I remain, I had the CM Patch downloaded in preparation for a bit of down time, but I just can't bring myself to play it SP. If I'm going to play on my own, I might as well go back to the console version (big TV, comfy couch, +all skills, high level socketables and VD Dryad )

And you can connect with no problems? That's how it looks for me, I am certain the problem exists beyond my local network. Which leaves me stuck waiting.. Oh, and if anyone else wants to know how to copy out of a command prompt, right click and choose 'Mark', then drag a box over the text you want to copy and right click again to confirm. It will now be on your clipboard.

Hey guys, Just wanting to complain about and apologise for my absence lately, both in game and on the forums. Long story short, our ever so friendly real estate company decided they wanted us to move out at very short notice. Not great timing as I'm getting married in 2 weeks. Anyhow, found a great townhouse with more room (the only positive in this story, unfortunately) and finally finished moving in a couple of weeks back. Then the real fun dramas started. So, with no changes whatsoever to my network, computer or Sacred 2 installation and using the same ISP (who took 3 weeks to connect me ), I can't connect to the server. It sits at the 'Connecting to lobby...' screen forever. It seems somewhat similar to the problem that Llama had recently, so I contacted my provider and after explaining several times that the server was definitely working because I could connect to it tethered to my phone, I have escalated it to the help desk. If possible, could I get a few people from different countries to run a couple of commands in a command prompt for me and post their results? Hopefully this will help me deduce where the problem lies and/or give me more to work with if my ISP can't figure it out. It's a very subjective question. If you've played ARPG's before, and you prefer a certain type of class (mage/melee/ranged) you will be able to find each of those in Sacred 2 (high elf/SW/dryad, respectively). Alternatively, if you like a combination of those styles that can be done too (eg. inquisitors make a good mage/melee mix). I'd probably go SW though, the standard hack/slash high HP melee character is generally a good starting point for any RPG. It can be very useful for working out the style of enemies you will come across, along with their attacks. I do agree that a veiled SW is a bad choice, it has a tendency to drain the fun out of the game. That said, I started with a BFG seraphim and played her until 100+ on 360. Gave me the ability to explore the countryside without much concern for her well being.

Interesting, I am having this problem myself. tracert stops at core1.dts-online.net. I have just moved house, but I'm still using the same ISP. Annoying.

I'd roughly estimate something like a 40% chance for set drops to be your class and 10% for each of the other classes? Just a guess. Considering how much of the game mechanics is still unexplored, there could very well be a slightly higher chance to get sets for other characters you have.

Level 29 is not too bad, you could do that over if you felt the need to. If you are in need of a shopping character at around level 40-45, you could take Bargaining at level 35. What level is she? Survival bonus helps, but it can be regained if lost.

That one is annoying...done that >< And I can't figure out a way via the options to disable the shortcut key or set it to something that my ham fingers won't hit very easily like Shift-6 or Ctrl-6 Either leave the 5th slot blank, or put something in it that you don't use all the time. I have Vault in mine. It'd definitely work. Just need to avoid bosses you need to unveil for. Even a little bit of lag can be a killer.
