Bloody dryad... just totemed me!

I was on dryad island, making a sweep. A curious noise began, rhythmic and very unusual. Something I'd not heard before unless initiated by my own toon.

One of those strange dryad head hunters...the ones with the full-feathered head mask? It actually used Malicious Totem on me... and after it had done it, it's mate cast it too, I began seeing chunks of my healthpoints removed, threw my hands up in the air and ran!

I've never seen this before, didn't know they could cast this on us.

Was this a bug, do they regularly do this? And why, when I was playing my dryads, I never saw this kind of behaviour...was it only because I was a new class, High Elf... that the dryads on the island used this CA?

Was, all in all, quite fun to be surprised. I'll know better next time.

Not used to getting some of your own medicine huh. Don't think I have noticed them use this CA on me yet. That's cool. Play for over a year and still new surprises. Love this game.

that's because we are usually haulin' arse through there to get out of the Fen Fires. But if you stay awhile there are some interesting Blood Dryads that I didn't remember from Console.

I do indeed, have been hunting for legendaries in that area as I once heard that Blood Dryads & Tree Spirit Champs could drop 'em.

Oh really now. Just might have to take Lt. Finn in there and investigate. He does really well ignoring the "Call of the Fens".

Yes! I used to totally hate that area. Fen Fires are super creepy, and with Dryads, it's like you have to make sure you have Golden Glade Touch going 24/7 because of ambushes. :D

Ah! I'd totally forgotten about that!..I think it was soldats who was talking about drops being high with Dryads? There could be a thread around here somewhere... off to the new google Sacred Search Bar ...Woot!

Is this because your keeping his Spell Resistance at level or :)

I am farming the Crystal Phoenix, up in the far Northern Region. ~very cold~ She has a few hard points into Spell Rez. stacked with +skill. The floating rocks cast the same spell as the fen fires. Still taking damage...not alot but very noticable.

Keep this at level?

I remain, Curious

Most Likely, Yes a high spell resist will help keep the casters at bay. I am going to add it to my next 2 build guides to allow for Swamp, Blood forest, Dryad Isle, Wastelands Leveling. I would have liked it for my la Chusa but 3 aspects just doesn't leave any extra skills.

Sorry Eth can't really give a solid answer as to why fens don't bother me much. Spell resistance is at one point. I have maybe less than 13 all skills I think, have to double check that. But my wisdom is pumped an extra +720 or more from my buff and I socket spel resistance XX%, one artamarks amulet, opponents chance to XX%, about 30% dot, plus my evade CC and evade incoming spells are near 50% and 43% or so. Tonight Ill play with the Fens and try and get a date from one of the Blood Dryads. I'll let you know

:wow: Even without the Skill level you have a ton of Spell Resist with all the willpower and socket % multiplier. And the evade incoming spells of 50%. I would say you are well covered in the Spell Resist department
