Shattered Rift 2
I finally took the Shadow Warrior to Level 15 yesterday (completing the achievements for getting each character to Level 15), and I was curious about Ruinous Onslaught. No one seems to talk about it much, and none of the builds utilize it. At a glance, it seems like its only uses are that run boost, and... that seems like all it has. I assume the damage mitigation only exists while the Shadow Warrior is still running via Ruinous Onslaught? Is there something I'm missing that makes this Combat Art viable? Link to comment
Munera 1
Hey! First of all, this combat art has to be casted while running (right click while you're holding the left button). I think I'm going to choose the Adrenaline and Fend modifications. That will give you a huge defense value and +60% multichanel damage mitigation. It should be really good for maneuvers in the battlefield and getting really low damage. That's how I see this Combat Art. People don't use it too much because it's not very good if you haven't modified it, and it's not the most important Combat Art neither, so they won't propably even modify it as they don't have spare modification points. That's why I think it's underestimated. Nobody invest mod points here and nobody test it. However, I have to try it myself before making any conclusions. Link to comment
riftrazor 0
Ruinous Onslought is usefull when combined in a combo following Belligerent Vault. This allows you to get around fairly quickly moving into new battles with a defense boost. Good for negating damage while getting into melee range. Further more by adding Augmenting Guidon to the combo it allows you to be stationary and fight with nice defense bonus as you don't lose the bonus till you move or it expires. Simply attack with Spectral Hand and Rallied Souls. Link to comment
Dragon Brother 619
There is also a bug on pc which I don't know if it's possibleto replicate on console since it involves targeting it outside of the window while mounted resulting in a permanent effect until you release the right mouse button.
