Sacred 2 Enhanced Edition by Flix Sacred 2 Enhanced Edition (S2EE) is the continuation of the Enhanced Spells mod. Because the scope of the mod now extends well beyond spells, the name has changed. This evolved from my personal mods for playing Sacred 2, as well as from my work on the Community Patch. I decided there were enough gameplay improvements and interesting changes to share it with adventurous players. The mod is a combination of fixes, redesigned balance, and cosmetic changes. S2EE is designed for the player to install one of two core modules: one with the original spells lineup, and another with the Enhanced Spells lineup. The player can then install some optional add-on modules. Currently supported languages: Enhanced Spells Version: English, French, German, Polish, Russian, Spanish. Original Spells Version: All Languages. ================================================= Installation: I HIGHLY advise NEW CHARACTERS or you may have broken quests or other odd quest behavior. Download the Generic Mod Enabler (GME) and install it to your Sacred 2 root folder. Mod Enabler is available at http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Miscellaneous/Generic-Mod-Enabler.shtml For Steam the root folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sacred 2 Gold For GOG or disk version, the root folder is wherever you installed the game, for example C:\Sacred 2 Gold After running the GME once, it will make a folder called "MODS" there. Extract/copy/move the contents of the compressed file into the "MODS" folder. There should be four folders and some documentation (the documentation need not be placed in the MODS folder). S2EE contains two core modules and three optional add-on modules. Choose ONE core module! Either Sacred 2 EE 2.1 - Original Spells OR Sacred 2 EE 2.1 - Enhanced Spells. Do not install both at once. Run the GME and enable your core module. The GME will back up your clean files and will allow to you to easily enable/disable the mod as you wish. - Optional - add-on modules such as Challenge Mode and SuperSpawn may should be installed afterward. One or both can be used in combination with either core module. Classic Icons should only be installed on top of the Enhanced Spells module. Do not install either of the add-on modules without one of the core modules installed first. ================================================== Compatibility: This mod requires Sacred 2 + Ice & Blood expansion with the latest patch (2.65.02) installed (or simply Sacred 2 Gold). This mod additionally requires that Community Patch 1.60 be installed. No previous versions or components of the old Enhanced Spells should be installed. No mods that alter scripts will be compatible with S2EE. This includes: Diablo 2 Fallen, Nude Mods, Boss Arena, Age of Heroes, Survival Mod, Llama's Mod, Wardust's Mods, Dimitrius's Patch Addendum Mods that are known to be compatible: Music Mods, Interface Mods, Main Menu Mods, Reduced Fog, Elite Textures (either official or the unofficial "trimmed" version), and simple texture mods like Eye mod or Grass mod. ================================================= Development (Enhanced Spells module): For detailed list of changes to combat arts, and for pictures and videos, and development info, visit this thread: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/21916-enhanced-spells-mod-sacred-2/ ================================================= SuperSpawn Features: SuperSpawn multiplies the enemy spawn density across the map by a factor of 2-3x. Does not affect bosses or creatures spawned through quests. Respawn rate is not affected. Challenge Mode Features: Critical hit damage increased from 1.2x to 2x times damage. 20% increase of T-Energy damage against the player. Chance for T-Energy to mutate enemies increased by 25%. Max speed in the game quadrupled. The player isn't faster by default, but will benefit from more Run Speed +% gear. Enemies will move faster as well. Enemy aggro range tripled. Aggro range for white (much lower level than player) enemies doubled. Boss aggro range increased by about 10%. Range for clearing the fog of war on the map is tripled (results in more enemies). Cooldown for healing potions is doubled. Slightly lower chance to get runes. Respawn rate remains vanilla (does not use lowered respawn rate from base EE). Enemies gain greater damage from attributes. Overall intensity of enemies increased by 25%. Enemy weapon and spell damage and armor significantly increased (from about 40% on bronze to over 300% on Niobium). ================================================= Known Issues: Not all properties of a Combat Art update dynamically in the CA tooltip text. This is a pre-existing issue in the vanilla game as well. However rest assured that all properties of Combat Arts should be clearly described in the CA description text and will appear (if applicable) in the Sigma bonus overview and/or character overview. Sonic Vortex is missing the visual effect when mounted. No known solution. Dragon's Wrath cannot go into a combo. No known solution. If you find bugs, exploits, or other issues, don't forget to let me know so I can address them. ================================================= Thanks to: - desm for translating the mod to French. - Shadowflare85 for translating the mod to German. - KrystianCzach243r for translating the mod to Polish. - Nikoleagle and LordKomar for translating the mod to Russian. - Deivix for translating the mod to Spanish. - Pesmontis for importing and adjusting several models. - dimitrius154 for doing programming work and other advice. - SX255 for making the new Deathly Spears icon. - Luthal for helping me work out how to handle summoned minions. - Everyone who played the mod and posted feedback. - Gogoblender and Schot for hosting this mod on DarkMatters. - Llama for making his CM Patch Mod and showing me the way into modding Sacred 2 spells.

  3. File Name: Community Items Mod File Submitter: Flix File Submitted: 23 Mar 2014 File Category: Community Patch Community Items Mod v1.2b The Community Items Mod 1.2 is now integrated into the Community Patch 1.50. This download is a small mod that is designed to be installed on top of Sacred 2 Gold + CM Patch 1.50. ================================ Features: 1) The mod restores some item designs that were present in the CM Items Mod 1.2 but were removed for copyright reasons (which are now resolved) when the mod was integrated into the CM Patch. This mod restores their unique designs. Without this mod the items will use generic item models from Sacred 2 (but will still function). The items with changed appearances are: a) Torch of Light b) Axe-Bot 2525 c) Forgotten Technology d) Spear of the Dryads e) The Catalyst f) The Iron Knight g) Earthshaker h) Soulflay Fork 2) The mod also contains a hotfix for an issue with the leg armor of the new Frozen Gems set, which flash and glow due to a script error. The error is corrected with this mod. 3) 1.2b introduces a couple fixes for the Children of Asha Set (left boot mesh spike fix, double cape mesh fix) and a fix for the Doom Guard Set (better cape weights). Updated 2/6/2017. ================================ Installation: 1) It's always best to install Sacred 2 mods with the Generic Mod Enabler (GME). It can save a lot of headaches and frustration. Get it free at http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Miscellaneous/Generic-Mod-Enabler.shtml 2) Install the GME into your Sacred 2 root folder and run it once. 3) Place the "Item Mod 1.2b" folder into the MODS folder created by the GME. 4) Use the GME to activate this mod. If updating from v1.2a: Simply disable the old version with the mod enabler, delete the old folder, then enable the new 1.2b version. Install order is the same. Compatibility with other mods is the same. This mod REQUIRES Sacred 2 Ice and Blood with the latest official patch (2.65.1.0 or 2.65.2.0) plus the latest Community Patch (1.50). ================================ Development threads and more info: New Dragon Mage Sets in Development New Uniques and Legendaries Brainstorming ================================ Thanks to my CM Items Mod team: Silver Fox for overseeing and handling the development of v1.2. Also for his scripting, mastery of the game files, insight into item balancing and planning, attention to detail, encouragement, and his work on textures and reviewing bonuses. His modding expertise and dedication helped to make every little piece of this mod as good as it could possibly be. Pesmontis for his crucial knowledge and tireless efforts in helping to get this project off the ground and completed, and for all his hard work editing textures and models, his kindness and endless patience, and wonderful item contributions. It would not have been possible without him. Special thanks to: Dimitrius154 and LazyTomcat for contributing their amazing work to the mod. Other volunteer testers (Gilberticus, Dragon Brother, SX255). People who offered up suggestions and requests, and contributed ideas and work to the mod: (Dragon Brother, Thorin Oakenshield, Chattius, Giberticus, SX255, Dave-O, Moonpaw). Czevak and Dragon Brother for getting me going with starter tips on what files to edit. LazyTomcat, Wardust, and others who made mods before me so I could follow their example. Gogoblender and Schot for hosting this mod on Darkmatters.org Everyone at Darkmatters who has followed the development of this mod and offered support and encouragement (especially Yoshio). Version

    43 downloads

This chest contains a festive item present in Sacred 2 - the Christmas Cap that is present in game files, but can not drop normally and can be only accessed via modding, or using this chest file. The chest contains the Cap for the six original characters and is compatible with the base game. It is not clear whether the Cap was added in the same patch which adds the Christmas Sets or before it, therefore it's recommended to open this chest with fully patched version of Fallen Angel or Ice and Blood. The information below applies to all versions. Item levels: Bronze difficulty: Level 1 The Christmas Cap has no bonuses and no value besides its looks, so only one version per character was packaged in the chest. Instructions: The chest file should be extracted from this archive and copied to the savegame folder. The location of the savegame folder is given below. 14. This is sort of a sub-project of Community Items Mod. After Silver Fox suggested I check for a shield that appeared in the art book but not in the game, I went and combed through all the game files seeing if there were any other items that were created but not implemented for gameplay. I found some cool things. I compared my findings with the Wiki and assembled a collection of items that aren't documented as common items or as unique/set/legendary. Along the way, I also pulled out several items that are used by NPC's. Everything here has an itemtype ID, but no blueprint or drop chance. I'm going to present this stuff to you in chunks. Part 1 (this post) will be shields. Later will come 2H weapons and then 1H weapons. I'll start with items I'm pretty sure are brand new, I.e., not only are they not available to the player, but even NPC's don't use them. AFAIK they don't appear in the game at all. Below that I'll list some cool NPC-only items that I've unlocked for the player. Unused Shields It's possible some of these are used by NPC's and I just didn't recognize them. Let me know if you recognize them or if they're part of the game and just not documented on the Wiki yet. The names are loosely adapted from the file names. Approximately in increasing order of awesomeness: "Round Shield" Itemype 7613 "Demon Shield" Itemtypes 1120, 1122, 1123, 1124, 1125 "Elf Shield" Itemtype 1153 "Elf Shield 2" Itemtype 1154 "Spike Shield" Itemtype 8188 "Spike Shield 2" Itemtype 11624 "Spike Shield 3" Itemtype 11626 NPC Shields These are some of the unique shields used by various Elves, Humans, Dryads, Lizards, and Orcs. Kite shield with Inquisition logo Another Shield with Inquisition Logo "Mascarell" shield. The good guys around Kufferath castle. Tree is upside down. Mascarell Tower Shield Shield of DeMordrey's Soldiers Dark Army Shield Scorpion shield used by desert guards Oasis shield used by various soldiers around Khorum Lizardman shield Lizardman Shield 2 Only snapped one pic for some reason. Lizardman Shield 3 Blood Dryad Shield (note that it's just an alternate skin of the Impenetrable Protector legendary shield) Goblin Shield Orc Shield Orc Shield 2 Troll Shield (lol) I'd like to implement as many of these as is feasible, so if anything shown here strikes you with an idea, please feel free to share it here or in the New Uniques and Legendaries thread.

  16. File Name: Christmas Cap File Submitter: Silver_fox File Submitted: 24 Dec 2014 File Category: Fallen Angel General Items This chest contains a festive item present in Sacred 2 - the Christmas Cap that is present in game files, but can not drop normally and can be only accessed via modding, or using this chest file. My question is do I have to download any file to increase drop rate for it and if so does my playing buddy also has to download it to be able to play with me? ps: Our survival bonus is at ~70%
  18. Quite a long time ago, LazyTomcat's personal mod introduced several new armor designs to the game. However, as the time passed, this mod became outdated and no longer compatible with the current version of the Community Patch. LazyTomcat decided against updating his mod for the new CM patch, but permitted to use his designs in other mods. The original mod used the new designs as the replacements for the original Fallen Angel aspect sets, but as was previously mentioned in the Item Mod thread, we wanted to make them into entirely new sets, with their own names and bonuses. The following posts would show the results of this work, all of which would be released with the next version of the Item Mod, and probably later integrated with the Community Patch, The first of the LazyTomcat's designs to be presented as a new set is a "Jaguar" armor for the Dryad. It is themed around the big cats and has bonuses that benefit the Ranged Combat-oriented character. The Wild Cat Covered with furry pelts of feline predators, the Dryad Ranger becomes one the most effective hunters of the forest. She can notice the enemies from far away and run after them at amazing speed... ... reading the footprints to track them through the growth and finally shoot them down. The set items were named after distinctive features of various big cats: Helmet: Jaguar's Bite Jaguar has the most powerful bite of all cats. Its jaws can pierce and crack open even the armored reptiles like armadillos and turtles. Chance for critical hits and Chance to pierce modifiers are unlocked by the Ranged weapons skill. Shoulders: Lion's Mane The mane is the best known feature of a lion. In practice, the lions use it as a means of intimidation - the mane helps them to trick the opponent and to appear larger than they are. While the mane makes the lions feel pretty hot, it can act like some armor, and the intimidation tactics causes some enemies to think twice before fighting the lion. Arms: Leopard's Agility Leopards are agile and elusive hunters, known for their abilities in climbing and being capable of impressive jumps both vertically and horizontally. Chest: Lynx' Thick Fur In mythology, lynxes are most known for their eyesight, but as the helmet was named after the jaguar (got to have a jaguar somewhere in the jaguar set), this feline was mentioned for its more mundane quality. Lynxes can comfortably live in the cold regions of Siberia and Canada thanks to their thick fur that protects them from the cold and the wind. This chestplate maintains the fur's qualities and protects the wearer from the elements. Belt: Tiger's Tail Korean and Chinese traditional stories oftenly feature tiger's tail - pulling or grasping this tail, as well as treading on it always leads to very dangerous situations. In some eastern countries there are proverbs and figures of speech with general meaning "as dangerous as treading on tiger's tail". Besides, the belt has tiger-pelt pattern. Opponent's chance to reflect: Ranged modifier is unlocked by the Ranged weapons skill. Legs: Cheetah's Sprint The first thing everybody remembers about cheetahs is that they are the fastest animals on Earth and can chase even the fast-running prey, so of course this feature gets a mention. Having the legs of the cheetah, the Dryad can move an great speed and chase down the enemies who try to evade her. Boots: Cougar's Paws Cats in general are known for their sharp claws that leave infected scratches, but Cougars have claws remarkable even for their kind. For one thing, Cougars are among the few cats that have retractable claws. They also have big front paws, which they use to clutch the prey. With the Cougar's Paws the Dryad can also use the benefits of having sharp claws in addition to her weapons (when unarmed, the Dryad fights with kicks, and with these boots the kicks may deal some good damage). Though Chance to open wounds and Chance to hit additional opponents modifiers are unlocked by the Ranged weapons skill, so only the ranger can enjoy the full bonus of this item. The set bonuses: Bonuses are unlocked for wearing 2, 4, 6 and 7 items. Gallery: The side view features the maple leaf pattern on the belt: The back view with noticeable tiger stripes:

  24. Currently, the wiki has the following standart (sort of) for the item stat pictures: Picture width of 450px GIF file format with as small amount of colours as can be without the picture looking very bad Blue color scheme for the Fallen Angel and I&B items, black for the CM ones. To ensure these points, some editing should be made. Read on for the full (and quite excessive) instruction for making good-looking stat pics. Step 1: Taking Screenshots. Of course, before you start editing the picture, you need to take it. There are few things you can do to make the subsequent editing easier and ensure the quality of the outcome: If you're picturing an item from the original game, it's best to return at least part of the old interface. Go to the "Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\pak" folder, open the "skin.zip" archive and extract the "data\frames" folder to the "pak" directory. You can extract the entirety of the archive and revert all interface to I&B state, but it's not required for making item pics. Launch the game at 1280x1024 (or 1280x800, if that's your display's limit). This ensures that the item stats in tooltips would be dispalyed at suitable scale for turning them into 450px pictures. You can take the screenshots with bigger resolution and then resize them in the graphic editor, but it might make fonts very thin or blurry. Take the screenshots in the clean chest, where no other items are underneath the item tooltip. It would make editing the background out much easier. Step 2: Editing Pictures. I'm a Photoshop user, so I describe the work flow in PS CS2. However, the editing process is simple and can be done in Gimp with equal ease. Maybe the hot keys would be different though. Open the screenshot you've taken and a template background file approptiate for the item. The templates I'm using can be grabbed HERE - included are the files for Fallen Angel and CM items of 1 and 2 square width in the inventory. Select the stats, CNTRL+C, CNTRL+V. You'd get the stats in new layer without other things interfering. Use Magic Wand (Tolerance 10, all other options off) on the empty space. Either hit DELETE, or Inverse Selection + Copy (CNTRL+SHIFT+I, CNTRL+C). In Photoshop "Inverse Selection + Copy" combination gives better result in preservation of font quality, but it might be different in Gimp. Paste or drag the stats to the template. Skip this step for one-square-width items. Align the text with a line I keep as a ruler. Select the text left of the Damage bar and drag it along the ruler line to the left (for about 2 dashes). Deselect. This is because 450px is the in-game width for items with narrow icons but it's better if double-width ones have the same picute size. Move the stats to put the name where the background tells you to. Uncheck the visibility of the Item Name and Ruler layers in the Layer list. Optional. Replace the sockets on the item with the ones from the selection below. It's not mandatory, but sometimes the transparency of in-game windows makes the sockets on the screenshot look pretty checkered and not compress well. If the sockets on your screenshot look good, just skip this step. Select an icon in the original screenshot, drag in into template and fit in the corner. Flatten Image, select and copy the area of your stats. Make new picture (the editor usually automatically sets it the size of clipboard, or select "Clipboard" preset if needed). Paste your stats. Step 3: Saving Pictures. Use "Save for Web" option. Select filetype as GIF. Set GIF options as: Selective palette, No Dither, No Transparency, No Interlace. Surprising, but it gives both the best look and the smallest filesize. Experiment with the number of colours. Set it as the minimum at which the sockets look good and all modifiers are of proper color. usually it's 16 for set bonuses, 32 for jewellery, 64 for socketed items. Some specimens with a lot of differently colored modifiers can require 128. Press save, enter the name and you're done. It all is actually very fast to do. This guide is long only because I tend to over-explain things when I write guides. Though I hope that everybody would be able to understand it even without special knowledge of the graphic editors.
