  1. Well I have tried to clear the chest but it was the same thing. I barely play for a few minutes before getting this error again. The game has become unplayable for this. Is anyone aware if the game logs stuff somewhere? I found this. Seems related : http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Server_Update_2.34.1 I have an idea of why this is going on. I see many peole stating that modofied game files have the tendency to break the game. And I just happen to sync the folder with Google Drive Sync. And previoualy to this, I deleted two old test chars withthe game menu BUT google drive asked if I wanted to delete them from the synced copy. And I said no. I think something like this might have broken my save files. Ill try to rollback a few saves and delete the syncing app. Update on 2020-Oct-05: I have tried rolling back the game to the a previous version and it worked. I was able to play for almost two hours with no issues. But after a while of reaching the swamps again the game started crashing again. This is obviously a problem with the s2gs.exe ( http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Server_Update_2.34.1 ) where it is stated that the game will throw this error more often if any game file are modified. I have not modified any of those files manually. It has nothing to do with the lan, nor the OS I am using ( Windows 10 ) as this is an old issue that has happened with many other users in different systems, configurations, and OSs. I am now reinstalling the game to test it again. The antivirus sftware seems unrelated as well.
  2. I have nottried cleaning the chest but I am having the exact same issue. Now that I am reading this post I notived that this started happeningjust after I added a few items to the "shared" chest. Its not full though. It like 70% full. Ill try clearing it and see what happens. And yeah. Im updating a decade old post.
  3. So. Is it possible to have dual wield with two weapons and have 100% ice damage?
  4. Not at all. Never played around with any of the game files. Would it be steam related? I have Sacred 2 gold version from steam and the CP 1.60
  5. I have had the game for months now but only today I had this strange occurrence. I always play in Singleplayer mode, but I was surprised to see that the game would "kick" me out due to a message saying I had lost connectivity "with the server":)!! What does this mean? Never during these months playing I had this issue.
  6. Hi folks. I have a doubt about damage types. I know that you can forge a ( for instance ) a piece of lava into a weapon to add fire damage to that weapon overall damage. Thing is that when I create "ice weapons", while I can see the opponents getting hit have a chance to slow down and a bunch of colored spirals show up on their heads, they do not slow down as much as when some enemies hit me. For instance, now I am at the swamps and some enemies hit me and slow me down to crawl. Killing them when in that state takes waaaay more time than usual. So my questions are : 1- It seems to be levels to how much they slow down, maybe when I have more "ice damage" then they slow down more. Is that correct? 2- Is it possible to have a character that makes 100% damage of a certain type? I can see ice crystal, lava pieces magic pearls all over the place, but they always show the same % of conversion from physical to "x type" damage.
  7. Hi folks. In the game I can see mainly two maps. One is the big map that shows the entire world which you can activate pressing M. The other one is a looking glass at the top right corner of the screen which you can maximize by pressing tab. My doubt ia about the latter. When maximized, is there any way to scroll on it? I cannot find a way and if I let go TAB the map goea back to its original size. The reason why I am asking this is because I am in a dungeon below an island at the middle top part of the world map and the same is huge. Its so huge actually that sometimes is a little bit hard to navigate without actually being able to scroll the map.
  8. Hello folks. So in my game I have played for a little more than 24 hours and I am at the middle of the main story ( I think ). Something happened that caught my attention and I was not expecting. I got a staff that has 4 sockets. Until that point I had never seen that, and I am at the Silver difficulty, I still did not unblock other difficulties. So brought some question to my mind: - How much time does it take an usual playthrough to finish the main story for you? - Is there more things that still did not show up? Like items with even more sockets or so? Or Items in general that are only available in other difficulties - Is there any other mechanic that will change in harder difficulties? And one last question, I know I am stretching it, but bear me on this one. Once I finish this gameplay I would like to share the character with you on this site. My question is, what should I share from the saves? I can see more than one file. Actually it seems it has one file for character (which makes sense) but also it has other files that I assume might contain "story" data or so. What's the right way to upload a character? Thank you all in advance!
  9. I am playing as a Inquisitor and I am currently at level 46. I did not know that memorizing too much runes could be bad so I exceeded and now my cooldown is huge. Is there any way to revert this back?
  10. Hi folks. Good afternoon. I have a doubt regarding dual weild vs two handed weapons. Searching Sacred 2 videos on youtube led me to see a lot of builds who use dual weild attribute. So the question immediatelly popped up in my mind. Is the theorical maximum dual weild physical damage greater than the best theorical two handed physical damage? I am thinking maybe there is something in the calculation that increases the damage dealt when dual wielding. But I have not tested this. What do you guys think?
  11. Hi folks, I have a doubt in whats the best way to to go in attacking enemies. When you hover your mouse over one you can see ( for instance ) something like this : (Where it says last opponent). So what I understand from that Last opponent info is that the wolf has only physical armor, which means any other type of damage from my weapons will cause more damage than simply hit him with a sowrd with only physical damage. Sometimes some enemies have mostly, let's say, Ice armor, which I understand I should avoid hitting them with an ice weapon since that will diminish the amount of damage I can inflict on the enemies. Am I correct on this assumptions?
  12. I have a doubt regarding ( and I know this is a subjective topic but please bear wth me ) what is in your opinion to play sacred 2. In my case, I have Sacred 2 Gold installed and on top of it the CP 1.60. But todat I have been going through the mods and I want to know what is what tou folks think is the "perfect" set up. I think my game as it is is awesome, but I wanted to know your opinion since maybe I am missing something nice.
  13. Nice info. It would be nice to know if weapons do actually slowdown enemies as well. Ill try to forge some ice weapons and test this tonight.
  14. Hi folks, Simple question. Does ice have the effect as in Diablo games where enemies get slowed down/immobilized when successfully hit with a ice damage?
  15. Thanks so much for this warm welcome. I am very happy to have found this site and keep this awesome and underated game alive.
  16. Thanks so much for your answer. Just to clarify, when you say "IRC the leeching is also done when you hit your enemy with another weapon" means if I am dual weilding and one weapon has the "Life Leech +X" but the other one does not, even then both weapons leefh life from the opponent. Right?
  17. Hi folks, first of all, I am getting more and more into this game and also into this site and I ( I know I am repeating myself ) but want to thank you again for all your work. I have to say that I am a native Spanish speaker with a good level of English so If I find some spare time and you need a translation contribution to it, please let me know and Ill try to do it. I am a developer as well. Well, getting to the actual point of my question, in my game I got a weapon that states "Life leech +4" as one of its attributes. I do not see any skill in the game specifically related to "Life leech". Am I understand that this is a generic skill that simply "applies" to any character? I am playing as an Inquisitor, and I dont have any other weapon or armor piece with this attribute so my current level of "Life Leech" is 4 when using this weapon, right? And if so, what does "4" stands for? Do I get +4 of life from my foes when I actually hit them? Or is it a porcentage of life from the max points of such foe? Thanks in advance!
  18. Hello folks, I am playing as an inquisitor, and I was reading that it was very useful to take the "Bargaining" skill a few points above your current level. So I have been trying to assing points to that skill at every level update. But the problem is the game is not allowing me to add more points to that skill than to my level. For instance, I was at level 19 about to gain level 20. Once I did I tried to add the three skill points to bargaining but the game only allowed me to assing one and then it greyed out the "up" arrow so both my char level and my bargaining level was 20. Why is that? Am I missing something?
  19. Hi all, This is my first post on your site and first of all I want to thank you for creating a point of contact for people who love this game so much as I do. Having said that, I have a doubt regarding the bonus calculation I would like to address here. Reading through dual wielding skill here : http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Dual_wield#:~:text=español • français-,Dual wield, effects from other weapon skills. I can see this being said ( and I quote ) : "Dual Wield does not stack with Sword Weapons or Hafted Weapons. Example: Let's say you have picked dual wield and sword lore skills and you're using two weapons in one slot. In that case, your sword lore skill will only apply to any attribute marked as "Modifier: Sword lore" on any weapon you find. It will not improve the attack speed or the attack value any further." Should I understand from the above that having both Dual wield and ( for instance ) Sword Weapons as bonus makes no sense in a character? In my game I am playing as an Inquisitor. I have Dual Wield already but I am hesitant to get any weapon skill because of this. Thanks in advance!
