New Sacred 2 [D.a.r.k] Roster

Alrighty then. So I think we need to make ourselves a bran spankin new roster. Something shiny and most importantly... Something easy for me to edit! Presently our roster is in the form of a jpg which I edit with photoshop and edit whenever someone new comes on board but lately it's become apparent that the jpg roster just ain't gonna cut it anymore. Soooo, we need a O so special webpage just for us I think. I've been sitting on this project for a loooong time. Mostly because I'm planning to upgrade the forum to the new and improved software. Which is STILL in beta. Ugh. Moving right along. We need that new roster now so without further adou here's the basic idea.

 

We'll have two columns for Full Fellowship clan mates of Sacred 2. Each clan member will have their own rectangular container of various relative info. I'm not sure how complicated it's going to be but for now we'll just work with the basics. Name, avatar, title(when required) and a link to your account page on the Sacred 2 ladder which will allow people to check what characters you have and the names of them. The ladder link should help a lot to learn each of our characters names so we don't have to embarass ourselves, haha. nothing worse than being on a server full of people and asking someone with the [D.a.r.k] tag on; "Ummm... Who are you?".

 

Oh! One more thing I want to add to each of your info boxes. This is where you all get involved. I'd like each of you to write a lil something to describe your "gamer self" if you will. basically 3-4 sentence intro of you but in the most unbelievably awesome kinda way. have fun with it. Don't be modest. Write as though you are the single best thing in Ancaria. Like you're writing about some kind of hero. Doesn't have to be an old fashioned "good" hero. A force to be reckoned... Write in 1st person, 2nd person or 3rd person perspective. If you have a hard time with writing you could always post here and get some help.

 

 

I wrote a quick one for myself and I'll likely change it but I think I've got a nice base to work with. I started by thinking about my name, Schot, and what it could mean. I googled "famous quotes" to give me ideas and then I thought about my play style and even threw in some words from a couple of my character names.

A "shot in the dark" takes a whole new meaning... There may be a great deal of guess work going on under this scheming mind but you can be sure that once Schot gets his destructive devices in place none shall escape his bolts of terror.

The show's on, there's hell to pay and the scourge of Ancaria are all invited. Those who dare...

 

 

 

 

Once I see a few I'll put a sample web page together. For now I'll simply create a text list of our Sacred 2 Full Fellowship mates to get the ball rolling.

Schot, any way to let us edit that text box aspect? So that we're the ones writing it in/changing it should it ever need changing? Or the software setup in such a way that you'd have to do it for everyone?

 

Other than that, sounds like a lot of fun/cool thing.

That would be the best if I can create access of some sort for you guys. Less work for me that way. ^^ There's a few ways to do it. Easiest I think would be for me to create a new profile field here on the forum. That way you guys could type it into your profile and could then be imported into the new roster. I could probably build it out of elements from the profile structure here on the forum. Or just create a login for the roster itself... I'll look into that Zin. If you have a suggestion though feel free.

 

My mind works in ways even I don't understand but hear me out on this... Metal max.. TG... TG is metal... Max is a great name for a puppy. I don't know how much or how fond you are of the TG's max but you could choose to write yourself as a TG. Your name and the TG seem perfect together as an intro to you on the roster. I like what you've written but you can afford to be much more bold! You use the words dedicated(to protect? guardian or maybe... TG!) and fun(Kind). So it looks as though you've kind of already written yourself as a TG. I'd suggest you add more dazzle. Something to portray you will, Max will, risk his life to protect. How far or how much would max do to protect and ensure Ancaria remains fun?

 

Just shooting out ideas there. Oh and for sure I want you guys to be able to change and improve your roster intro whenever you want. I'm sure I'll end up changing mine many times until it's "perfect".

Putrescine? You want someone else to write yours? I'm shocked! I've always loved the way you write and think you could do a knock out job. But no problem. If anyone is willing to write for others that is perfectly fine.

With letters scorched into the earth among crumpled bodies of the battlefield one could almost make out the words: "Arperum was here."

 

I was inspired for whatever reason by that line of yours Arp. ^^ Every so often things just come to mind. I'll try and help out as best I can with anyone elses.

 

Great intro Viper. I really like it but I think "slithers" doesn't do you justice. How about "lurks"?

 

 

Oh boy Knuckles. I can imagine you have too many ways to go with yours. What with your history and all. Poooor Justin... Throw something down here and we'll help Knuckles.

 

P.s.

It just so happens that the length of the intro for mine and Arp's seem to be perfect for the roster. So please make your intros with the same amount of words/characters and then I'll add them to the roster.

A mysterious hero, liberating the Ancarian lands of the forces of evil. Pillaging Kobolds run in fear, or try to kill him en masse: Timotheus is the greatest fear of all who spread havoc in Ancaria. Armed to the teeth he will slaughter everything in his path, and if his foes don't die in a single blow... Well, his psych-babble will surely finish them off.
