podgie_bear 184
I have only installed Ice & Blood a couple of days ago and been playing Dragon Mage, but something strange happens at random intervals. For some reason the display starts to zoom in and out and makes it look like watching an earthquake in progress. Leaving the game and re-entering does not cure it. I have to guide my character away from the area where it is happening, which is not easy as it does not want to obey the control keys and only responds to my clicking on a spot for it to run to. After I have got a goodly distance away from the area (4-5 screen) it stops and carries on as if nothing has happened. Even if I go immediately back into the area where it happened, there is no trace of it and it doesn't recur. Then there is no problems for hours of play until it randomly happens again. Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so how did you stop it happening? Link to comment
locolagarto 15
I have this problem on my wifes laptop. I just always thought is was the inferior graphics card. as when I stay zoomed in I have less problems, and I never have a problem on my Game PC. Link to comment
Ryanrocker 200
Happens to me all the time when zoomed in, then zooming out. For example, when I go to the merchant, it automatically zooms in. Then when I exit, it automatically zooms out, which then results in the shaky effect. Link to comment
podgie_bear 184
Mine is happening in the middle of the countryside for no apparent reason and zooms in and out on a 1-2 second cycle. It keeps on zooming in and out until I leave the area. Link to comment
Stormwing 40
Never seen anything like this. The camera follows my commands really nicely. ^^ My only troubles are some heavy lagging every now and then. Dunno if it is 'cause lack of memory or what... Link to comment
podgie_bear 184
It only seems to happen with my Dragon Mage. I have been playing High Elf Pyromancer all weekend and it did not happen once! Hey Loco, does it happen for all your toons or just some? Link to comment
Dragon Brother 619
I have the same effect as ryan, when its scrolling in to a merchant and then out again it sometimes gets stuck and vibrates back and forth. Not an issue when im out smacking stuff, but I suppose it could happen if the camera zoomed unzoomed automatically for some reason. Link to comment
Arperum 3
I only have it when using a merchant or a chest, it zooms in, jumps back out, zooms in again... and so forth. Until I leave the merchant/chest, then it's back to normal, or just a bit more zoomed in then before. Link to comment
podgie_bear 184
It can be really annoying for me when I have just gathered a mob, cast Energy Blaze on them and am trying to finish off the champions when it goes into a 'yoyo zoom'! locolagarto 15
Give us some specs on your PC podgie? Maybe it's a hardware issue, or lack of. I know DB is on a laptop and so it maybe a performance thing. My experience is the same as Arp and DB. usually only happens on start isle when using the merchants or Chest. Link to comment
Furian67 14
I usually have this issue when running quests in blood forest. And If I'm running in windows mode its really bad. But it will only do it when speaking to the quest guy as the auto zoom goes in, click the box, comes back out. I found that allowing the zoom to complete before clicking the box helps. If this is happening during normal fighting I'm at a loss as to why. Link to comment

chattius 2,512
Maximum, sondern ein bischen weg vom Anschlag.' translation: Try the differrent settings in your options menu for Kamera-Kollisionserkennung = camera collision detection Don't put the contral element for zooming to the utter left or right. I do not know if it is this you suffer from, but you could try. Schot wrote something about camera settings: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8767 Edited August 10, 2010 by chattius Link to comment
podgie_bear 184
Thanks for the advise Chattius. Schot's camera modding did not solve the problem, although it does make the game look different in an interesting way. I don't know if advise about Camera Collision Detection will help, only by playing it for hours without a recurrence will I know for sure, but I am definately giving it a try. podgie_bear 184
Following the advice from Chattius, I tried narrowing the margins of the camera zoom and although it does not eliminate the problem completely, it certainly seems to have reduced the severity of the problem and how frequently it appears. It is now a minor annoyance rather than a major problem. Thanks Chattius. Link to comment
