  1. This is actually several months old. I was checking for new Hobbit videos and found this one with some awesome scenery! I don't think it's been posted before here. @Gogo - no worries, the only bits of movie related stuff are for the first movie, so no spoilers for part 2. Enjoy the eye candy!
  2. Do you ever stop to wonder what else you could have done with the time you spent gaming and on the forums? My headset that most recently was used to skype with Knuckles while hunting withermoths in Diablo 3 was originally bought to learn Spanish with Rosetta Stone. What lesson in Rosetta Stone would I be on if I'd only spend those many hours there instead? Could I be ordering drinks fluently on the beach in Cozumel right now? If I'd come home and gone for a walk around the block would I only need to lose 20 pounds instead of {number censored to protect my pride the innocent} pounds? What if I had gone to the gym instead of the D3 auction house? What if I hadn't spent all those hours trying to prove to Knuckles that I could so kill a dragon with a level 10 barbarian in Sacred 1? (What do you mean you don't believe me either, I'll reinstall the game and show you if you're going to be like that!!! Hmm, can you start a game so I can mule some gold and gear?) Oh yeah, and while I'm here, has anyone noticed the world map in Grim Dawn is now showing towns in areas outside the alpha test area!?!? I think it came thru an update or two ago. I'll do that gym thing right after I see if I can read the latest Grim Dawn news somewhere.
  3. I can understand trying to finish the game w/out twinking. But by all means, yes, take your DE shopping for rings to socket. Trading adds and improves the mods that items have. But even without trading, you can find some decent damage rings that you can socket now. Damage from a ring, even if socketed in your armor, adds to your melee damage. If you can find a few rings with +damage and few with +% damage, it can really add up. I often put a rune in the first socket and then fill the rest with rings/amulets. So when you unsocket, you can save the rune. Oh... the ghosts in the ghost cave drop lots of rings/amulets... it's a great place to farm them, so you won't have to spend gold. Ghosts are weakest against fire. http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/PopularHG-GhostCave.html
  4. This should help: http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/Act5-20ShaddarsTower.htm Wolf's no longer supporting her website but she had some great writeups and Spock offered his website to host them so they're still available.
  5. Having overheard some of the conversatins, they actually had no idea what they were going to use, so it was a good way to get fresh/different ideas. My idea of "FORK (Food OutReach Kitchen)" was getting serious consideration at the very end.
  6. I always played barbarians which don't get trade until level 50 either. The trick before reaching level 50 is to watch for armor w/ the best combination of sockets and mods (ex: one less socket for a good mod, but not for a so-so mod). It can take some time at Bravemart to find the armor pieces w/ the max possible sockets. Even just chest armor with max sockets makes a big diff when fully socketed w/ damage rings. Oh, and make sure all the rings on your DE are the same damage type, preferrably the same damage type as your main weapon. Do you know how to do a LAN drop for yourself? So you could have a dwarf trader who gets good rings and such and then transfer them to your other toons? It makes up for not being able to do transfers using other players in multiplayer. http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/453-sacred-guide-prisms-sp-masterguide/ If you have trouble figuring it out, let me know.
  7. Can't remember if "shock opponent" does damage or is simply a stun effect. I found one old thread that discussed socketing "open wounds" along with "shock opponent" and then opponents would slowly waste away. You could drop down to bronze/silver and hit the goblin area between silver creek and porto vallum (low enough you can stand there getting hit w/out worry). I think it should trigger by them attacking you. Watch to see if they just stun or also take damage.
  8. I'm not a big dark elf person, but I did spend hours grinding on dragons. Knuckles used to call me the "King of Hardcore Bronze" because I couldn't resist throwing my toons against dragons before they were ready, getting them killed! This page might help: http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred:Dragons especially the vulnerabilities table. Melee's a little rough w/ dragons since you're darting in and out to avoid both their breath and their claws. The key strategy is to focus on one type of damage (preferrably what your enemy is weak against) and then go shopping for a couple rings to wear and to socket that have damage and +% damage of that type. Another thing to look for is amulets with +% damage vs dragons. Or even do the quest series to get the Orbus Dracos, which is the next to last item here: http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/Item-UniqueAll-EggsAndReward.html As for melee combat arts... hard hit is your melee fall back. My suggestion is socket several pieces of armor with hard hit (or +skill), which you put on only to make a 4xHH combo, you then take it off, so your normal hard hit has a decent regen which you use while your combo regens (if you have the gold, you can buy concentration potions and then spam the combo).
  9. Yes, impact on birds has been used in the US to block some wind towers. In many places it is a true concern but in a few places it is merely because the local residents think wind towers are an eyesore. Hopefully your government fixes the incentive program, so only the proper amount of electricity is generated and not an excess that wastes money. I'd bet the manufacturers of wind towers helped to write the incentive program.
  10. Ah yes! The final name is "Mobile Eatery" which they will sometimes shorten to "ME" as in "Meet ME at...". We have another truck called the "Mobile Pantry", so the two names are similar. I will post pictures once the truck comes back from the graphics company that is applying a vinyl logo wrap. That's an awesome amount of fruit to give the senior's home. Our food bank has started a garden and it has added several hundred pounds of vegetables to what we have delivered. Our biggest problem is lack of labor to maintain the garden and pull weeds.
  11. @Gogo - That might be a good poll to take... if you have a smartphone, does it show FDM in mobile version or not.
  12. I definitely would not install the app if you add Tapatalk to the site. The current mobile site that I get on my Android phone is perfectly acceptable. Most of the features discussed on the Tapatalk website are suited for social forums, not for gamer forums.
  13. Will any of the husband's guests be non-German speakers? Perhaps in the program put the words in both German and English with the note "Melody: Amazing Grace". This lets anyone unfamiliar with the German version know what is intended.
  14. You can find CAS apps for iphone and android. A good one might cost some money. But it would be a fraction of the cost of the HP Prime. But the HP Prime is dedicated hardware and processor that you know has been rigorously tested so you can have near absolute confidence in the answer being correct. Seeing as you work with explosives, I'd rather be absolutely confident in my answers. If you just want the calculator for "fun" stuff (not for critical explosive calculations), then you might look at the apps first. I googled computer algebra system app and found several with 4+ star ratings, but I didn't look closely at them or read any of the reviews.
  15. I've not tried it but you might try researching sandboxie.com Google: steam sandboxie
  16. masteff (sic) was necessitated by Knuckles' post to sign into the message board system (See "Help Topic: Logging in and logging out" here for assistance with this feature) for the primary purpose of clicking the "Like This" button on Knuckles' most recent post above (the "Like This" feature appears to be incompletely documented and users are cautioned to auto-save prior to feature activation). A casual reader of this forum might note that Gogoblender's subsequent post violates the "Third person formal" rule no less than a half-dozen times; masteff was not amused. (This might make a fun off-topic thread... tell something from your day in third person formal!!!)
  17. Rock on! That's a great idea for a mod... just tweak the one part of the audio down w/out messing up the other effects.
  18. Bravo to you, chattius, for taking it to the senior citizen home! The "Garden Writers Association" started a program in the USA to encourage people to "Plant a Row", an extra row of vegetables in their garden so it can be distributed by charities to people who can't afford to buy fresh produce at the grocery store. http://www.gardenwriters.org/gwa.php?p=par/index.html
  19. 1) Would she use the backseat bed to go on trips on a regular basis and not just once or twice? 2) Is she going away to university? Will she need the cargo space for moving to and from university? Are other students in the area going away to the same university and would she help drive them and their belongs to school too? 3) Is your wife happy with her own car and does not want a new one at this time? If no to the above questions, then buy a more practical used car (similar to Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla).
  20. They're in your PM inbox... have fun with them!
  21. Let's just put it this way Gogo.... it's definitely better for you than McD's or Twinkies. (Although my answer is strictly based on that brand, no ideal about other similar brands w/out checking out the labels and nutrition facts.) The first below website has the nutrition label (under "nutrition facts"). No trans fats is a good thing. The second website below says "all natural with no preservatives, certified kosher". Oh, and it's cooked in olive oil. http://www.sadaf.com/kohinoor-mutter-paneer-splendid-cheese-peas-2112/ http://www.ncapnabazar.com/viewproduct.aspx?id=533 I'm actually going to have to check out my local Indian food store to see if they have that or a similar tasty good looking brand. Of course I also live 3/4 mile from a restaurant that makes a fabulous currr, but sometimes you don't want to spend the time or have that big of a serving. And that looks so easy to take to work for lunch.
