Why the minus attack speed?

I have very high bargaining and went searching for a lightsaber, after about 3 hours I finally got one only to find out it lowers my attack speed by 18%. Now it's like I'm swinging a 2-hander. Are all Lightsabers like that or is it just random?

 

I suppose I could pump sword mastery up some more though.

Strange, if you have sword mastery you should have more than enough to be able to use all swords without penalty.

 

For reference, what level is the lightsaber and how high level swords do sword mastery allows you to use without pnealty?

if you don't have swords mastery I would imagine you could still look to see what level swords in the greyed out page. Otherwise I think it should be your level.

 

Did the sword you compare the lightsaber to have a bonus that you are losing?
