionality as something like a forum, I think it's good to set one up now for when the game really starts rolling. So today I fiddled around with a bunch of CSS code to get a nice framework for our subreddit at http://www.reddit.com/r/unbended/ It still has a few bugs and the design obviously needs to be worked on further, but I think it's a pretty good starting point. If you've got a reddit account and want to participate, that'd be great! Or just bookmark it to lurk later once we get more people in there
  11. Welcome aboard! I remember needing 5 posts or something along those lines before I could change, but they may have changed those rules since I joined. Enjoy your stay on the D.a.r.k side
  12. Out of curiosity is having a skull the same price as having a tombstone? IE 29 Euro?
  13. Did they say that on the forums? Because the FAQ left it open to discussion as they said "We don't believe in level cutoffs". I would believe it's something higher than 205, but they throw in an experience wall that makes leveling impractical.
  14. Beautiful post Knuckles, one of the most honest fan thoughts I've read. Have to definitely agree with this point, I'm always in contact with Frank, and just recently was put in a conversation with Franz and Norbert. It's so refreshing to be able to reach out and talk to the people making the game, especially after the whole "closed door" policy Keen/DS threw at us.
  15. In terms of overall traffic, it is certainly better to break the giant list into individual parts. But I see where the FAQ could get out of control once it reaches a few more question/response combos Edit: Post 2,000 wahoo! Looks like I'm back down to one animated icon now
  16. Will there be a way to make profit off of selling gold or items? Will having mountains of gold drastically change the gameplay experience? If so then yes, bots always pop up when there's money to be made through automated means. I don't see bots coming to Unbended, especially if it plays out like the other Sacred titles, where everyone was just swimming in gold and it had little impact.
  17. Very happy that they listened to the feedback from season one regarding the episode lengths. Feels quite a bit smoother and not as rushed, although spending the budget on that food fight in episode 1 was certainly questionable
  18. I tried this SX and just a few questions in we were already sitting at 7 minutes I'd love to help lessen some of the repeated questions we see, but I just don't have any ideas yet on how to efficiently go about that. 30 minute video reading all the questions is one answer, but at that rate people might be better served just reading the FAQ for themselves.
  19. I'm hoping for both, perhaps even bugs riding dragons
  20. Chiming in with my own opinions here: 1) Reskilling - I like that they don't have it, as it was one feature that always kept me starting new characters when I had another idea or wasn't happy with how the current character was turning out. 2) Free loot - Little skeptical of how this is going to operate with an autoloot system, but I'll be playing with people I know for the most part so I don't mind too much. I could see new players, or players who have never heard of the game getting trolled. 3) No transmog system - I like this alot. I've been playing quite a few MMOs recently and they all have a costume system where you can change your looks but keep your stats. What this means is that whenever I get a gear upgrade there is literally no change to my character except numbers. 4) Level cap - 205, again seems like the direction their other games went in. At least we know there will be a lot of time grinding if you want max level 5) Closed net - IS COMING BACK! Dedicated servers, yes please! Closed net played a huge factor in bringing Clan D.a.r.k together, and it's great to see it again for Unbended.

  22. I love the idea of not reskilling because it lessens the presence of a 'meta' on the game's community. When players are allowed to switch their skills easily, many will simply go for the flavor of the month or the most overpowered build that's available. Also, I think having permanent choices makes the connection you have with that character stronger. Your fire mage who has trained for hundreds of hours shouldn't be able to wake up the next morning and go okay, now I'm a frost mage. I vote yay for the Unbended system
