Guide to AFK Experience - By xs0u1x

Recommended Posts

requirements:

shadow warrior(haven't tried this with any other character yet)

high defense

high hit point regeneration

reflective emenation

grim resilience(optional, but nice to have on you)

in the forrest right out side of Grunwald Cave Dragon location, there are human mobs that summon elementals that will attack you. keep reflective emenation up, and make sure your health is regenerating too fast for the elementals to do any real damage. stand in the middle of a crowd of these human summoners, and just let the elementals attack while RE mows them down. any additional mobs will be killed by RE, discovered this doing a solo boss run on the dragon in gold difficulty. the summoners will not attack you themselves, but will keep summoning elementals.

with my normal equipment on and stats, I have 4040 armor, 6.2k hp, and 132/s hit point regeneration. at level 50 in gold difficulty these mobs do not budge my health one bit.

Hmmm, could this be a good way to increase SB while we're out eating?

:D

gogo

hah, you will have 500% SB in notime then. :)

:)

Does this mean that Gogo eats all the time? For myself I do hard with the french language and I can never decide if I am a gourmet or a gourmand or both.

12:00, time for lunch at work. Something tasty like 'Handkäs mit Musik' today because its hot and close to a thunder storm - and a glass of apple wine. I like to live in a barbaric nation and then in the most barbaric state of it, fear our cuisine.

If you go up two levels whilst being afk you wont get the added 10% or however much it is from spending the first levels attribute points....if you get what I mean.. :D

Spending attribute points does not make you earn more attribute points on level up. Each character class earns a set amount of attribute points in each stat (that are automatically distributed) and some that can be freely distributed at levelup regardless of whether the attribute points you are free to distribute from previous levels have been spent or not.

Thus, if you compare a character who spends every point in vitality after each levelup to a character who never spends attribute points until level 200 and then adds all their points to vitality, the 2 characters will have the same amount of points in vitality (and other attributess).

Thanks for that reply. I was fixing to add one of my own that would have been, shall we say, "less diplomatic"? Some misinformation is understandable but this was just silly...

I read somewhere (might have been on the wiki) that when you level up you get an extra 10% or so added to the attribute, cos I remember something saying to spend attribute points as soon as you get them but skill points you don't have to.

Actually now I come to think of it (and after looking at the wiki page for attributes) It may have been on a build guide

You get 10% of your base attributes with each level up, let's say you had 30 vitality at level 1 so that means that you will get 3 vitality with each level up for free if you want to call it that.

Always question what people say, especially if they don't provide any evidence to back up their claims.

I've been playing RPGs and ARPGs since the days of the original Gauntlet and I don't recall even one game that gave you additional atrribute points upon leveling up and went on to reward you with more free points if you spent those points each level. The whole concept just sounds outlandish.

If that were so I'd just take it a step further and use a higher level shopper to find me some +xx stat gear and socket that into my starter suit and thereby get even more free points each level...and this is probably why you'll never see such a mechanic in a game, it can be seriously exploited to great measures.

Then again, we are talking about the same guys who allowed you to obtain the skill mastery bonuses with just 75 soft points instead of hard points at first so you never know what to expect from this game lol.

But always question what anyone says, especially in build guides. Better to have them throw the answer in your face and everyone responding with "Ohno he jus didnt!" than to walk around playing a character that you don't really understand the workings of.

75 points to have the in-combat HP regen.

EDIT: Scratch that as I thought you were asking how many points that is needed to get to mastery...

Nope  Just saying if it was necessary.

While I'm here: Whats the lowest level I could start doing this? The first post is extremely vague on the specifics.

Hard to say as it all depends how defensive your build is, if you equip alot of HP regen gear you should be able to start doing this in the level 30's.

Just be sure to take Armor Lore/Toughness/Constitution before trying out this as those skills would help out a great deal here.

Its just a nice place to go AFK, its not a way to do power levelling :D

If you don't really go afk and just stand there instead, you could hit a mentor potion while you are there. Every little bit counts.
