    The Community Patch for the Sacred 2 Fallen Angel Ice & Blood PC game works with versions 2.65.1 and up: Current version is: 0160 Hotfix released December 18th, 2017. Marcuswob is mainly working on the questscripts. Main goal is to have a proper(!) questlog, and tweaking some quest-flow as we find it better/more consistent to play. Also reactivation of unused quests and complementing some unfinished new ones has been and will be done if possible. I am pretty much working on all of the other stuff. (Items, Bosses, Monsters, odds and ends...) This includes unlocking Stuff thats already finished, but did for some obscure reason not make it to the game. That's the easiest part. Completing unfinished items, some legendaries and uniques or the T-energy-sets (= wrappings of mutation. ) takes a lot more time. Also balancing of bosses, items and spells is time consuming and we need a big crew of beta testers! We already fixed and included in the Patch: Unlocking XMAS-Island, Fistweapons, Throwing Potions, New Sets for TG, SW and all other Chars, New Uniques, New Legendaries, New Quests, fixed the "Arkenmarks Refuge" Dungeon, Unlock Items can drop regularly, unavailable Shrinkheads can drop now and various other fixes and additions too numerous to mention all here. Just read a bit in the thread. Before you proceed to Download, there is some legal stuff to mention (you know how it is. ): DISCLAIMER - This is a private, non-profit patch for the amazing Sacred 2 community. Its description can be found in this post. This issue can be resolved by navigating to ...\Sacred 2 Gold\scripts\shared and editing spells.txt with Notepad++. In line 656 where it reads entry0 = {"et_mult_weapondamage", 1000, 0, 0, 9 }, replace 1000 with 1. Save and you're done. Be sure to back up the file prior to editing it. If you have any doubts about it please post in the comments section.
  2. Well there is hope yet! Look! Hello, I'm czevak, a moderator from the german official Sacred 2 Forum. We were able to recode the XMAS-Land from version 2.34 into Ice & Blood v2.65.1. I wonder if you guys could try this mod on the international Version of Ice & Blood, since I think the scripts and pak files should be the same. My Modification should work for SP, LAN and Open Net (XMAS enabled server needed to join, or open your own). (EDIT: *duh* Sorry for the closed/open brainbug confusion) There are two files in the Zip-Archive: xmas-enable.exe to install the modification and xmas-diable.exe to revert to original v2.65.1 (to be able to play closed again). Disclaimer (just to be on the safe side): I am not responsible for any damage to files, characters oder equipment, that may arise from using this inofficial modification.   3. The Community Patch for Sacred 2 Fallen Angel Ice & Blood works with versions 2.65.1 and up. How do I know what Version I have? Marcus wrote a nice little Tool for Sacred 2. It displays the version of the binaries, as well as the registry keys corresponding to your Installation for control purposes. But it does a lot more than that! You can: Run Sacred 2 with various exec flags (like -skipopenal...) just by marking the corresponding checkbox and klicking the start button. Send a refresh signal (Ctrl+F1) to the running game in custom regular intervals. (Just enter a value greater than 0 in the [min] textbox.) TROUBLESHOOTING: The Patcher can't find my Sacred 2 Installation... This is most probably because some Mod or other thing changed your quest.txt in your Sacred 2/scripts/server/ folder. The patcher uses this file to determine the current version. Try to remove the Mod causing this or reinstall/repair your Installation. The Patcher threw an error, what should I do now? If the Patcher threw a file error during the patch process, it means the reported scriptfiles are for some reason changed. I made an s2reset tool to reset all files altered by the cm-patch to the state of Ice & Blood version 2.65.x. Please don't try this on a Sacred 2 Classic installation (without Ice & Blood). For technical reasons it will run and mess up your files!   9. There seems to be some problem with changing bonuses on random amulets and rings going from 0130 to 0140. We are working on it and try to provide a hotfix soon. EDIT: Hotfix is out. Please redownload or wait for the automatic update to pop up.

    New Players and the CM Patch

    It was designed to have something for everyone. Experienced pros will find some new bosses that provide a challenge, but that is really a very minor part of the CM. We did not put those into the path of the main storyline, not to discourage casual or new players as yourself. In point of bugfixing, I highly recomend playing with the CM patch installed, as Marcus got rid of most quest related problems that were the most tedius and annoying. (Failed Quests even if you succeeded, broken chainquests and such things.) Have fun playing Sacred 2.

    Diablo 3 - Open Beta Weekend!

    Girlfriend and I enjoyed playing D2 way back, and finally getting to grips with D3 this weekend was priceless. She played a Wizard and I went for the Barbarian (I want my Paladin back!). It was an instant "feeling home" and quite a lot of fun. Watching the enemies fly and splatter around with the barbarian made me smile a lot. Felt like Serious Sam in places. We got through the beta last evening by finally slaying the Skeleton King. This game is as good as bought. I like how they dealt with the Items scavenging problems. People diving to the one dropped ring was so annoying in D2.

    Dawn simulator

    We actually own one of these: http://sadtherapylamps.com/oregon-scientific-breaking-dawn-sunrise-clock.html It is not bad, but sometimes the stepping of the lightincrease annoys me, as it is noticeable when you are just not quite awake and you get a bit shocked when it steps up a few lux. I would very much prefer a smooth continous increase in light. The snooze trigger is a nice thouch. Just wave your hand in front of the display to stop the radio/audio alarm. The light will stay on however, so that is a bit of a fail. Brightness of the display could be very much darker on the minimum setting. Why did I get this thing again? I also heard of alarm clocks that actually analyze your sleeping movements and choose the best time (ligth sleep phase) to wake you in a given timespace before your absolute get up alarm.
  17. soundprofiles.txt gives you the resources you need to look for, in case of the Inquisitor: event122 = { event = "MUSIC_FIGHT_HARD", resource = 1028 }; event123 = { event = "MUSIC_FIGHT_MEDIUM", resource = 1027 }; event124 = { event = "MUSIC_FIGHT_EASY", resource = 1026 }; These are defined in soundprofiles.txt inside your games locale folder. The corresponding archives with the ogg sounds are there too. Hope you find what annoys you.

  19. Search for the lifeleech granting bonus defines by searching for: BONUS_LIFELEECH The difficultyvaluerange, sets the maximum and minimum values for the bonus in dependacne on the difficulty. Don't bother about the contraints, rank or usagebits. difficultyvaluerange0 = {0,8,16}, <--- first number difficulty 0 = bronze, 1 = silver etc.; second number minimum value; third number max value. Increasing min and max will increase values on freshly found LL items, the ones in the chest or inventory are fixed in the savefile I'm afraid.

  22. We use Acronis True Image at work for our clonign and backup management. It might be a bit overkill if you just want to do this one time and it is not free.

    Its just our CM-Patch internal tool for dealing with the spawns handled in persector.zip. We do not plan to release it to masses.

    No need to do that. You can acess the entire minimap pics by looking into the minimapxx.zip archives in your pak folder. They are all sorted by sectors and dungeon layers. Also you can get the pictures for the enemies and nsc by selecting their Icon from icons.zip by the itemtype number they have assigned in creatures.txt. It is still a lot of work, but there is no need to reproduce work that the devs already have done for you. Maybe you can use the ZIP dll library to directly access the archives of the users game, reducing necessary download. You can ask Pesmontis here on DM per PM how he did that for our internal sector-spawn editor for the persector.zip data. Maybe he can help you out with some source code snippet.
