Various quests will not work if you have not patched

I have failed the quest únexpected news', and when you fail, the fiancee says she will join you to die fighting.

she did, but now, every time I start the game again, she's respawned!

even stranger, when I save on my horse and then start the game, she first isn't there, untill I dismount and enter a cave.

anybody know how to get rid of her?

When I arive at the scene of the quest there is nothing there. No item on the ground, no enemy to kill, no cave to enter, nothing. saving and loading doesn't work.

So far this has happened with "days gone by', and 'sapless potions'

The description is still in the logbook, unfinished.

Just needed to patch my game

Patching the game solved the problem.

Glad it's all working again and thanx for letting us know Rathmiron. I've changed the topic title here from "Quests are not working" to something more descriptive.
