  1. Track is readied for the upload of your new log, furian. Let's see what I can make of it.
  2. Thank you guys so very much. Well it was a pretty regular workday, but I brought a huge pile of homemade sandwiches and cookies, cake etc. for the collective breakfast with the mob at work. I got nice presents (Firefly Series on BD and the whole BBC series "My Family" on DVD) from my girlfriend and the rest of my and her family. So: Yes it was a nice day.
  3. And of course start the game with the -log=1 option after the executable, or else there is no log file there to be found. Then go to the island and crash it and post the log.
  4. Frankly: I don't know yet, we did not try to make a new Combat-art with descriptions yet. Hopefully we get around to try this after the release of v0110. Currently everything is directed to getting the stuff done that should go into this release.
  5. Most likely the ciSacred mod went along and replaced the CM v0110 surface.txt. This red glow is from a big, fat, red "X" that shows a missing texture. Er... v0110...? Did I miss something..? Erm. Sorry I meant v0100 of course...I got so used to type the v0110 in recent tracks.

  7. Do you have a debug.log for us? Would be interesting to see if anything is botched with that particular enemy on your installation. Might be a bad model file or creature entry...
  8. I quite like the idea, but would prefer the two blades to be more similar, too. Maybe we can change the model of the blooddryad sword slightly for the second blade. (Turning some of the spikes at the handle into different positions, changing the blade in minor parts.) I think it is important that the blades actually do look like "brothers/sisters" to have a "Set" look. Get the stats and names together and file a "feature request" over at Mantis when you are ready.
  9. The sword is definitely doable. No problem there. Just get all the specs together and file a "Feature Request" over at the Bugtracker.
  10. Yes agreed. Kankas is obviously what happens when a Modder with little game experience (me) asks the community for what they want in a Set and foolishly does as asked. As I already wrote in another thread: Kankas is as bad an example as it can get and we will have to adjust that unholy thing in a coming release. (Fair is Fair) To prevent that in future I asked Slevin to assist me as supreme jugde and ruler of all coming sets, shortly after this balancing disaster struck the CM.
  11. On a small sidenote: Kankas should not be used as example for ANY new suggetions (not that this happened here but I read the name). That Set is an example for a way too powerful set, we may have to revise at some point in the future. As I am lacking the game experience to jugde the impact of boni in full I gladly delegate this to Slevin.
  12. Sth. is wrong with the Links-section and the bit with the logo on that linked page. It seems out of place and huddled up in fear on the top left corner. (I use Firefox to browse.)
  13. That is a very true and valid point you made there DB. Balancing is the most important aspect we want to cover when implementing a new set and it is way too easy to stumble over that and build a "Über"-set or "Über"-item, so no-one ever would want to use anything else. Slevin is a part of the CM Patch Team as advisor for the selection of weapon and set boni of the latest additions. I value his extensive experience in this game and also his judgement on balance very high.
  14. Heheheee.....fasten your seatbelts for things yet to come. Edit: How come I got this nifty purple text bittie there in my profile. *excited*
  15. The items are there as such, but would need to be re-created as a copy, since there is a fundamental difference between NPC- and PC gear.
  16. @Woody: I made two seperate reminders on the tracker about those. For the dm we need the models first or need to create a new set from parts that already exist and create new skin textures for them. I like the Blowgun-miniset idea for the dryad.
  17. I can say I am a little surprised not to see anything about this nice and overall quite attractive RPG. Made by the famous Ron Gilbert (see Monkey Island), Death Spank features a weld of the unique humor of the hilarious Point-and-Click series and thoughtful RPG. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoUZwfK2owU Players spoiled by sacreds Questmarker system might be annoyed by the total absence of one. After a moments confusion I found it quite interesting, to have to navigate after map regions and landmarks based on what little the dialog and the questnotes have to offer. Its definitely sth. to give your brainscells an airing to get them start squeaking again. You can get hints about what to do with a specific quest, by spending the common currency for that: Fortune Cookies! Breaking of them unlocks hints in your questbook. The Weaponry is hilarious and offers very nice and epic special moves when you have unlocked them with runes collected by killing important bosses. Also interesting is the very simple armor system: Armor offers just an increase in Hitpoints. End of story. Okay, once in a while there is a resistance to a special kind of damage on a piece but that's it. Death Spank has no stats in the strict sense, you get a choice of hero cards to collect that increase Melee or Distance Damage or elongate your blocking etc. The Combat system is somewhat rich: Block you enemies blows in the right moment to gain the optimal opportunity to strike back at them. Use left and right hand weapons in alteration to build up your Damage multiplier as well as your "Justice Meter" and unleash an epic and devastating special attack when it's full. Its fun, it's addictive and also challenging to learn all the moves and combinations of weaponry and one-time-use gadgets the game offers. If you are into shrewd and sometimes black and cynical humor and like to think sometimes about how to solve or where to get the stuff you need for a quest, you are at home with Death Spank. All in all: For as little as 15 Dollars you get a lot of fun and game for your money over at steam. I haven't tried the expansion "Thongs of Virtue", which is apparently Act II and III to the first Part, but I sure will dive into it once I finished the first game.
  18. I strongly suspect this to be a hardcoded "feature", but I can have a look at it. Is there maybe a version of Sacred 2 when this was once possible before or did this never work? I think I read sth. swh. about the blacksmith skill merging into the weapon and thus being unable to be removed again, so this might be impossible to do.
  19. Dedicated server tool: http://www.game-tools.eu/?tool=s2launch The program description on the site is german, but the tool itself is english. In order to get the gameserver running on a rented webserver you only need to copy the following files (about 40MB): system\MemMgr.dll system\orcSystem.dll system\plugin_filesystem.dll system\plugin_fileZip.dll system\plugin_win32platform.dll system\plugins_srv.cfg system\s2core.dll system\s2gs.exe system\s2logic.dll system\s2logicdll.dll system\s2vista.dll system\stlport.5.0.dll system\tincat3.dll system\zlib1.dll pak\generic.zip pak\persector.zip pak\spawn.zip scripts\autoexec.txt scripts\behaviour.txt scripts\genMipMapInfo.txt scripts\heightmap.txt scripts\landscape.txt scripts\roadmap.txt scripts\startPos.txt scripts\server\*.* scripts\shared\*.* The persector.zip and script files are most likely changeing from version to version of the cm patch, so you have to be ready to update them sometimes.
  20. Don't beat yourself up about it. It should be directly in the Installation folder. I.e. as you stated:
  21. You can find the log named "Sacred 2 Fallen Angel 2.65.x Patch Log.txt" in your Sacred 2 Gamefolder, btw.
  22. Is there a difference between Charquest and Classquest? Because there are a lot of quests titled "...-Dragonmage Classquest.." in the quest.txt.
  23. From the Patchlog everything seems fine, except that you are playing Sacred 2 in a non-supported language (which one, out of curiosity?), but that should not be a problem at all... Can you explain more detailed when, and with what kind of "monster" this crash happens? (Always the same one, does it happen with different chars and savegames,...) Also: What is the nature of the crash? Does the game quit to desktop or is it a freeze or sth. else?
  24. Hi subhenry, I can assure you that CM-0100 does not have a lot of errors. The problems you have must be caused by your installation of Sacred 2, not the CM-Patch. Please upload the "Sacred 2 Fallen Angel 2.65.x Patch Log.txt" from your Sacred 2 Gamefolder, so we can have a look at what might have been wrong in the first place.
