colif 36
I would think marking them light or dark only would be better or people would have to look at every quest to see if it is for them. Is it possible to have a toggle that only shows light or dark campaign quests? I know them by now but it would help. I seem to be 30 quests short this time in light. but I haven't finished all of the dryad ones yet. BY tomorrow night I will have finished gold and only quest I won't bother with is ascaron staff quest. It just wastes to much time. Edited July 23, 2009 by Colif Link to comment
nilihanth 0
This project makes me giddy! This is super awesome and very very useful Looking at all those "?" on the map fills me with joy Good work folks! Link to comment
Schot 407
Your maps have already provided so much help Colif. I certainly wouldn't want you going bonkers with Free Play questing, haha. Easy enough for me and anyone else to simply go into the game and check them out. Looks like I'll need to create a Shadow character. Doh! The comment I made about the Fisher's Wife was more or less an observation for me to note and learn from. Since your doing so much marking Jermane I'll see about double checking the quest modes. Something I'm thinking will work regarding the chosen category for the marker is if it can be found in SP and online Campaign then I'll categorize those as Campaign. Quests that are only in SP will get the SP category. Light Only and Shadow Only markers have been added. Kinda forgot those at the start, heh. Since I have the easiest access to the markers, all on one page, I'll see about making the icon changes needed as I come across them but feel free to make a list for me if you guys happen to know of some. A toggle for Light only and Shadow Only might be too late for these maps but for the next ones I think I can do that. Granted, I don't think there is going to be a lot of them and now that we have the 2 new icons, see icon table in first post, we may be ok as is. The Tyr Lysia will be the perfect test to see what works and doesn't. Thanx guys! This is going great. I share your excitement nilihanth! P.s. Here's our progress so far! Link to comment
Slayer89 0
I'll add some quest that are missing around the Bluestone Lake and a few that I dont see on the other map, later today when I get some time. Link to comment
Jermane 0
I think I have gotten most of them covered in the Western portion from a TG/Light campaign, I am sure I don't have any that are shadow only, or any of the other class/quest types. Eastern I have gotten all but 1 in Thylysium (can't remember where Dispossessed quest chain started from memory) once again from a TG/Light campaign. I went back and cleaned up the link names so that they layout better. BTW anyone who wants to not have to go to page 23 for access to the icons, just register at Maplib, go back to Schot's first post, right click on an icon you need "save image as" and save it to your desktop. Then go to Maplib and click the my pictures link, click the upload icons button, browse for the image, uncheck the share as public box, and then click the OK button (it appears in chinese for some reason for me, but it's all good), then they show up as your own icons. Rinse repeat a few times, and you have the most used icons pretty fast. Other tips, when you copy and paste a link into Maplib, it is still fully editable, without affecting where the link sends you, so feel free to dress up the names by deleting the unimportant stuff. Also, the quest location markers are drag/droppable, so if you make a mistake and need to move one, or find one out of position, it is a quick fix. Jerm Link to comment
Slayer89 0
Not sure on the locations of these, but they're in Thylysium or right outside: Squatters Cleaning House Serving the Inquisition Both versions of the quest about the gladiator owner Link to comment
colif 36
There should be a quest marker at Noriath Temple as there are quests that starts there in Light campaign. My light maps may be missing a few quests, I might load an earlier light character who has more done and compare what I am missing, as I failed a few this time (ok, some were broken). Jermane 0
I filled in the ones I was missing up near Noriath temple, I fully explored that area before, so no clue how I happened to miss those couple obvious quests I am working over near Sonnewind and Teardrop Hamlet now, and should have those wrapped up today if all goes well. Finished up Sonnewind and Teardrop Hamlet, as well as Blessed Rock Manor for a TG/Light single player. Edited July 24, 2009 by Jermane Link to comment
colif 36
Tell me when you need next zone, I will load my guys back into gold for screenshots. I suspect my light maps are missing a few quests, as I only did 551 in light gold and yet I did 581 in Dark gold... I know I failed a few quests but not 30. Link to comment
Schot 407
Thanks Colif. Will do! I haven't been at this for a few days due to mere bad luck, bad timing. Every time I planned to tackle this one either maplib was down or the Sacred 2 servers were, lol. Sheesh... I'm going to have a scan over the Tyr Lysia maps and then I'll be making the next batch of maps available for marking. They're already up on maplib. I just need to throw the switch! It'll be three maps for Artamark, the Human region. East, Central and West. Link to comment
Jermane 0
Looks good. I should be able to get back to marking them up either tomorrow or Wednesday. Spent all weekend moving into the new house, so hopefully things will quiet down here and I can get back to marking them up. Edited July 27, 2009 by Jermane Link to comment
colif 36
I was wrong with my max quests, it is 570, not 580. That is with 2 quests I didn't try as they just suck. I can't think of one of them but the other is a quest in desert to help a woman write her book and rescue her dog from a cave. I have never been past stage 2. Seriously, someone may have to do Desire for Unity in bronze just to get the story line, the npc's in that quest are just insane. Link to comment
Schot 407
Gratz on your new home Jermane. So max quests is about 570. I'm guessing the total will be greater with other class related quests included in the count? I'll give that Desire for Unity a try Colif. Where does that one begin? As for the next batch of maps I'm going to wait until Monday. I'd like to go over the Tyr Lysia markers and see if some need editing. Specifically whether some are SP/Campaign only. Really nice work guys. The Tyr Lysia maps look awesome! Link to comment
Jermane 0
Thanks Schot, we actually bought it back in June and we have been fixing it up the last month, so it was about time to move in. I know all the ones I did were done in SP/Campaign mode. I am going back now with a HE Forens Shadow character, and have checked about half the quests in Western Tyr Lysia. Do you think we should change the Character Used to All when we verify that the quest is available regardless of Class/Deity/Campaign status? Should be able to continue to plug away at these over the week, including changing some of the icons as I come across them. Link to comment

Would make sense, but that will come later as it will take alot of characters to go through the quest to verify that. I would say that if a quest is available to two different Classes/Deity then it would be safe enough to assume that it may be marked as available to All until proven differently. As for those quests that were done in SP/Campaign my biggest concern is if those quests will also be available in Free Play mode. Most will be available in Free Play but there are some which are exclusive to SP/Campaign and then further still exclusive to SP. That's something I plan to look at. Oh and changing the marker icons where needed. That will be fun. Link to comment
Jermane 0
I have been changing most of them to Light/Shadow that are Light/Shadow only as I go back over them with a Shadow character. I will keep plugging away at them. Link to comment
Jermane 0
Over onto a second page of markers in Western Tyr Lysia... Should be most of the Shadow/Light only quests marked, and the Temple Guardian/HE ones as well, may have missed a couple, will have to go over it in greater detail tomorrow. Jermane 0
Over onto a second page of markers in Eastern Tyr Lysia as well. Still have a lot more to check on the shadow character, and at least a dozen more that I know need to be added. Link to comment

Jermane 0
Thanks Gogo. Thank Schot though, his maps make it possible. Finished up Shadow in Thylyssium and surrounding areas. Basically Black Rock Manor and west should be done Shadow/Light, HE/TG. I know I am still missing some around bluestone lake and the dig site up north. Will fill them in soon though. Link to comment

We'll make do. I'm hoping this will only happen on the Tyr Lysia maps. Sooo many quests in that area. Link to comment
colif 36
About 142 quests in 1st region, and I can be on 328 quests by time I reach Gar'Colussus, so the number of quests in next region is higher, but then the map is larger, and there are more blank spaces (though these may have non sw class quests in them, I will be interested to find out).. I assume we are doing human region separately to Orc region. Link to comment
