Nameless Guardians' Hidden Treasure

I was surprised to see this, and delighted as usual with the depth of Sacred 2's game... last night when I was playing with Spunky after rounding up flame-bearing masses in the new Ice and Blood Expansion, he started firing at the central machine after we had begun doing boss run and finished off the Guardians.

 

Guardians went off well, and after their dust was settling I was going through my goodies when Spunky started firing over and over at the central machine ...I joined in (yes us video gamers are all lemmings ) And after six or seven seconds got bored and then went back to sorting out my goodies in my stash.

This was a surprise to me and noone's ever done this. Spunky says Woody mentioned this and it could only be done if the machine is hit with leech.

 

Is this true, only leech? And is this because the machine's hp are so HUGE that only leech has a chance of bringing it down in a reasonable amount of time?

 

And has this hidden treasure been here since before Expansion?

Spunky mentioned it on SIF, so last run through on campaign I tried to shoot machine after killing guardians and before handing in quest, but I didn't have any life leech on me. So it seems LL is the key to hitting it.

Testing it quickly now, I could only do it with ranged attacks that had life leech. The Heart of the Machine as it was called only had 20k health vs the 130k guardians. So maybe it can block everything but Lifelleech which is unresisted by damage mitigation right?

Yes. I didn't test if it also works with leech per hit (not %) but it would cost a lot of time.

The machine has much less hp than the guardians but it doesn't matters when using leech. Maybe it has total damage migitation.

It's impossible to kill it in Campain, I don't really know why.

I use this trick since 2.43 version of the game, and had dropped a looot of good uniques in it.

There was conjecture that this new mod was only half of leech... the damage part... would this be able to kill the heart?

 

Again, I was surprised at how much this give away leaves... do you guys think it has the same chance to drop stats as the guardians?

 

 

It`s like five great drops instead of four now.

Are you refering to Direct Damage? If so I'm with you on this one. Used it a bit with my Shadow Warrior. I don't have any hard facts but I did notice I was steady hitting for more damage each hit than without the Direct Damage.

I think the "egg" has a equal drop rate as a normal boss, have found a decent amount of sets & uniques from it but no legendary yet.

 

Will have to check out if Direct Damage can damage it when I take my next run.

That`d be cool if direct damage could take it out...and finally...we get a cool `confirmation`of what directdamage does if it works.

And I had to ask Woody this question" how do you pick up the loot, since you can't reach it with your pick up all ring?" ALT - left click does the trick. I felt like the first day I had the

PC game and had to pm Gogo to ask "how do you trade?"

Actually I got a unique as well, stalwarth safeguard running the guardians with you last night spunky.

Have you tried it? If the secret treasure has existed before expansion it should work for you.

It was stated that this was present before the expansion, so I would have to assume that it is possible for us.

 

Collecting the drops may not be possible, though... we don't have an Alt-button... 8(

Surely there must be a way... something that can be figgered out for functionality... trick, or Combat Art... ?

 

Shame if it works for console and alll you can do is stare at a legendary while it glitters it`s taunt.

For SWs it seems to have a good 2h-axes drops, I found 2 skullcrushers in 2 runs on this egg, with my Shadow Warrior.

Now, Hope for Bergonix.

If I well remember, Slevin have dropped a mini-set and nikotastes stingers on the guardians. Maybe he'll confirm this.

I dropped 3 nikotaste stingers on the Poison Lord (1 in 2.43 and 2 in 2.65.1), he seems to have a good droprate for mini-sets.

Now that I think of it I remember that I found some Nikotastes Aegis' from them, but non aspect sets do drop rarely from main quest bosses.

 

Mini bosses on the other hand drop them alot.

Yes it has the same drop chances. I found some legendaries at the egg.
