Confused about Regen Time for High Elf

So, lemme see here... I am new to Sacred 2 and am playing on the 360. I've made a Shadow Warrior, a Dryad, and now I have a High Elf. The one I'm concerned with is the High Elf, but understanding this stuff would seriously help with my other characters too. My High Elf, at level 20 now, has her attributes set (in order from top to bottom) 57, 82, 68, 65, 137, and 87. Stamina is 82, and it says my regen time is 322.2%. I'm wearing all kinds of armor that gives negatives for regen time, I have Arrant Pyromancer Lore at 18, and the Focus at 16. I haven't picked up any other aspect focuses just yet, because I'm attempting to follow "The self-sufficient High Elf" build in the High Elf guide section. My question is, what's the best way to get my regen time down, and what in the heck does that 322% mean? I have a higher stamina than ever and I remember my regen time at one point being somewhere around the realm of 87%. Oh, I also have Concentration at 7 right now, and Armor Lore at 3. I'm not quite sure how to distribute points really, but I want to be able to spam Blazing Tempest eventually...

My regen time for Blazing Tempest is 9.7s right now, and Fireball's at 3.0s (which I think is pretty decent). I'm just confused. There are so many terms in this game that aren't clarified very well, and there doesn't seem to be much help within the game - aside from a few friendly players who take pity on a somewhat pitiful n00b :) As such, I hope there are some of those friendly players on here, able to clarify this question for me, and thanks ahead of time.

To start things off: Regeneration times are based of a "regeneration speed", rather than a timer. The regeneration speed for each aspect is displayed when you mouse over the name of the aspect in the Combat Art pane. The average regeneration speed of all three aspects is displayed when you mouse over your Stamina. So in your case, you have an average of 322.2% increased regeneration speed.

In order to reduce your regeneration times you should continue placing points in your regeneration reletad skills and pick the right gear. Wearing gear that provides negative regen is a good idea, but you should be on the look out for gear that provides regeneration benefits in other ways, such as +All skills, + to specific regeneration skills and pure -%regeneration time. It is also adviced that you make sure not to get to much +Combat Arts on your gear, as that will hamper your regen. I also would advice you to NOT place any points in Stamina. You will be swimming in good regen at higher levels.

Lastly, if you are in a hurry to reduce your regeneration times, read alot of Grand Invigoration runes. Grand Invigoration provides only beneficial stats, so just read until you are happy with the regen provided or you run out of runes. Consider picking up Delphic Arcania Focus to increase the value of each rune you read and get modification points for regeneration mods on the same buff.

Thanks for that in depth resposne. So, the regen time for my Stamina is actually saying that I'm regening 322% faster. Interesting. I realized recently that I can pretty much spam fireball as fast as I can cast it - which, I have to work on a bit, because my casting time isn't all that quick. You mentioned Grand Invigoration (GI) - I've memorized pretty much as many runes as I can, and have a bunch of combat art + on my equipment, so it's already above the "level without penalty" level by quite a few. I did just pick up Delphic Arcania Focus in order to fix my (GI) a bit, and allow myself to mod it. Again, I'm following the instructions of 2 of the builds on here that are very similar, and the differences between the two allow me to pick which direction I want to go.

These are the two I'm following:

I started just following the second one, the self-sufficient High Elf. Then I saw Kat's build, and now I'm using that one and comparing it with the other one. So far it feels like they're both very helpful, as was your advice. Thanks a lot, by the way. Things make a lot more sense now.

Since you're on the 360 I'm not sure if you get all the tool tips that are available on the PC, but basically like said earlier the stamina tool tip is the average regen time of all three aspects. If you mod GI at bronze and are using a fire or ice buff then one aspect will be faster.

Regen math can be done with access to the game's files. Basically with fireball it has a base regen time of 3 seconds at level 0. For each rune you read you add 1.5 seconds. I believe +combat arts will only add half of that, meaning +1 fireball to you're level one HE would make the regen 5.25 seconds, before armor penalties and attributes.

A brand new high elf has a starting fireball regen of 4.4 so this math is sound.

3.0+(2*1.5)+(1* 0.75)/( 1+ 3.222) = 1.1
Base Memmed	Item Regen
Regen Level	Boni Bonus

This formula assumes 2 runes read, 1 from items, and your 322.2% average regen bonus.

This may or may not be an overly complicated answer to your question

Edit-- Stuff doesn't line up right at all on a cell phone...

I have a question if your Fireball is at 3.0 sec and Blazing Tempest is at 9.7 sec. How many runes did you read?

I am wondering the same thing. At level 20 my Pyromancer has under 1 second fireball. I modded the skin and invigoration first thing to get regen down fast.

I am guessing either he read a few runes or didn't mod for faster regens.

Sigan, not sure what mods you took or buffs you are using. For grand invigoration there are two mods to lower regent time, one for Pyromancer and one general. The Pyromancer skin buff also can be modded for lower regeneration, I recommend using both.

I know people say don't put points in stamina and I am not sure why though, I am guessing it is for the long run. At level 50 my mage that I went mostly stamina for does a lot more damage than my mage I went all int with. Both with .6 second fire balls, the int one damage is in the 3000 range while the stamina is 6000. I need to compair their gear for the plus skills and combat arts though, the stamina one has bargaining while the int one does not (still in good gear but I don't think as much plus skill, but also doesn't have points spent in bargaining)
