Sacred 2 - Quest Research

Zeno

Recommended Posts

Hi all. That's it, I have some doubts, questions, etc. about quests, and as far as I won't play Sacred 2 with 4 chars at a time, maybe we can organize to find out several information about quests. F.I., I will start a Light Path char, and I will play with it in multiplayer mode. In this topic, I can ask for anyone who plays Light Path single player to know whether a quest is SP or MP, and I can also ask other people who play SP/MP in Dark Path (despite I have been recently playing in dark MP). I hope you like the idea of resolving quest doubts by this way.

So, here it comes the first battery of doubts. I will post quest name and the info I know or I am looking for, and we all can say true or false, or suggest/answer it by posting here. Here we go:

Chapter 1

  • Bruno The Teddy Bear (west Thylysium, giver name Tamara): Light only quest
  • Squatters (centre Thylysium): Shadows only quest
  • Lethal Escort (center Thylysium): Shadows only quest
  • Redemption: Light only chain quest
  • Fresh Gladiators: Dark only chain quest
  • Intercept Delyme: Dark only quest
  • The Thieves of the Elven Capital: Light and dark versions (same chainquest different quests inside)
  • Blind Guardian: SP only
  • Protecting Noriath's Corner: Light only chain quest
  • Powers in Noriath’s Corner: Dark only chain quest
  • Impure hands: Light only quest
  • Purification of the temple: Light only quest
  • Heir by Murder: Light and dark versions (same chainquest different quests inside)
  • Help for Lawaon: Light only chain quest
  • The Prodigal Son: Light only chain quest
  • The slave driver: Light only chain quest
  • Slaves: Dark only chain quest
  • The shadows of the seraphim: SW only? Kuan?
  • Brothers in Arms (Wester TyrLysia portal): class/deity quest? only SW? only Kuan?
  • Whoops (Noriath Temple, near Griffin): Deity quest: LUMEN or SERAPHIM?
  • Alchemy? It's Chemistry! (Small lake directly north of Thylysium): DRYAD or KYBELE?
  • Settlement from the Grave (Big dome in Thylysium): HIGH ELF or FORENS?
  • Mugged: Should be Muggers? Are different quests?

Chapter 2

  • Finally Rich: Different light/shadows
  • Desecrated Goddess (East of Trallheim Manor): Kybele
  • Desecrated God (A little further East of 'Desecrated Goddess' quest): Lumen
  • Desecrated Gods (South of Kufferath Castle): Kuan

So, if anyone can confirm/refuse this information, or can make any suggestion to it, please, answer! :drinks:

This can help me a lot to organize properly links in the side quests hub page. Thanks all!

Cheers,

Zeno :drinks:

EDIT: List updated! - ORANGE are unknown/not sure - GREEN are confirmed by someone - STRIKED GREEN are updated in the wiki

Pretty sure that the Finally Rich quest is only different in the person you deliver the information to. In Shadow, you sell it to a rival. In Light, you deliver it to the brother.

I'm doing a bit of questing and was wondering if you want me to list some of the class/deity specific quests I come across. It might save you some time figuring out which class or deity activates quest. For example

Quest: Whoops

Location: Noriath Temple in NW High Elf (near Griffin)

Class/Deity: Seraphim or Lumen (not sure which unlocked it, tested with a seraphim that had Lumen)

Quest: Brothers in Arms

Location: Rebirth shrine next to Western Tyr Lysia portal in High Elf region

Class/Deity: Shadow Warrior or Kuan

Also on the quests you want checked, could you give a location for quest giver...would make it soo much easier to check :)

Well for Whoops. My SW and TG never got that quest, both Lumen.

For Brothers in Arms, when I was in Shadow MP. The SW I was with got it, though he also had Kuan.

Thanks Knuckles, any quest info/listing you want to provide will be welcome. I'll add a section for class/deity specific quests in the top topic.

For the Brothers in Arms, I've in my seraphim's logbook, but the mission appears as failed! That makes me think more of a MP server bug, cause I remember it as a SW class quest. Let's wait to see if more people have played this quest with other char/deity.

Anyway, as a reference (one more), I've captured my MP chars logbooks (a seraphim and a SW), and I've got them in a bucket account. You can check them HERE.

Thanks guys. Updating listing above...

Fresh gladiators does have two different versions, in light you have to free a gladiator but in dark you have to gather them from the village near to Old Naval Port, and then arrange papers for them. It does have different quest givers though.

Thanks Colif. I suspected it but wasn't sure. List updated!

I have another sw who did most of the light campaign quests, next time I load him I will get all his quests too so I can work out which quests change. Will be nice to compare the two and see which are light/dark only.

Bruno The teddy Bear is a light quest, Squatters and Lethal Escort are shadows quests :).

@Colif: That's a good idea, but beware my chars still have some missions to do, they are MP only, and some of the quests appear to be a little buggy.

@Chloé: Thx, thx, thx!

Quest: Alchemy? It's Chemistry !

Location: Small lake directly north of Thylysium

Class/Deity: Dryad or Kybele

Quest: Settlement from the Grave

Location: Big dome in Thylysium

Class/Deity: High Elf/Forens

This quest may be bugged. As soon as my High Elf spoke with quest giver, quest completed in logbook even though no tasks were completed. Will keep looking around and see if just logbook is bugged (no quest marker visible either)

Just as a note, my test toons are currently set up as follows:

seraphim/Lumen

High Elf/Forens

Dryad/Kybele

Temple Guardian/Testa

Shadow Warrior/Kuan

Inquistor/Ker

I can narrow down quests to either which class or Deity if needed. Would just mean remaking toons a lot and restarting Campaign mode

Hey, I could be wrong but is the Bruno the Teddy Bear the quest were you get the little kid's bear in the cave with all the other brown bears you have to fight? I only bring this up because I'm playing as an Inquisitor and I could have sworn I did that quest.

No, you go into Thylysium's sewer and find a stuffed teddy bear

I think that one you say is the tutorial relics: "Playing with Bears". Bruno the Teddy Bear happens in Thylysium, and you find the teddy bear in the sewers.

@Knuckles: Thanks for these two. I'll put in the list tomorrow: now I'm too asleepy for it :)

Quest: Whoops

Location: Noriath Temple in NW High Elf (near Griffin)

Class/Deity: Seraphim or Lumen (not sure which unlocked it, tested with a seraphim that had Lumen)

Just ran a quick test from my beta on this one. It appears to be Seraphim. Was able to receive this quest playing a Seraphim with Forens and Kybele. Campaign only though. The quest isn't offered in free play.

Thanks Knuckles, added to the list.

Btw I've changed the "confirmed" by a colour code: orange not confirmed, green confirmed by someone. Hope it's cleaner and easier to read.

The opposite quest to Fresh gladiators is called Redemption. Here are its steps:

Redemption

• Mysterious client

• Kidnapped Husband

• Paying the price

It can be found in the area in between the circular building (parliament, whatever) and the area that looks like an armed camp.

I am going through the listings of dark and comparing them to light in chapter 1. I haven't done the Northrend quests yet.

Oh, and on my original list I sent in, Cleaning Shop may actually be Clearing ship, I will look at screen shots again.

Thanks Colif!
