Schot 407
Updated: As mentioned by our fellows below the most effective means to resolve the log in issue is to change your password. You can do this by following the below steps: Go to the Log in page Click on the "I've forgotten my password! Click here!" link In a few minutes check your email for a message from the forum and follow instructions Once you have received a new password test it by logging in. If you do not like the password the forum gave you you can change it in your "My Controls". Easiest way to get to the page that allows you to change your password is from the below link: Change Password (This link will only work AFTER you have recieved a new pass from the forum and have logged in.) Hey there fellow darkies and all. Recently, yesterday and today, we had problems with logins. I've made some adjustements to how the login functions work here on the forum and wiki which from my side seems to have resolved the issue. For anyone having problems logging in the only thing I can suggest at the moment is that you first leave darkmatters, make sure you do not have darkmatters loaded and visible on any browser, and then clear your browsers cache and cookies. I would suggest you do this twice actually. Once after reading this post, then shut down your browser, restart your browser and clear the cache and cookies again. Just to be sure. See you all on the other side! P.s. I'm seeing that some of you are getting locked out from too many login attempts. Whenever I see you guys getting locked out I'm unlocking you as fast as I can! Another thing you can do that is working for members who posted below is to change your password from the login screen. Click the "I've forgotten my password! Click here!" link and follow the instructions. Link to comment

Silearth 6
I always have to out-do everyone; my problems have to be more complex. I forget when I joined at the moment, but I used my main email address. Not really a good idea as we change internet providers frequently. And of course I forgot that I used that, now invalid, email address. After two days I resorted to creating a temp account so that I could contact Schot and ask for help. I'm going to have to go through all of my accounts in other places and make sure I am using my gmail account; this is the second time this has happend. Link to comment

Spock 271
... a number that long is too long for me to remember .... All my passwords look like that, don't yours!? I have different passwords for every online place I visit and they're all different. Isn't that the best way to make sure we're safe? Link to comment
