MK GADGET-01 Video Journal

Recommended Posts

Here is my young Lost Fusion Temple Guardian, MR GADGET-01, facing Gar'Colossus and using only Jolting Touch (Life Leech-Voltage-Flux .) He is using various set pieces with +1skill jewelry and +1 combat art jewelry. That is the only Combat Art he has modified so far. He currently has the capability to make two more mods to a LF combat art but has not reached a conclusion about which updates to install.

This build needs to be provided equipment from a shopper, but niobium shoppers should not be necessary. Designed for the single player experience. If you have some +skill/art jewelry he can start wearing those level 15 set pieces by level 12.

This build is still in progress, but here are the highlights of the build:

Expert Touch

Attributes:

Stamina: 1 per level

Intelligence: 1 per level starting at 50

Willpower: 1 per level starting at 100

A. Skill Order

LF Lore

Armor

LF Focus

Concentration -- I put this here for the lowered regeneration time early so higher level arts can be spammed early on.

DG Focus

Combat Discipline

Warding Energy -- it is getting time to improve your Shroud

Tactics --helps deathly spears, but invest only 5 points

Damage Lore-- take to mastery. More damage from fire attacks and greater chace of weakening from your derogate modded shroud.

Toughness/other

You will be tempted to invest in DG focus for Combat Alert or your energy shroud but that is not necessary to do before you get both LF lore and focus to your level. Should CA be used as a buff? Your call. Concentration is still useful to reduce regeneration even if you don't use two buffs. But you could easily replace it if you are only going to run one.

Most important offensive Combat Arts:

Jolting Touch--Life Leech/Voltage/Flux ***most important combat art***

Deathly Spears--Gore/Singe/Jab and Jab only, so you get more waves of spears. Batter would do knockback, and we don't want that.

Furious Emblazer-- Accelerant, Incompacitate, Burnout

Notice there are all "in your face" combat arts and thus compliment each other. They are each effective against bosses and DS and Furous Emblazer deal with crowds too. Develop them before your ranged combat arts. Oh, and remember that your Jolting Touch is modified to recharge your combat arts so you can do some rune eating.

Secondary Offensive Combat arts:

Archimedes Beam--your long range boss sniper/debuffer.

Amplifying discharge--for long range normal mob shooting. Max the bullets and chose ice damage. You don't need knockback. If they close in break out the deathly spears/emblazer/jolting touch combo.

Most Important Defensive combat arts:

Energy Shroud--Derogate, Reduction, Reflection

Combat Alert--Barricade, Reposte, X

Early Leveling:

Oh, yeah, even though you are developing Jolting Touch as the first combat art, you can use the other unmodified arts quite effectively. Just buy some socketed gear and put some +damage and -regeneration whets from silver or your hightest level completed along with a couple of furious emblazer runes into it and you are all set for leveling on kobolds. wear +%damage or +%fire damage rings.

Everything is subject to change, as this build has not been tested. :D I welcome comments and suggestions.

ZOMGOD lol..I love it! Seeing HP drain like that always gets me clapping.

Now...if only someone could get a patch going like this in Closed.net!

Nice work, again Robert.

Any plans on releasing build specs? If you wanted, you could put them in the first post of your videos, and we could then even more then into the official guides section for DarkMatters and SacredWiki.

Wow Uber damage :D , one question at what level can you buy +1 All Skill and +1 Combat Art jewelry ?

At about level 14 or 15. I have a level 15 high elf shopper in silver. In case you don't know, you should keep your bargaining skill maxed for a shopper and also make a shopping suit that has a lot of bargaining bonuses to it. I think +2 jewelry is not available until somewhere between level 45-48. So make a shopping character for each breakpoint and you can keep your other characters supplied with gear.

Thanks, gogo. :(

Well, I'm debating some mods with myself (you start talking to yourself when your are old and grumpy) so I would not say the build is completely worked out yet. But I could post a quick "Rough Draft." But until I see it is a successful build, I would not want to call it a working build.

I missed recording Octagolamus due to a FRAPS error again. I think I know what to do if that happens again. Here is MR GADGET-01 taking down Xanthiar and then Carnach.

MR GADGET-01 dispels the Swirling Mist. This is the last part of the battle 3. He is using Furious Emblazer.

MR Gadget-01 vs Gargantropod

Now the cyborg is level 19. His energy shroud is modified for Derogate and Reduction. Jolting Touch and Furious Emblazer are fully modified.

The flying demon Kral is brought down.

MR GADGET-01 shatters the crystaline monster Facettelion.

Our heroic cyborg has now reached the Wastelands at level 22. He has installed an update to Combat Alert, Barricade, to improve his defensive capability. One additional update is available for his Lost Fusion aspects but he has not decided which to install.

On Dryad's Isle he mostly used Jolting Touch as his main attack, though Furious Emblazer was used at times, and even the unmoded Archimede's Beam. AB will likely be the next CA that receives improvement.

MR GADGET will fight his way through the wastelands to gain more levels before facing the nameless guardians.

MR GADGET-01 defeated the Nameless Guardians at level 25. Now he will upgrade his equipment and do some Nameless runs. :) I'm taking three TGs through the game at the same time so progress to Niobium will be slow. My devout guardian is my shopper/boss killer. LF TG will hopefully remain a good boss killer and be able to run some areas well. Anyways, I think I'm gonig to have lots of fun with him. Source TG (not started yet) will be an area runner and hopefully run the swamps well.

Without furthur ado, MR Gadget's crowning achievement.
