Changes to Signature Rules - Images now allowed!

Dear Community,

 

Ever since the start up of the Sacred International Forum (SIF) we have had rules on what is, and is not, allowed in signatures. The rules were designed to make the forum as accesible as possible so that even those with poor internet connection or dial up users would be able to access and read the forums without waiting ages for a page to load because of the signatures people were using.

 

We've recently reviewed the forum rules and have decided to change the current limit of 4 lines of text and no images.

 

The new signature rules will be as follows:

 

* Maximum of 4 lines in total which may include 1 signature image and/or text

* Maximum size of image: 400x100 and 300kb in size

* tags are not permitted in signatures.

* Animated images (Gif's) are not permitted in signatures.

 

In order to use a signature image you will need to load one via your User CP ----> edit signature ----> either enter the URL to an image on another website or browse for an image from your PC.

 

The use of pornographic, racist, sexist images is not permitted and is an instant banable offense without warning.

 

Abuse of images in signature will also result in the facility being removed once more.

 

If you see an image that is offensive please PM a member of the forum staff who will review the image in question.

 

For those who do not wish to use or see other people images in signatures you are able to edit your profile to stop them being displayed. This is done as follows:

 

User CP ----> Edit Options ----> Thread Display options ----> untick the "show Signatures" box.

 

We hope that you add images to your profile and look forward to seeing some fantastic artwork appearing soon!

cool now I can bug Schot to fix my sig again...I somehow lost my "Come to the Dark side, we have cookies" sig a while back but never bothered to find it again

I'm dying to get a sig going, I know many of you must as well. I tried out one of the D.a.r.k sigs there, but it didn't seem to work, or came out a bit wonky.

 

Tried it on GSF and it worked there perfectly though.

 

Anyone know what's happening here?

if its animated it wont work...animated sig pics are still not allowed due to size restrictions and the loading time impact on people that use dial up. Hey I did my best but at the moment static pics is all I could get clearance on. If people behave and don't take advantage I'll see about Gifs,
